"Eruptions of a Volcanic Magnitude!"
[This portion written by: Beck]
The segment opens at camp after the Tribal Council that voted
Ami off. Chris says that when they got back everything was going good.
With Ami gone it meant one less to worry about. He is proud to be the last
man standing.
All seemed well and good and like it was going to be a quiet night but there was
still a lot of emotion left in Twila. Eliza was talking about Twila
swearing on her son's life. Twila told Eliza it was like "rubbing salt in
her wounds" to keep bringing it up. Twila says she is sorry she said it,
but she is tired of hearing about it. Twila says the only one she has to
contend with is her son when she gets home. Twila told the tribe members
that they could "Kiss her Ass." Scout, Eliza and Julie tell Twila they are
over it and will stop talking about it. Twila points directly at Julie and
tells her to "LET IT GO!"
The shot changes to an interview with Julie, she says that she thinks Twila's
outburst looked like "an act of heinous insecurity." Julie goes to say that she
is glad Twila had an outburst because "It completely turned everyone off."
She may have to use it against Twila sometime in the future.
Eliza, Scout and Julie are in the hut and Eliza says that she cannot believe
Twila spoke to her in the fashion she did and "Nobody speaks to her that way and
she does NOT tolerate it."
Next Morning:
Eliza and Julie are sitting by the fire and Julie whispers "Twila is coming."
Twila throws her wood down and Eliza and Julie wonder why she is so mad. They
say Twila is hiding a grudge--against herself.
The shot turns to Chris and Chris says he knows it was not a good thing for
Twila to have that outburst because she offended the tribe and Twila has also
taken a road she does not need to take and it is dangerous to her position in
the game.
Julie and Eliza are alone in the woods and Julie suggests to Eliza that they
should keep her instead of Twila. Eliza tells the camera she would
consider making a deal with Julie if it was in her best interest and sometimes
you have to do that to get further in the game.
Julie and Eliza discuss approaching Chris with the idea but Julie knows that
Chris' decision could end her game abruptly.
Reward
Challenge:
Jeff explains that today's challenge is comprised of four previous challenges.
To start with, all five contestants will begin by crawling through a mud pit.
The first four through will continue to the pig pen where they have to catch a
marked piglet. The first three through will continue to put a tiki
puzzle together. The first two will continue by crossing a balance
beam, then jumping into a net and then getting a sling-shot and the first one to
break three tiles will win reward.
Reward
is a horseback ride to Mount Yasur, a picnic of hotdogs, hot chocolate, wine and
beer and spending the night in a hut.
The challenge begins with Chris, Eliza, Twila and Julie being the first four
through the mud pit. Scout is eliminated.
Chris, Julie and Twila are the first three to catch a pig. Eliza is
eliminated.
 Twila
and Julie are the first two to finish the puzzle. Chris is eliminated
(Chris failed to find the last piece of the puzzle on the ground that he nearly
tripped over)
Twila and Julie climb the ladder to the balance beam. They both cross.
As Twila jumps off the balance beam onto a net, she lands on her knee and
injures her leg. She gets off the net and hobbles over to the sling-shot
booth where Julie has already broken two tiles.
Julie
breaks her third tile and JULIE WINS AWARD!! She chooses Chris to join her. Part
I [10 minutes]
[This portion written by: jem2405]
After the Reward Challenge, Chris and Julie freshen up and
make their way through to a jungle clearing. As they emerge from the trees, they
notice the whole area is ash and they are now at the base of Mount Yasur. The
lucky twosome go strolling at the base of the volcano. They are astonished at
the awesome fiery landscape.
In his camera interview, Chris said, "Julie won Reward Challenge and picked me.
After we cleaned up from the mud challenge, we journeyed through the jungle and
finally came out in the extremely dense ash area."
Julie explained, "The decision to bring Chris. I knew none of the others would
pick me. But Chris and I have a bond and I needed to talk to him. He is my door
to open if I want to stay in this game."
Julie and Chris meet their guide that will be taking them to the top of the
mountain later that night. He introduces himself as Joe Ture from Tanna as they
mount their horses for their next adventure.
Making
their way to the hut, they pass beautiful waterfalls and finally come to a small
river. Joe and Julie make it across with no problem but Chris has trouble
getting his horse to cooperate. Joe gives some helpful instruction and finally
his horse makes it across the stream. Chris points out the horse seemed nervous.
( I think he was.)
Julie commented, "There was one part when we crossed the river. Chris just
looking around. He looked so hopeless that I just had to laugh." ( I have to
agree. Chris isn't much of a horseman.)
Chris remarked, "This horse and me had trouble getting to know each other. It
took us a while, you know, for a trusting relationship. So it was a rough start
with the horse but everything else was great."
They rode along a long winding trail and finally came to the bottom of Mount
Yasur. There was a small hut set up with a feast of hot dogs, rolls, relish,
onions, beer and wine. Joe takes them a little further away from the hut to a
small vent from the volcano.
Joe puts the hot dogs on a metal stick and places them with some corn into the
vent. He puts a rock over the hole so the food will cook. The vent is a natural
oven and in three minute the hot dogs are done while the corn takes a little
longer.
Chris tells us, "Julie won reward and it didn't surprise me that she took me.
She wants to get further along in the game and she knows her name is coming up
for elimination this week."
Sitting down and talking game plans together, Julie wants to know where Chris'
loyalty lies. She really tried to work Chris into voting out Twila this week.
Julie explains Chris is her rock. Chris remains undecided as he strategizes with
Julie.
Back at base camp, Twila and Eliza are going at each other about some bananas
Twila has buried for the purpose of getting them to ripen. Scout is egging on
the argument. Twila makes it clear to Eliza if she asks about the bananas one
more time, she will let the damn things rot in the ground.
Eliza complains, "Twila has been telling us she has hidden these bananas. She
buried them to ripen and won't tell us where they are. We just can't hold back
anymore. We don't get along. I am just sick of Twila. I want her to go home
now." They argue for a while longer. Eliza is just sick of the way Twila treats
her all the time.
Back
at Mount Yasur, the three amigos, Julie, Chris and Joe, enjoy their reward trek.
With Joe's expert guidance, the two Survivors make their way to the top of the
mountain at nightfall. The threesome sit to admire the lava shooting up from the
top of the mountain.
Chris compared the spewing lava display to a Fourth of July fireworks. (I'm sure
there is a technical term but I don't know it.) Julie and Chris appear to really
enjoy the entire overnight trip and agree it's the opportunity of a lifetime. In
separate camera interviews, Julie and Chris point out this to be one of the most
amazing experiences in their lives. Part
II [9 minutes]
[This portion written by: mrspopcornsupriz]
Day 35 Chris and Julie return to camp. Chris and Scout hug, Scout says
they are solid as a rock. Chris talks about how it’s game time, all four are
together. Twila thinks everything is OK. Chris is keeping an eye on things.
Eliza says if Chris goes with Julie she will as well. Chris says it depends on
what’s in their best interest. Scout and Twila will stick together. If Julie
stays, Chris and Eliza will be in the final two. They talk about voting Twila out.
Chris doesn’t trust anyone but thinks everyone trusts him. He admits to playing
both sides. He tells Eliza they should wait and see how the challenge goes 1st
before deciding.
Immunity Challenge
Jeff is going to tell them a story about a Legendary Man. They must listen and
try to remember as much as possible.
"Back in the 1200s this guy
Chief Roy comes to this land
and conquers it.
His first goal was to bring
peace by uniting all of the
tribes and he accomplished
that, but sadly the peace
didn't last very long.
Fifteen years later Roy was
murdered, not by an enemy or
a rival chief but by his own
brother.
Certainly it wasn't
forbidden to bury Chief on
the land that he ruled but
the locals were so afraid of
the powerless spirit of Roy
that they took the body to a
remote location and they
buried him there with his 18
assistant chiefs, their wives and all of Roy's
wives.
Before being buried alive
the men were given a strong
brew of kava, not because it
was customary but because it
put them in a dream-like
relaxed state.
The women, however, were
strangled to death before
being buried.
Once the ceremony was
complete, the land was
declared taboo and nobody
visited for seven centuries.
One footnote, the name Roy,
is not a popular name today. In fact it's never been used since."
Here’s how the game goes. There are
six huts containing questions. The answer is
either A or B. If you grab a black tusk, your answer is wrong. You must go back
to the middle and throw it in the urn. If it is white, if it correct and you
must go back and put it on your necklace. The 1st person to answer all 5 right
wins.
Eliza’s first question. "When Roy Mata conquered the land, what was his first goal?"
Unit Tribe or Become Chief. Unite Tribes true. Eliza gets it right.
Chris’s first question: "The body of Roy Mata was not buried on his homeland
because……." It was forbidden or they feared his spirit. Chris answered they feared
his spirit which was correct. Chris gets it right.
Julie’s first question: "Roy Mata was poisoned by his….." Family Member or His tribe.
Family Member was correct. Julie answered it right.
Twila’s first question: "Before being buried alive the man drank kava because …….."
Customary or it relaxed them. Relaxed is the right answer. Twila got it right.
Scout’s first question: "The wives of the Assistant Chief serving under Roy Mata
were also buried alive. True or False?" Scout answered True. She was wrong.
Eliza’s second question. "To this date the name Roy Mata is …..Never Used or
Popular?" The answer was Never Used. Eliza got her second question right.
Chris got his second right. Eliza got her second right. Julie got her third right. Eliza
got her fourth right. Julie got her fourth right. Julie had to wait for Twila to
finish to get to her fifth question. Eliza got her fifth right. Eliza wins immunity!
Now it’s time to head back to camp.
Part
III [10 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy]
Tribal Council The final five walk into tribal council and Jeff calls in the jury.
Sarge, Chad, Leann and Ami voted out at the last tribal council.
The first topic
is who all feels who shouldn't deserve to win and who does. Twila believes there
is a way for someone not to deserve to win. This is the main discussion of the
tribal council. Julie believes that in a way there are people that care about
her. Chris says that this vote is the hardest because he is trapped in the
middle. He doesn't want to vote.
Eliza chooses to keep the immunity and Scout is
called to vote. We get to see Scout vote for Julie and see Eliza vote for Twila.
Everybody is done voting and Jeff goes to tally the votes,
"Once the votes are
read the decision if final. Person being voted out will be asked to leave the
tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes." The votes are read in this
order: Julie. Twila. Julie. Twila. Julie.
Julie brings Jeff her torch and Jeff
says "Julie the tribe has spoken." and snuffs the torch. Just four left,
three tribal
councils, three days, two immunity challenges and one winner.
Julies final words: "Here
I am, its day 36. I'm done. Little bit of a surprise, you know I thought I had
this kinda straight forward brother/sister sock each other around relationship
and was kinda my crutch today and he told me 100% that he was going to vote for
Twila and I dont know if he changed the last minute. Julie placed 5th on
Survivor: Vanuatu and is the 5th jury member in who will win the million
dollars. Will it be Chris, the last man standing? Eliza, the paranoid little
stick girl? Scout, the old lady flying under the radar or Twila the
mind-speaking highway repairer? Part

"Now Who's in Charge Here?"
[This portion written by: jem2405]
Alinta
Day 30
We see all the castaways back at camp after the vote off of Leann. Ami is so
pissed, she tells everyone "Well, all I can say is that was a really good move."
She is talking about Twila and the fact that she swore on her son's life that
she was voting with the girls to get Chris out. They argue back and forth about
it for some time. Chris tells us, "The bitterness started as soon as we got back
to camp. I'm living with five wild cats. It's gonna be good!"
Ami's telling everyone that she is the one that saved Eliza's butt every week
since she has been there. (Blah Blah) In
her camera interview, she says, "I am so disappointed in Twila for promising on
her son's life. It really disgusts me. I have lost all respect for her."
Twila's interview: "We have dethroned the queen and the princesses. People like
that really piss me off cause they think they are so much better than every
fricken body else. Chris, Scout and I have the power now. I have such a great
mind. I love it. Teehee."
Twila and Ami are still arguing as Twila screams, "You and Julie thought you
were all friggen high and mighty." Ami retorts, "Yeah, I totally got a little
cocky." Twila shoots back, "You're dang right."
Ami confides in her interview, "I'm competing with all my heart. I have no
cushion or buddy now. It's me all they way."
The next day, Twila goes for tree mail and finds a jar of water. You hear her
say, "Oh, water/swimming, I want reward so bad!" Walking back to camp, she yells
"I got mail and it's gonna be a good one!"
 |
|
TODAY YOU'LL PUSH YOU LIMITS
OF SWIMMING, BALANCE AND DIVING.
A TEST OF WILL AND STAMINA.
FOR THE LAST SIX STILL SURVIVING,
A GAME CHANGE AND REWARD,
WITH REJUVENATING POWER.
FUEL FOR YOUR BODY, FUEL FOR YOUR SOUL
AND A HOT RELAXING SHOWER. |
Everyone gasps, "OH MY GOD!" Twila pleads, "I sure wish Eliza wins this one. She
is like a little stick girl now." The camera shows a shot of Eliza's back bones
(YUK!) We hear her say, "PLEASE take me
with you if you win. I'm starving to death here."
(Maybe I need to go on the show! ... LOL)
The
Challenge
Jeff drives up in a New Silver Pontiac, gets out and says, "Rather than just
telling you all what you are playing for, I thought I
would show you. For the
winner of today's challenge, a New Pontiac G6 with sunroof/remote start . . . a
good looking car." (Yeah, can I have one for
writing, Morty?) Jeff continues, "That's just the first part. The winner,
plus second and third place, will drive in this car to a Vanuatu Resort to take
a hot shower, go sit on the beach and sip cocktails. Then later, they
will sit
down to dinner. So you guys know exactly what you are playing for, I have the
menu for you to read. You can have as many items as you want and can eat until
the restaurant closes. Then a good night's sleep on a comfy bed and come back in
the morning." Jeff asks "Is that worth playing for?" They all say NO and that's
the end of the show. (hehe JOKING)
Jeff motions them to head to the beach for the challenge. The challenge has the
Survivors starting at a point on the shore and then swimming out to a platform
where they navigate across beams and outrigger boats. At the end of the last
platform, they dive in the
water and swim out to a buoy. There is a rope
underwater with three flags attached to each. They have to swim down to unclip
the flag and then navigate back across the platforms. The tired Survivors then
have to swim to shore to attach the flag to the pole and go back for the rest.
There are three flags in total. The first one with all three flags wins the
Pontiac in addition to the overnight luxury of food, lodging and showers. The
first three to finish get to go on the overnight Reward Challenge together.
Jeff starts the Survivors off. Ami, Chris, Eliza and Julie have a lead at first.
Twila is next with Scout trailing in last. While making their way on the
obstacles, they have a few nasty falls. I found this challenge fun to watch but
hard to commentate. Ami is the first one with a flag followed close behind by
Eliza. They pretty much lead for most of the challenge.
Twila and Scout are not
really contenders. Chris and Julie battle it out for third place. Julie gets
pretty banged up in the process when taking the last flag back. I got exhausted
just watching them. Ami takes a fall in the last leg and that's one of the
reasons she didn't win the car.
Eliza wins the car with Ami and Chris coming in second and third place,
respectively. All three climb in Eliza's new silver Pontiac and go off for the
much needed refreshment of the overnight reward. Part
I [10 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cman]
When we come back from the commercial, Ami, Chris and Eliza are joy riding down
the dirt roads of Vanuatu. Eliza, behind the wheel, is tearing it up in her
Pontiac G6 with sunroof and a very nice engine by the sound of it.
Soon,
the three make it to the resort and are surprised to find....a room. and beds!
and, in Ami's words, "Toilet paper!". Soon, the gang all showers (with Chris
getting nothing but cold water).
Eliza
and Ami meet outside to have a little "I'm sorry" session, apologizing back and
forth about the previous night's votes. Soon, Chris joins them, and they eat,
drink, and sit in the sun listening to interesting Vanuatu music
Back
on the island, Scout is ashamed of her physical condition, and both she and
Twila are gripping about the challenge. Scout says in a interview session that
"If I had the body I had six years ago, I would outlast all these women."
Twila and Scout soon talk strategy, and Julie gets an earful of it.
At the resort, the three amigos are at a restaurant, chowing down and eating
like their is no tomorrow. Soon, Ami provides some "helpful" advice to separate
Twila and Scout. She then conveniently walks away, and although Chris wants no
part in it, Eliza seems enchanted. Later, in the bed (Eliza and Ami, Chris on
couch snoring it up), Ami and Eliza talk more strategy and more Scout/Twila
separating, and by the time Ami doses off, Eliza seems like she is thinking
about Ami's words
Part
II [7 minutes]
[This portion written by: Jem2405]Day
32: Alinta
Julie wakes up to see the three Reward Challenge winners coming back. She says,
"It's great to have new smells in camp. Especially, after having to smell Chris
cause he stinks!" Meanwhile, Scout smells Eliza's hair.
(watching this is a little freaky to me)
In her camera interview, Twila said, "I'm sure Ami worked on Eliza pretty hard
while they were gone; trying to swing her vote. I'm worried. Ami is so pissed at
me. No telling what she will do."
Scout goes to get wood. She is rather put out by the other girls sitting around
the "beauty parlor" plucking hairs from their eyebrows. She is annoyed they are
sitting on their butts doing nothing while she's working hard. In her camera
interview, Scout says, "I am really annoyed they are sitting there, plucking
hairs when we need fire wood. Ami is a control freak. She likes to control the
world and everything in it."
We hear Leann, Eliza and Julie talking about Scout. They think Scout is jealous
because back in her day, she could do everything. Ami comments, "Scout thinks
she could kick my ass."
Ami confesses, "Scout is irritated with me. I don't know what it is with her.
Maybe it's because I still have my body and she doesn't. But after Trial Council
last week, she really pissed me off. It's like she put cayenne pepper in my
pants and said, 'Let's dance'. I'm ready to dance!"
In his interview, Chris reveals, "They're a bunch of alley cats going at it.
(Have to agree there) I know it's the
best thing for me. I'm sitting back waiting for them to shoot each other. Ami
needs to go home. She is a threat. We knocked her off her horse. She needs to
get back up, dust herself off and work to pull something off."
Day33
Julie, Eliza and Ami go to retrieve the Tree Mail. They find a puck with a note
attached:
SOME ARE FASTER AND STRONGER
AND SMARTER AND SUCH
BUT THIS TIME YOU ARE SAFE,
IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOUCH.
Eliza thinks it's balancing. Chris tells us, "I haven't been able to overcome
the physical aspects of the women. I need to win this Immunity Challenge. I'm
the only guy standing."
Immunity Challenge
Jeff asks Ami for the necklace back. She jokes that she can't get it off. Jeff
tells her, "It doesn't work that way," and takes it back. The rest of the
Survivor gang shoot her a glare.
Today's challenge consists of a shuffleboard with all the islands and volcanos
on it. Jeff told the Survivors, "You will each get a different color puck. Your
goal is to land as many of your five pucks on the islands as you can. If you
land in a volcano, you're safe because the puck can not be hit out of the hole.
You can also use your pucks strategically to knock other people off their
island. We will draw numbers each round and there are five rounds." The
Survivors all acknowledge they understand and the challenge starts.
Pucks are flying.
Total Pucks
Chris - 3
Twila - 2
Eliza - 0 (She knocked her own puck off the board.)
Ami - 1 (She also knocked one of her pucks off.)
Julie - 2
Scout - 1
Chris wins this challenge with three pucks. Ami and Julie look crushed. I know
Ami and Julie were close. Jeff places the necklace around Chris' neck and they
all head back to camp to strategize.
Part
III [11 minutes]
[This portion written by: Morty]
As the islanders return from the challenge, Chris says how happy he is to have
finally won something. "It is a bit humorous that it took a non-physical
challenge to finally beat the chicks-- but I'm looking at it as I've achieved
something great here-- I have immunity, and that's all that matters now."
Ami tells us that this was one of her weaker performances,
and in a challenge she feels was the most important one for her to win.
Meanwhile, Twila and Eliza are on the beach talking about
tonight's vote. Twila says that Ami has got to go, but Eliza asks Twila,
"But then after I vote off Ami, are you going to vote me off?" Twila
assures her she wont. Eliza doesn't trust Twila, because last week Twila
swore to Ami on her son's name that she would vote with the her group.
Trust is a two-way street, and Twila's concerned that Ami may
have talked Eliza into voting her off, and in-fact: Ami was campaigning to get
Eliza to vote off Scout. Ami knows that without Eliza's help, she'll be
voted off. Eliza feels that she likes and connects with Ami, more than
Twila. Eliza doesn't seem to understand the it was Ami that tried to
orchestrate her demise at the last tribal council.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff asks Twila what happened to the to vote off the men, "Chris is still here,
clearly the women haven't stayed strong.."
"My desire was to see what would happen if the women did stay
strong, and did stay together. Once the two tribes merged, several of us
weren't able to play the game, we were sitting ducks. A position came along that
a group of us could make a change in the game, so we did."
Jeff: "It seems to me, that you wanted the women to stick
together only as long as it served you, and the minute it didn't, you would
change strategies. There's nothing wrong with that, but clearly, this
whole 'women power' thing is over."
Before Jeff calls for the vote, Ami gets another chance to
call Twila a flat out liar again, and Twila tells her to grow up and get
over it, "Screw you. You've been had."
Eliza tells Jeff how she was disappointed that Twila would
lie on her son's name. She also says how much she would miss Ami, how much
spirit Ami brings to the tribe, and how Ami is the big sister she never had. The
two girls cry a bit, and Eliza says how much she loves Eliza.
The voting begins. Twila is up first and she votes for
Ami, calling her a drama queen to the end. Chris votes next, also for Ami,
Julie votes for Scout, Scout votes for Ami,
Jeff reads the votes, "First vote Ami, [next vote] Scout, one
vote Ami, one vote Scout, next vote, Ami. Two votes Ami, one vote Scout.
[Next vote] Scout, we're tied, two votes Ami, two votes Scout. Ami, that's three
votes Ami, two votes Scout. I'll read the last vote: Thirteenth
person voted out of Survivor Vanuatu, Ami, you need to bring me your torch."
As Ami puts her torch in the slot, she turns to the Survivors
and says, "Good luck. youngens.."
The tribe has spoken, yadda, yadda... In Ami's
post-partum interview she laughs and says if she could just hold Twila's head
under water for two minutes she thinks she'd feel much better.

"Surprise! And...Surprise Again"
[This portion written by: Morty]
We join Chris who is living a male fantasy: The only
man stranded on an island with six women, one of whom is a former Playboy
model. Funny how it sounds better than it looks.
Alinta has just returned from tribal council. Chris is
alone with Ami, Leann, Eliza and Julie. He tells them Twila and Scout’s plan,
“Scout, Twila came to me and Chad wanting to form an alliance with us, and Scout
thought she could get you and Leann to vote for Eliza, and when Eliza was gone,
then Scout, Twila, me and Chad would have the numbers on you Ami and Leann, and
we'd get rid of Ami first. Swear to god on my family's life.” Chris explains in
his interview, “I narked out Scout and Twila and let them know they had
conspired with me and Chad for an alliance. I mixed things up as soon as we got
back. It's going to be a mess.”
The
tribe gathers on the beach to compete in a luxury challenge. Jeff: “It's no
big secret, after 28 days, the one thing you miss the more than food... Is
‘love.’ Here's what we've set out. We brought in a satellite. We have a computer
hooked up to the internet. The winner will get a one-hour real-time e-mail
back-and-forth chat. You type something, they can type back to you. This is a
chance to get caught up with what's going on back home, give a little love and
certainly get a whole lot of love that you need to make it through the last 11
days.”
To whet their appetite, each person got
a one minute sample. Jeff picked Twila to go first, and she asked if someone
could type for her, as she doesn’t know how to type. Jeff surprises them by
revealing that they’ve been provided with a camera, and they’ll able to
videoconference with their loved one.
Twila
was connected with her son, James.
James: “Hi, mom, how are you?”
Twila: “I was doing tough until I seen you.”
James: “You're still tough. We love you. We miss you a ton.”
Twila: “I love you too, buddy. I miss you so much. “
Jeff: “Twila, you have to say your good-byes.”
After each Survivor got a minute to talk
to a special person at home, the game began. Jeff will ask five questions about
previous challenges. At the end of five questions, the person with the most
points wins the reward.
First
question: “In the seventh immunity challenge, who broke the most tiles with a
slingshot overall?” The correct answer is “Rory.” And everybody has it right.
Next question: “In the great escape challenge, who was the first man to begin
assembling his ladder?” The correct answer was “Chad.” Everybody got it right.
“In the second immunity challenge where tribes paired up to collect puzzle
pieces while blind folded, who sat out?” The correct answer was Dolly. Scout,
Leann, Ami, Julie, and Eliza got it right.
Next
question: “In the fourth immunity challenge, there were four different symbols
used on the colored tiles.” Each correct symbol they identified was worth one
point The four symbols were: the volcano, the pig head, the coconut tree or the
palm tree and a skull.
Eliza won a chat with her mom, but in
yet another surprise, her mom was there in person. Eliza was shocked that her
mother, Susan, was there, and it wasn’t to be just a one hour chat, her mother
will be staying overnight. Since all seven family and loved ones were there,
the six that didn’t win were able to greet and hug their special someone.
Everybody hugged and cried, so I switched to ABC and watched “A Charlie Brown
Thanksgiving.” Part
I [15 minutes]
 |
|
The
Survivors made souvenirs for Susan to take back home to the others.
|
Eliza showed her mom around the camp and
offered her some of their trail mix made from fried coconuts and planteens. “Is
it safe for me to eat it?” she asked. In her interview, Susan admitted that she
was really worried about Eliza being on the island. “I was worried about bug
bites. I was worried about parasites. I was worried that she wouldn't be
flossing every day. I was worried about Ebola virus. I was worried about all
these things in the sea, the coral and the things that can cut you and the fish
that can bite you. I was worried”
Ami, Julie, Leann, Twila and Scout go
for a walk together to talk seriously about whom they’ll be voting off the
island. They agree that Eliza will be the next to go, but Leann has some
reservations about the plan, she thinks it might be better to vote off Chris.
Leann also doubts Twila’s loyalty, but Twila swears on her son, James, head that
they can trust her. In the end, they all agree, Eliza will go next.
When it came time to say goodbye, Susan
took off her shirt and gave it to Eliza because she didn’t have anything with
sleeves. “She came out and stripped to her panties and left in only her bra.
She's that kind of woman.” Eliza said proudly.
Part
II [7 minutes]
On
the way to check for tree mail, Julie lets Chris know that his head is on the
chopping block, and he must win immunity to stay in the game. They receive tree
mail that reads: “To save your own skin, you'll need more than just will,
brains and brawn, determination and skill. Yes, it's a race, so you must hurry,
only one will be safe and one more joins the jury. The race is on.”
When
they arrive at the course, they find their love ones are still there and will be
competing with them in the challenge. The players are paired with their loved
one. Each pair will be designated a color. The loved ones will be blind folded.
The Survivors will verbally
direct
their loved ones to retrieve three bags of puzzle pieces. Once they have all
three bags, they’ll take off the blindfold and start putting the puzzle
together. The first pair to finish the puzzle wins immunity for their Survivor.
Chris
was franticly directing his girlfriend, Laurie, to walk faster. Laurie
responded and was the second to bring in both bags of puzzle pieces, but in the
end it was Ami that finished the puzzle first and won immunity. Part
III [7 minutes]
The
girls let Chris in on their plan to vote off Eliza, and Chris is thrilled that
it’s not him that’ll be leaving tonight. Later, Scout and Twila get Chris
alone. Twila asks Chris if he’d like to shake the game up a bit, and Chris says
he would. “Then there’s one person you should be talking to.” Twila tells him.
She explains that if he talks to Eliza and gets her to vote for Leann (Twila and
Scout would have been happy ousting Leann or Ami, but Ami had immunity). With
Scout, Twila, Eliza and Chris together, they have the votes they need.
Chris
tells Eliza the plan, but she doesn’t like it because she doesn’t trust Twila
and Scout. Chris convinces her that if they’re telling the truth, she’ll be out
tonight, if they’re lying, she won’t have lost anything. Eliza reluctantly
agrees.
Tribal Counsel: Jeff calls in
the jury, Sarge and Chad. Jeff asks Eliza, “Did having your mom here wake you
up to how close you are to winning this thing?”
“Yes,
having gotten to the point of the family visit in this game made me realize how
far along we really are because we have talked about this on day seven maybe,
and it was a long-term goal for all of us.”
Jeff also pointed out how determined
Chris was to win immunity. Chris says that he didn’t tell Laurie it was ‘life
or death’ but he felt that it was. Jeff asked Eliza if she’s “Becoming the girl
who cried wolf,” because she’s always expecting to be voted off. She tells
Jeff, “Every time I get back to camp and I find out, oh my God, I was this close
to being voted off. It's not paranoia. It's valid 100%. I very well might be
going home tonight. No joke.”
Jeff:
“Let's get to the vote. Ami, you have immunity.”
Ami: “I'm going to keep it. “
Jeff: “You cannot vote for Ami. Everybody else is fair game. Leann, you're up.“
Leann votes to kick Eliza out saying,
“Group consensus. Everybody agreed, but you are like a little sister. Sorry
Eliza, I had to stick with the team, and I guess it’s your time to go.”
Jeff: “I'll go tally the votes. Once
the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to
leave
the
tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes. First vote, Eliza. Leann.
One vote Eliza, one vote Leann. Eliza. Two votes Eliza, one vote Leann. Eli zoo.
Three votes Eliza, one vote Leann. Leann. Three votes Eliza, two votes Leann.
Leann. We're tied. Three votes Leann, three votes Eliza. I'll read the last
vote. 12th person voted out of Survivor Vanuatu, Leann. Bring me your torch.
Leann, the tribe has spoken. It's time for you to go. Well, as
the
last vote was read, there were some very smug looks, other faces were
absolutely shocked. Nine days left, this game is just been turned on its head.
Grab your torches and head back to camp. Good night. “
As the votes were read, Eliza realized
that had she not voted as Chris directed her to, she would have been the one
voted out. Leann, on-the-other-hand, was shocked and said, “I am just floored.
I just got done saying how it wasn't a life-or-death situation for me. I was
fooled. I was fooled big-time. I'd love to know who voted for me because I am
just freaken flabbergasted at how someone can look you in the eye and lie.”

"Culture Shock and Violent Storms"
[This portion written by: Cman ]
It's night 24 as the Alinta tribe is heading back to camp. No one is really
shocked...yet. Chris soon reveals to the group, falsely, that Sarge pulled him
to the side and asked him to "vote me out". Chris told the group he voted Sarge
out for this reason, and hoped to put himself in cahoots with the women.
Day 25:
Alinta wakes up rather early today, and Scout is up early, and wants to get the
boys in on a plan to take out some of the women, with first Julie and Eliza
being knocked off by her, Chris, Chad and Scout. The guys are just hyped to be
sitting around survivor beach on day 25.
The tribe then goes off to get tree mail, and Twila reads aloud the very
mysterious instructions:
"To this challenge you will bring your pig
Some will push and some will dig
Success depends on how well u move through the earth
Today you'll see how much your little piggy's worth."
Ami then picks up the pig (named Piggy), and it squeals all the way to challenge
beach

The Challenge:
Alinta arrives at challenge beach with piggy, and Jeff is there with Piggy's
mini buff. The girls squeal, think it's cute, but then get right down to
business. Jeff explains the challenge
There will be two teams of four, and one sacrificial lamb. The lamb is tied to a
rope, and the rope is wrapped around various obstacles, and under some too.
First, they have to go through a 3 bar vertical bar, with the lamb to be flipped
back and forth through. Next the teams go through the "hitching post", a large
bar that the lamb has to be weaved through. After that, the go through a tent
like obstacle with more winding bars. Next, there is the bar in the ground in
which the lambs have to crawl under, and finally a large fireman's pole with
many ropes the lambs have to be pushed up through. The reward will be a trip to
one of the native islands for the other team, where they will get a show and a
feast, and bring piggy as a gift
Here are the teams (first listed is lamb)
Orange team: Eliza, Chris, Chad and Amy
Black Team: Julie, Amy, Twila and Scout
Orange and Black both start out through the first obstacle, and they both work
there way through, with Chris and Chad pushing and flipping Eliza through. The
Orange team pulls out ahead, with the Black a few seconds behind. Next, the
teams make their way through the hitching post, where Eliza gets caught in the
rope, and Chad gets her out. They make it through, and the Black teams trails.
The Orange team easily gets through the tent, obstacle 3, and by the time they
make it to the underground pole, obstacle 4, the Black teams is almost done
withthe tent. Soon the Black team catches up, and the teams wiggle their way
through the pole and out to the fireman's pole where, with a little help from
chad, Eliza pulls through and the Orange team wins. The Black team is
disappointed, but the Orange is ready for their island getaway
Part

[This portion written by: jem ]
Chad, Chris, Ami and Eliza go for reward.
The winning quartet are aboard the plane on their way to the village with Piggy.
The view of the island from the plane is awesome. All the castaways are really
excited until Piggy pees on the plane. The smell, according to Eliza, is
disgusting! As the happy foursome make their way off the plane, Chris has Piggy
in his arms and he's squealing in protest as usual (that's Piggy not Chris).
Driving to the village, Ami comments how far they really are from civilization.
All four feel like they are in another world. As they pull up, the village
people (NOT the group) greet them with curious looks. Chris goes in search of
the Chief with Piggy in hand. Once he finds him, he hands the pig over as it's
customary to bring a gift. (About now, I'm thinking Piggy is going to be
dinner). In return, the castaways are given another pig. In his camera
interview, Chris said they didn’t want another pig back.
The villagers place leis around the neck of all four and sit them down on a
bench to watch the festivities. They are treated to some wonderful tribal
dancing. There are no instruments... just clapping, stomping feet and tribal
voices. They were dressed in grass skirts and was adorned with grass
decorations. (I'm just glad the females had coverings on their top half and the
men on the bottom.) All four soon joined in the dancing.
Kava Ceremony:
"What is KAVA?"... I hear you say. Eliza said, “It's like mud, water and vodka.
Right away, it gave me a numb mouth and tongue... a very strange feeling.” Chris
said, “Kava is very powerful.”
At nightfall, the castaways head for the feast. Chad can't walk by himself so
Chris helps him. Once they arrive, one of the villagers has to put Chad to bed.
He later remarked, “I was in a Kava-induced stupor.” Unfortunately, he missed
dinner.
Meanwhile, back at the feast... the remaining survivors shared in the tribal
meal which was set out on the floor. At one end, a cow's head began the
presentation. It was followed by banana leaves laid out filled with meat. The
verdict for the “FEAST” was the meat was par-cooked and rubbery with no taste.
However, all four agreed the meal wasn’t the real reward. Instead, it was the 24
hours they would share in the village together.
After the “FEAST”, they all went out and sat around a fire. All the children
from the village had learned a song to sing to the Americans. They sang to the
survivors in English. I couldn’t make out the entire song but it went something
like, "We are happy you come to visit our village today."
Ami’s final word... "It was the most unbelievable reward challenge we could have
ever gotten.” Part
II [7 minutes]
[This portion written by: NawlinsGal43 ]
As darkness falls so does the rain, Scout is saying " It's raining cats and
dogs, it will be a miracle if we can keep our fire started" Camera shows the
rain pounding against there sleeping quarters and the wind whipping around in
the trees. As the rain subsides and daybreak comes everyone is complaining they
are freezing and that it was the worst night ever.
Upon checking the damages they find pillows, blankets and clothes all drenched
and of course no fire, this then leads to the conversation of the reward
challenge winners probably being dry and warm. Talk turns to it being a good
idea to keep a few guys to help out with the camp for such things as fires and
heavy work. Twila says she would be ecstatic if Eliza was voted out.
Upon their return Eliza and Ami are trying to tell of their adventures on the
other island, they are so excited and want to share the stories of the wonderful
children that sang to them but no one seems to care what they have to say. Eliza
and Ami both comment about them not receiving a welcome back and Ami senses
something went on while they were gone. Ami states "Jules wouldn't look me in
the face.'
Scout goes to the men and tells them she wants Eliza out and would they vote her
out as well, she tells them she still needs to talk to Twila but would love
Eliza and then Ami gone since Ami seems to be the leader, Scout tells them it
would be so much more fun. Chris comments to the camera " the women are not
tight at all, they act all cocky but it's falling apart." He goes on to tell how
he and Chad are playing the ladies by acting all sweet and open so the women
will want to open their hearts to them.
On the beach we are getting ready for the immunity challenge, Jeff explains that
they will climb up a ladder to position themselves on a pole by wrapping their
arms and legs around the pole. The pole has rope wrapped around to place feet to
hold themselves up part way, not enough to step into it just enough to grip for
a little balance. Positions were drawn at random and with a 3-2-1 Step Up Jeff
begins the immunity challenge.
Everyone is trying to find a comfortable position, Ami starts losing her footing
and regroups quickly, Twila starts to try to get a new footing position and
starts slipping then quickly recovers as well, Jules slides down a notch, Twila
is bear hugging the pole for all its worth looking for her grip, Jules 1st out,
Ami slipping, Chris goes down as 2nd one out, Scout right behind at number 3
out, Ami is still slipping and trying to hold on but to no avail Ami is 4th out,
then Eliza is 5th and we are down to 3 left fighting for immunity, Chad showing
signs of struggling and Twila is using her teeth to hang on, Leann is starting
to struggle now as well, and now Leann goes down and is the 6th out, we are down
to Chad and Twila, Chad is slipping but holding on for dear life, Twila is
repeating over and over again "go down Chad,go down Chad, come on Chad please go
down." It must of worked because Chad was the next down and 7th out, Twila wins
immunity, Jeff congratulates Twila and tells them all to head back to camp.
Part
III [12 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy ]
Tribal Council Here we are at the 11th tribal council. Everybody
puts their torches in their slots and Sarge walks in and sits on the bench. The
first topic is how the weather changed. If you've been paying attention its been
wet, wet, and wet! There was discussion about women sticking together. Scout was
asked if there was any scurrying going around and it was obvious there was.
Twila talked about being 99.9% safe but there's always that 0.01% chance of
leaving. Ami knows she trusts others and believes she can be trusted. Twila is
safe and Scout is first. We get to see Ami vote for Chad and see Chad and Chris
vote for Eliza. How do you get "Eliza"?
Jeff tallies the votes and you know what he says normally. The votes are read in
this order: Eliza, Eliza, Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, and Chad. The last vote
remains a mystery even though it is for Chad. Chad brings Jeff his torch. "Chad,
your tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs his torch and Chad leaves. At the end Jeff
says that there is just 6 women and 1 man left. Shortly having his torch
extinguished, Chad says that Ami found a way to convince the women to vote for
him instead of Eliza. He isn't sour or sore about leaving but he wished that he
could've gone farther. Chad is the 11th person voted out of Survivor: Vanuatu in
a 6-2 vote. He joins Sarge in the jury on who will win the $1,000,000 at the
end.

"Gender Wars... And It's Getting Ugly."
[This portion written by: Beck ]
Night 21
We begin with Ami being interviewed and saying she enjoyed Tribal Council (her
exact words were "absolute heaven"). She was still glad to be in the tribe and
enjoyed that the women "shocked the SHiznit out of the men" She was
referring to Twila and Julie voting on the women's side rather than the men...
Chris is interviewed next, he says the men "Put too much confidence in Julie and
Twila" He says that he, Sarge and Chad were in a curious situation and it
will be tough to survive."
Twila is interviewed next and says that she, "Thought she could trust the men
but it did not look as if it were going that way."
Sarge is next interviewed and simply states "As you go through life you learn
more and more about people."
The interview with Twila continues and she says, "Before Tribal Council she
still could not trust the guys because they told her AND Julie that they were
going to be in the final four"...She continues, "I just did it to them before
they could do it to me"...
Chris' interview continues with "Twila and Julie thought they were on the bottom
of the men's pecking order but they are at the bottom of the women's pecking
order because they were gone from the tribe for so long"...Chris warns, "It is
not over, anything can happen."
Day 22
Sarge tells Chris he is hurting and that he thought Twila was sincere and he
does not understand her reasoning. Chris replied, "It must be a woman thing."
Sarge says, "Hats off to the women, they got me."
The next shot shows Scout singing (for lack of a better word) and Sarge is just
glaring at her...he says he feels awkward talking to any of the women.
Reward Challenge:
The Luxury
challenge was a series of questions about Vanuatu culture. The players
were asked multiple choice & True/False questions, if they get the answer right,
they get to light a torch in a ceremonial skull representing another teammate. When a
player has all three of their skull lit, they are out of the game. They
will be playing for a helicopter trip to Mount Morro, a dormant volcano.
While sitting on the top of Mount Morro, the winner will enjoy Champagne and
chicken wings.
The first question: "Vanuatu means? A: Land of fire.
B: Land Eternal C: Land of spirits." Eliza, Sarge, and Scout
got it right. Eliza lit one of Chad's skulls, Sarge lit Scout's and Scout
lit Sarge's.
Sarge is the first one out but not before lighting one of Julie's skulls and
Julie remarks, "I did not hit one of yours" and Sarge replies, "It has gone
beyond that"...
Chad is next out followed by Chris. As Chris makes his way over to the men
he makes a comment to the effect of "No, it is not a woman/man thing."
Sarge laughingly says, "Estrogen City"
Twila lights Eliza's skull for the second time in a row and then Scout lights
Eliza's last skull...Eliza glares at Scout and Scout says, "She is so smart."
Eliza sits with the men and continues to glare at Scout and Twila. After a
while Jeff comments that Eliza is still simmering and Eliza says, "Yes, I am."
Leann wins the reward challenge and gets to take a member with her and she
chooses Julie to go...They are very excited to be going on the helicopter ride
and the other members head back to camp.

Our Trip to Mount Morro
 |
|
|
The two girls go off on their trip to Mount Morro. Julie thanks Leanne for
choosing her. Leanne picked her because she was unclear about where Julie stands
in the alliance. They leave in a helicopter, holding hands, and loving it.
They can’t believe what they are doing, what they are seeing. They went threw a
gorge and it was incredible. The volcano had a steep decline, an untouched
environment. The girls dived into the wings. Cracked open the champagne. They
talked strategy with each other. They talk about getting rid of Eliza before
Chris. Neither of them wants to be in the final 4 with Eliza or Scout. Julie and
Leanne talked about being loyal to each other in the game.
Part
II [9

[This

Eliza goes to get the
tree mail. Just as she is reaching in she is greeted by a PIG! He is tethered to
the mail tree! Wouldn’t you know it. The day she goes alone she has to cart this
thing back. She tells us that she has no experience with animals (poor piggy)
She un-tethers the pig and drags him down to the beach all the while the pig is
screaming bloody murder. Eliza is talking to the pig saying “Shhhh, C’mon why
don’t you want to go”. (Could it be that he knows there is a hungry tribe
waiting for him)
When
she gets to the beach she sees Chris in the distance and yells for him to come
help her. The whole camp minus Ami, come runny. I'm sure they all see the same
thing. FOOD! Sarge and Twila have machete in hand and all they can think is
BACON! Sarge wants to eat him so bad he can taste him. Eliza tells him NO and
reads from the letter.
"Health, wealth a status symbol. With this pig you could have it made. Feed him,
clean him and take good care. Give him shelter in the shade. Soon enough some of
you will learn the value of this pig. So keep him happy healthy and in your
camp. Soon he could pay off big."
Sarge says he still wants to eat him and all he sees is ribs. Twila agrees he
looks tasty.
Back at camp Sarge is making a friend of the pig. He is sitting alone bonding
with it. He is as happy about not being able to eat the pig as he was when he
found out it was estrogen city moved into the camp. He cant link himself to
estrogen city so he is going to bond with the pig. (If I was the pig I would
run). All the girls are looking on thinking Sarge has lost his marbles.
Immunity Challenge
As they walk up to meet Jeff he notices the look on Sarge’s face. He says “WOW,
you look angry Sarge”. Sarge says “Just thinking”. Jeff walks over and take the
Immunity Necklace from Sarge. Individual Immunity is back up for grabs.
The
challenge consists of Jeff showing the a configuration of a puzzle and they have
to make that same configuration after he takes the picture away. They have about
15 seconds to memorize it and one minute to duplicate it on the puzzle in front
of them. Get it right and you move onto the next round. Get it wrong and you are
out. Last one standing has Immunity. Please randomly choose a puzzle board and
we will start.
First Round - Eliza, Julie, Twila, Leann, Ami and Scout are right. Chris, Chad
and Sarge’s are wrong. ( The boys look very unhappy)
Round Two - Eliza, Julie, Ami and Leann right. Scout and Twila are wrong. (Again
the men are not happy as they want Eliza out)
Round Three - Jeff gives them less time to look at the configuration. (The girls
are frantically trying to make their puzzle right.)
Julie, Ami and Leann right. Eliza wrong. (the men are a little happier)
Round four - Jeff gives even less time. (They are all getting flustered)
Ami right. Leann and Julie wrong.
Ami Wins Immunity. Jeff Place the necklace
around Ami’s neck and they head back to camp.
Part
III [10
minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy ] Tribal Council-
The Alinta tribe walks into tribal council. They put their torches in their
slots and sat down. The first topic was how Eliza was mad about being the first
woman to be eliminated from the reward challenge. Jeff stated that Eliza was
struggling with the women ever since the first tribal council. Now Eliza made up
a "Rory syndrome" in which somebody feels they may be voted out. Sarge was asked
about the sense of division. There was four people voting one way and two voting
another way. (That's what he said! Think he forgot three more people...)
Twila felt
she was in the middle of two alliances and she was being played by the guys.
Leann respects Twila for admitting her mistake of playing both sides. Chris said
that duplicity played a big part in the game for it was all about numbers. Ami
won immunity and chose to keep it. Eliza was called to vote.
Surprisingly the
producers showed no one's votes. Jeff goes to tally the votes. "Once the votes
are read the decision is final. The person being voted out will be asked to
leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes." The votes are
read in this order: Sarge, Eliza, Julie, Sarge, Sarge, Sarge. The last two votes
weren't revealed. They were for Sarge as well. Sarge brings Jeff his torch.
"Sarge the tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs the torch and Sarge leaves. Sarge is
the 10th person eliminated from Survivor: Vanuatu in a 7-1-1 vote. Those that
voted for Sarge were Ami, Chris, Eliza, Julie, Leann, Scout, and Twila. Sarge
voted for Eliza and Chad voted for Ami. Sarge is the first member of the jury who
will cast a vote in choosing who will win the $1,000,000 and title of Sole
Survivor.

"Now the Battle Really Begins"
[This portion written by: Cman]
As the show begins, we arrive at the Lopevi tribe where no one is shocked or
surprised with John's eviction. The night there is obviously cold, because, as
best told by Sarge, "We were sitting around the fire, and Julie sits down
between my legs." Obviously the guys noticed too, with Chad commenting that
Julie stayed there for a LONG time.
 |
 |
The next morning, All the guys are all giddy over the event, with Chad comparing
Julie to Mary Ann from
"Gilligan's island." Sarge doesn't seem to mind the close company.
"Ya know, she's fine, she's a model". Later, Julie, Twila and Sarge are laying
on their stomachs gettin a nice tan, when Julie suggests that Sarge drop trou.
He does, and Twila and Julie decide to also. Soon,
Chris and Chad are calling for Sarge to put his pants on, while Julie lies naked
in the sand

At Yasur, Rory is already commenting. "If Scout and I stopped working, this
whole camp would stop". He's obviously referring to that while he and Scout were
chopping, gathering, and boiling, Leann was being a little crabby, not liking
the food and moodily chopping coconuts. Eliza, on the other hand, is fire
challenged and is having trouble boiling water, and Ami is being queen bee in
her own little world in the hammock. Rory quotes "I'm tired of these women, I'm
tired of them"
As the tribes meet at challenge beach, Yasur notices that both of the women are
still there. Scout says she had a dream in which Twila was voted out and "she
was crying and Twila was crying". Sarge then states "Twila's not going
anywhere". After this, Jeff Probst reveals the reward. Cookies, milk, and a BIG
OL CHOCOLATE CAKE. let the challenge begin!!!!!
Part
I [12 minutes]
[This
portion written by: Beck] The reward challenge is
water tossing game...The members must toss the water out of their bucket into
another members bucket in an assembly line whereas the last member will fill a
bucket at the top of a platform...When the platform bucket is full the bucket
will lower and cause the other side to ignite a fire...The Lopevi tribe wins
reward...
The reward is milk, chocolate chip cookies and the largest chocolate cake Jeff
Probst or myself has ever seen...
Day 20
This day begins with Sarge feeling awful staring at a partially eaten chocolate
cake...He says he wished the night before would have never happened because his
body was not ready for that much sugar...
During a private interview Twila comments that Scout went on and on about how
happy she was still on the tribe...Twila says she wished Scout would have toned
it down a bit because she needs the guys to believe she is with them
wholeheartedly...Twila is afraid the guys may read something into the speech
Scout gave at the beach...(I took these comments to be some sort of
foreshadowing)...
Chris and Chad are talking...They say that Julie is definitely with the guys
because she proved herself at the last tribal council and Twila is too stubborn
to be with the women...Chris and Chad say that they are together til the end
because taking Sarge to the end would result in Sarge winning...At one point
Chris tells Chad "I think you and Sarge both have a leg up on me"...He realizes
what he says and tells Chad "Man, I did not mean to say that"...Chad told him
that there are a million puns out there in reference to this prosthetic
leg...They both break into laughter at the comment...
While in a private interview Chris says he made the same "final two" agreement
he made with Chad also to Sarge and Julie...He says if a merge occurs and one of
his alliances are voted off he still has two members to watch his back...
The teams meet on the beach for the immunity challenge...Jeff immediately
announces "Drop your buffs". The teams seem to welcome the merge by all cheering
and hugging...While Rory hugs Chris he tells him "I am happy to be out of
there"...Jeff tells them they have to decide which beach to live on and Twila
chimes in about how nice the Lopevi tribe is so everyone decides to live
there...
The reward challenge begins:
The members are playing for individual immunity in a water race...There are two
separate heats, each consisting of five members...They start on the beach, swim
to a tower, climb a ladder, cross a balance beam, grab one of three flags, jump
off platform, swim back to shore and place flag in flag holder...The first two
people out of each heat that get all 3 flags into the flag holder will move on
to finals...
In the first heat: Sarge and Eliza move on to finals
In the second heat: Rory and Ami move on to finals
The four members repeat the very same race and Sarge wins individual immunity
with Rory not far behind...
Part
II [11 minutes]
[This portion written by: NawlinsGal43]
On the 2nd heat of the immunity challenge lined up to go are Twila, Ami,
Rory, Chad and Scout. Rory first to the tower with Ami not far behind and Twila
and Chad not far behind her, first in with flag #1 is Rory then Ami, Chad, Twila
and Scout, as Scout is placing her first flag Rory is already heading back with
his second flag followed by Ami. Chad almost falls from his tower, barely
hanging on he is able to pull himself back up to stay in the game, Rory and Ami
are going strong and Jeff says they are started to get
winded, still waiting on
the others to place their second flags, Chad places his second flag and Rory and
Ami coming in neck and neck with each of their third flags. Rory and Ami win the
heat and will join Sarge and Eliza in the final competion for immunity. Sarge,
Ami, Rory and Eliza line up and they all take off with Sarge taking a fast lead
with Ami trying to catch up, Sarge comes in with his first flag then Rory, Ami
and Eliza, as the last three are swimming back to the tower Sarge is coming in
with flag #2, next comes Ami with her second flag, Jeff says it appears Eliza is
out of it, Rory starts in with his second flag as Sarge races in with his 3rd
flag to win immunity.
Jeff announces that Sarge is the first winner of the individual immunity, then
joking around tells him " lets see if we can get this immunity necklace over
that big noggin of yours" Jeff then tells the teams to head back to their camp
which will be the former Lopevi beach, he tells them to take the afternoon to
figure out a new name for their tribe, design a flag and figure out who will be
voted out at the first post merge tribal council.
When they get to the camp their is a big celebration waiting for them. They have
Grapes, Cheese and Crackers, Wine, leftover Chocolate cake and various other
items.
Chris says this is a new time and it is time to have some fun for the first time
in the game. Scout is thrilled that Twila is back with her, she goes on and on
about how much she missed her and says its a reunion and a happy one. Sarge says
"this is off the chain" then you see him bowing down to the coffee gods in front
of the coffee maker. Rory has plenty to say but wants to make sure that all the
guys know that Ami is the one that caused Bubba to go home, he tells of how Ami
caught him trying to talk to the men's team and get a message to them. Tells
that Ami is the leader of the pack and that she is trouble, he goes on to say he
is ecstatic to be back with some men and how he was told by Ami that he was
going to be the next to go because the women where going to stick together he
says " Ami had me squirming and now I feel like the cat that swallowed the
canary because my fortunes have just changed." he assures Sarge that he is 100%
with the guys. Sarge tells Rory " I'm not going to lie to you, I didn't think
you were a team player, are you sure you are going to be 100%" Rory assures
Sarge and Chad. Chad says are family is 5 strong, he is including Twila and
Julie and now we have Rory for 6.
Day 21 Everyone is making the team flag and painting each other. Scout
says the new team name is ALINTA which is people of fire and fire is the main
thing on the island. Eliza keeps telling how much she missed Julie saying they
had gotten so close in the first 12 days and she missed her the past 9 days so
much.
Sarge says the girls are all some painting fools, laughingly. He sees Julie with
Ami and starts getting a little nervous, the guys really want Ami out of the
game because she has to much control over the girls. Sarge then says " it's like
kids on the playground, boys vs. girls and at the end of the day anything can
happen.

Tribal Council- We are on night 21 with the newly merged tribe. It
consists of Ami, Eliza, Chad, Chris, Julie, Leann, Rory, Sarge, Scout and Twila.
Then the topic went to workload and leadership.
Leann Chad to choose between keeping the tribes separate and merge. Rory claims
he was given a second chance. Ami was asked if she thought she would make the
merge and what she brings.
Later the topic came to based the voting on. Sarge
won immunity and doesn't give it up. Jeff calls Chris to vote.
After everybody
votes, Jeff goes to tally the votes. "Once the votes are read, the decision is
final. The person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area
immediately. Ill read the votes." The votes are in this order: Ami, Ami, Ami,
Ami, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory, Rory. The 9th person voted out of Survivor:
Vanuatu is Rory in a 6-4 decision. Rory brings Jeff his torch and it gets
snuffed. Leaving the tribal council, Rory will never forget his experience on
the Islands of Fire. I'm actually glad Rory is gone because he was just to
irritating. I'm sure all of us thought that Julie was the one to go and Ami would
win immunity. Oh no my friends we were way wrong. Sarge won immunity which
surprised me and Julie didn't even get a vote.

After a recap of last weeks episode we focus on Lopevi, Day 16:
Chad says camp is running well except for John who is not doing his share of the
work...John says at camp there is not much to do and he is bored and tired and
we see clips of him napping and
resting...Chad
and Chris discuss the fact that John seems to "grub" food at dinner times and
sometimes eats three bowls of food at one sitting...Chris expresses concern that
John seems to coast through the game and vows that he will NOT coast through on
their team....
Yasur, Day 16:
Rory says he prays every morning and is so thankful that he was able to "crack
the ladies" and not get voted out at the last Tribal Council. He has a new
objective, "weasel in with Ami and Leanne".
The next shot is of Rory having a discussion with Ami and Leanne and Rory tells
Ami he will back her all the way, even to the jury. He tells them that he
deserves to stay more than Eliza because he can bring more to the table. Ami
expresses concern about what Rory would do if the teams merge, she questioned if
he would remain loyal to the women. The discussion gets to a point that Ami
tells Rory not to cuss at her. Leanne tells Rory that the teams were already
aligned before he joined the tribe. Rory repeated that he would stay true to
Yasur and does not give a (bleep) about Sarge or Chad...
Rory is now being interviewed alone and says that he discussed with his wife
before going on the show that if he got double crossed he would go into a "self
destruct mode" and "slash, burn and salt the earth"...He "guarantees that Yasur
would burn" if he is voted out...(On a personal note, I think Rory was beginning
to lose it and I would be afraid to be on the island with him.)
Yasur
and Lopevi meet on the beach for the reward challenge. Lopevi is surprised that
Yasur voted Lisa out of the tribe last week...Twila comments that she was
surprised they did not vote Rory out at the last tribal council and keep all the
women together.
The
challenge consists of breaking open a coconut, pouring the juice into a bowl (I
use the term bowl very loosely, it is actually a coconut shell) and running an
obstacle course before pouring the juice into a jar located at the end of the
obstacle course. The team that fills the jar first and brings the jar back to
the finish line wins...
The
teams are playing for a "Home Cafe" which consists of all types of coffee,
croissants, juice and a "taste of home"...The winning team will be able to take
a coffee maker and mugs back to camp.
Lopevi chooses to sit out Sarge for this challenge.
John and Eliza face off first and then each member takes a turn taking their
bowl of coconut juice through the obstacle course and returning. When Scouts
turn comes around she purposely spills her bowl of juice immediately after
breaking open the coconut so that Eliza and take her place in this challenge
since Eliza did very well navigating the course during her turn.
Leanne and Julie face off in the last round and it is a race to get to the jar
with the bowl of juice...Leanne does very well. Julie is going a bit slower and
falls behind. Leanne eventually makes it to the end and fills the jar past the
predetermined full mark. She then has to take the jar back to the starting line.
Just as she gets within arms distance of the starting point she trips and NEARLY
spills the juice but hangs on to it for the victory...

I [13 minutes]
[This portion written by: XandraSkye]
When we come back from commercial break we see the winning
tribe of the Home Café Reward Challenge, Yasur, walking up to a hut on the beach
with the sign “Home Café”. Coffee and croissants are laid out. We hear Eliza
narrating, “We won the reward challenge and we got the opportunity to go to the
Home Café. We’re walking up and I see a big bulletin board with lots of
pictures.”
Everyone is very excited about getting to see pictures from home and having the
chance to share their lives and loved ones with their tribe members. Eliza says,
“It was a really nice moment for all of us because getting to share everyone’s
family members with them and getting to see all of their pictures. It just…oh,
it just touched my heart.”
Then the coffee is put on to brew and everyone digs into the croissants. We hear
someone say, “How cool is this?”
Eliza notices five envelopes laid out on a table with everyone’s name on them.
Leann says, “We really needed to win this…coffee & croissants and we got letters
from home.” Everyone is visibly excited and happy. We even see Ami and Rory
share a tender moment. Everyone makes a toast, with their juice, to “home and
family.”
Scout received a letter and pictures from her partner, Annie, who she says is
“such an amazing and beautiful human being.”
Ami got a letter from both her mom and her dad back home. Her dad said, “Your
little buddy is watching you from above.” Ami says her dad was referring to her
little brother who was killed in a car accident almost 7 years ago.
Everyone is crying while reading their letters from home, even Rory. Rory
receives a letter from his wife who gives him this message, “Keep in mind that
although you may not change a situation you still have control over how you will
respond.” Rory thinks his wife has impeccable timing considering that earlier he
was talking about burning up the Yasur tribe if they should vote him out.
But don’t think that the love that is being spread around the Yasur tribe at the
Home Café has taken Rory’s mind off of the game. In an interview he tells us,
“Even though the pictures and letters really put a human face on everybody and
their families for me it still is about playing the game. Anybody that knows me
knows that I always, always carry an extra ace up my sleeve. And believe me that
even though this is a lovely moment and were bonding and everything else I
haven’t forgotten where they put me…but it’s a beautiful day in Vanuatu”, as he
takes sip of coffee.
Lopevi beach on Day 17. We see Twila and Julie walking to the beach.
Twila tells us that they needed to talk because they are the only two females
and are the odd men out. Julie asks Twila what she thinks about the final four
and asks her, “Have they been promising you that?” and Twila wants to know if
one of the guys have approached Julie about being in the final four. Both Twila
and Julie give a nervous laugh as a way to admit that they guys have promised
each of them a spot in the final four with Sarge, Chris and Chad. But, in an
interview with Julie we find out that she used reverse psychology on Twila and
that the guys have NOT approached her about final four. Julie mentions that her
and Twila have had a rocky relationship but since Twila was being sucked in with
the guys she had to come up with a plan. She says, “My plan worked…for right
now.” So, it looks like Twila and Julie have formed an alliance, which they find
amusing since they are an unlikely pair.
[This portion written by: NawlinsGal43]
Day 18
We start with the tribes walking to get their tree mail. Yasur open the mail and
finds a sack of marbles and a slingshot, enclosed a note " If you shoot poorly,
you could get the boot." Julie feels a little intimidated by the shooting task
and states " I could be going home."
At Lopevi Sarge is saying "Oh yeah this is ours, Lopevi is going to win this, we
got it in the bag." John K. states that he really needs this win so the team
doesn't go to tribal council because he knows he will be voted out.
Back at Yasur Rory is all pumped up and teaching the ladies how to aim and shoot
at a target. Rory in a voice you would hear announcing a wrestling match roars
"Lets get ready to rumble, we have the ladies of Yasur plus one." this is the
happiest I've ever seen Rory.
Both teams walk out on to the beach. Jeff welcomes them and tells Chris it's
time to give up the immunity and it is now back up for grabs. Jeff tells
everyone he hopes they have been practicing with the slingshot and marbles they
received earlier.
The immunity challenge will be shooting at tiles and breaking it free from the
wires holding it in place, must be free from all wires holding it up. Each tile
represents a wooden tile on the ground, each player has a lane and will move up
as their tiles are broken till they move off the wooden area to the mat. Once
you are off the wooden tiled area and on the mat you no longer will take shots
for your team. First team to knock out 20 tiles wins immunity. The teams are
uneven sot Lopevi you need one member to sit out, who will it be, Chris speaks
up and says he will sit out.
The
game begins, first up is Rory and Chad who both connect, first person to move on
the wooden grid is Leann, next up is Ami and Julie, then Scout and Sarge who
both connect and Leann moves up another spot on the wooden tiles. Lopevi and
Yasur are now tied at this point, next up is Leann and Twila and the score
becomes Yasur 3-2, next up is Eliza and John, John connects and ties it back up,
a few more take turns and the score is now Yasur 7 and Lopevi 5, Rory and Chad
are up, Chad's shot takes John out the game and Julie is up next, Rory is the
only shooter left on his team, Julie misses as Rory connects, Jeff states "Rory
is just on fire, there is no stopping him." Score is now Yasur 17
Lopevi 15,
Rory and John are up, Rory connects as John misses, now Rory and Chad are up
Rory connects and Chad misses, Rory takes his next shot which would give Yasur
20 to win, Rory misses, next up Rory and John, Rory connects and has enough for
Yasur to win the immunity. Rory is all excited yelling " Woo Hoo Woo" Jeff tells
Rory that he just dominated in the game and announces Yasur wins immunity, then
Jeff states " well Yasur this will be the first time in awhile that you don't
have to go to tribal council and on day 18 Lopevi who we haven't seen in tribal
council for awhile will have the afternoon to decide who you want to vote out,
go ahead and head back to your beaches."
Rory
is very excited because he figured he would be voted out if they lost tonight,
Rory saying that he rocked Ami's world today, I just rocked her world, also
states that she is #1 on his hit list!!!!!!
Part
III [7 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy]
Tribal Council- Lopevi walks in the tribal council area for the first time in
two tribal councils.
The first topic of discussion is the sudden losses. After winning
four challenges, Lopevi lost both reward and immunity. Everybody is shocked at the sudden losses. Next talked about how they planned to vote back at camp. Then they talked about the roles around camp and asks Sarge how Twila does well. Next Jeff asks John K. how Twila could do better. Now the topic is who trusts Julie and can she be trusted. Jeff asks Chad how life at camp is. Sarge is called to vote. Once everybody votes, Jeff goes to tally the votes. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person being voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area
immediately. The votes are read in this order: John K., Chad (Gasp! Chad got his first vote!), John K., John K., John K. 4 votes is enough and the last vote remains a mystery. It was for John K. too. John K. brings Jeff his torch. "John, your tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs his torch and John K. leaves. John K. is the
eighth person eliminated from Survivor: Vanuatu in a 5-1 vote. Those that
voted for John K. were Sarge, Chad, Chris, Julie and Twila. John K. was the only
one to vote for Chad.

"Hog Tied"
[This portion written by: cman]
We arrive at the Yasur camp, and it is the night after Tribal Council. Rory is
very concerned about his fate in the tribe, with his only male comrade Bubba
being recently axed. He starts talking to Scout, saying how he has no chance to
be here, but it seems he has a plan. "The ladies made the mistake of telling me
that I was the original one that was gonna go". He keeps talking to Scout,
obviously very peeved, and hoping to find a vote not for him. Scout later says
"Rory would like to tell everyone off right now, but that would seal his fate."
It's morning at the Lopevi tribe, with all the men accounting how women will
play into the game. Sarge is admitting to dirtier dreams now that the women are
here, and Chris is sure the women will fly under the radar. They seem to be very
much a part of the tribe, already talking strategy with the guys. Julie and
Twila seem to be making a name for themselves, with Julie flirting and Twila
bonding with Sarge. The women then go off into the jungle and discuss strategy,
knowing that, according to Twila, "we're both vulnerable, we know it"
The daily tree mail has been delivered, and Yasur finds it peculiar, seeing a
wooden pig in a wooden cage, and they ponder the challenge shortly, before Rory
wants to deliver his speech. Rory, knowing a very large possibility of eviction
tonight, preaches to the ladies that he wants to be straight with them, work as
a team, hope for them to see him as a team member more than as a guy. He later
states he can't believe that THEY believed his "cheesy crap", and the two teams
head to challenge beach.
Jeff:
"On the islands of Vanuatu pigs are highly
valued.
They are currency and they
are a status symbol and
right now they have a value
to you.
Today's challenge is for
reward, and you're going to
get good and muddy as a
result. We have assembled a
pen, filled it with pigs.
Your goal, catch the
pig
five tribe members will be
pig catchers.
They are responsible for
catching two pigs each.
You can grab two at once or
one at a time.
One person will be a
gatekeeper.
Their job is to make sure
the pigs you catch remain
caught.
First tribe to collect ten
of their tribe colored pigs
wins reward.
Want to know what you're
playing for? Steak and eggs.
Six
big steaks, six eggs, skillet to fry them in and lots of ingredients to make
them taste nice and good."
Both
tribes are very excited about the reward, but Lopevi is absolutely drooling.
Lopevi selects Julie as
gatekeeper,
Yasur selects Scout. Rory and John first out and they both bring in one pig.
Lisa and Chris are out next. Chris grabs one for Lopevi. Lopevi
has a 3-2 lead and
Chris tries for a second and succeeds. Lisa gets her pig and it's the
largest in the pen.
Eliza tries but can't catch one.
Lopevi with an 8-4 lead.
Sarge needs to get two pigs.
[This portion written by: MrsPopcornsupriz]
Leanne gets a pig. Twila’s in. Rory’s in, Rory loses his 2nd pig. Twila gets her
pigs. Sarge is in. Rory gets his pig. Sarge gets his pigs. 9-5 Lopevi wins the
steak and eggs. Part
I [12 minutes]
Lopevi:
Twila is happy saying we kicked some ass. There cooking their steaks. Sarge is
on cloud 9; he is so pumped about getting some meat. The tribe is enjoying the
food. Tribe was talking about how they can’t believe that Eliza said she can’t
do it.
 Yasur:
Leann said it seemed like Eliza didn’t want to get dirty. Rory says if we lose,
he goes home, he says the tribe will sink with Eliza killing the team. Eliza is
very sorry. Lisa tells her not to worry about it but behind her back says Eliza
is the reason they lost. Ami tells Eliza she can cry. Eliza said she is not use
to being bad at stuff. She talks about how she like Scout as a person but she
doesn’t want her here, she has a bad knee. Ami tells Eliza she is capable to
win. Eliza wants to believe they can win but thinks they will lose.
Rory
seems glad that everyone sees the damage Eliza did. They need to keep a strong
player. Hope’s there’s a crack, a chance for him to stay, and he thinks he found
it.
Part
II [6 minutes]

[This portion written by: XandraSkye]
It’s day 15 and we go to the Lopevi beach. Julie comes out of the water and
mentions that she would like to tan her ass. Chad says, “The co-ed thing is
working for us” and mentions that it has boosted morale in the tribe. Lea (aka
Sarge) comments on Julie’s sunbathing and how good she looks and gives us this
comment, “If you got, sunbathe it.” Julie tells us that she likes to flirt.
We see evidence of a friendship blooming between Twila and Sarge. Sarge says
that he sees Twila as a “friend for the next 20 years” and that he would also
put her in dress a take her out because “she’s a lady too.” Sarge and Twila
discuss her and Julie’s loyalty to Lopevi versus their old tribe, Yasur. Twila
says that she will stay with Lopevi and she’s pretty sure Julie would too. Sarge
said Julie would be a fool not to. In one of Sarge’s interviews he tells us that
he’s with Chad and Chris but 3 is a strange number and 4 strong is better. He
tells Twila basically the same thing and that he doesn’t trust John. Twila
agrees that John can’t be trusted. Sarge then gives Twila his word as a man that
she will be part of the final four. In an interview with Twila see says she’s
not sure if she should trust him but she has to trust someone at some point.
Next we see both tribes going to the immunity challenge. When they get to the
beach Jeff mentions that Travis was voted out at the last tribal council. Jeff
then says, “This challenge is going to wear you out.” Here is how the immunity
challenge goes: 4 tribe members will start on a floating platform where they
will find 8 wooden Tiki pieces. Each tribe member must transport two Tiki pieces
to the beach by moving them along a rope through a water obstacle course.
The
1st stage they must maneuver the pieces around an outrigger canoe. For the 2nd
stage they must get the pieces and themselves up and over a wall. For the 3rd
stage they will go under water and maneuver the pieces through 3 hitching posts.
For the final stage they must maneuver the pieces through a truss.
Once
they have the pieces up on the beach and on their Tiki piece holding thing (I
don’t know what Jeff called it) then the next person can go.
Once all eight pieces are in the Tiki piece holding thing then the final two
tribe members can assemble the Tiki.
First tribe to assemble their Tiki correctly wins immunity and guarantees one
more day out there. Losing tribe has to go to tribal council and vote a member
of their tribe off the island.
Yasur picks Scout and Lisa as the two people to put the Tiki together, Lopevi
picks Twila and Chad. The 4 swimmers from both tribes head out to their
platforms.
Jeff says, “For immunity…Survivors, ready, go!”
First two to go are Chris for Lopevi and Ami for Yasur. Chris takes the lead and
gets his two pieces to the beach first. Next to go are Sarge for Lopevi and Rory
for Yasur. Rory makes good time and closes the gap between the two tribes. Jeff
says, “We are dead even at two.” Next to go are Julie for Lopevi and Leann for
Yasur. Leann gets held up at the hitching posts. She runs out of steam and
Lopevi takes a big lead. The last person from Lopevi, John, gets his two Tiki
pieces up on the beach before Leann can even get past the hitching posts and
Eliza ever gets a shot to compete. Chad and Twila put the Tiki together and
Lopevi wins Immunity.
Jeff
says, “Obviously a very tough challenge” and that Yasur gave a great effort but
the 7th person will be voted out tonight at tribal council and that Yasur has
the afternoon to decide who it will be and that they can all head back to camp.
Part
III [12 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy]
Tribal Council- The Yasur tribe walks into the tribal council with a very
gloom attitude. The first topic is how Leann is feeling knowing that she is
responsible for losing immunity. Scout is asked whether she will vote based on
loyalty or strength. Eliza and Lisa are both questioned whether they should be
trusted tonight. Ami is asked how she will vote and she says she will vote based
on loyalty. Eliza is called up to vote. Everybody votes and Jeff goes to tally
the votes. "Once the votes are read the decision is final. The person being
voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read
the votes." The votes are read in this order: Lisa, Rory, Rory, Lisa, Lisa,
Lisa. Lisa brings Jeff her torch. "Lisa, your tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs her
torch. Lisa leaves and Jeff says that last tribal council the women stuck
together to vote out Bubba. Now alliances seem to be crossed. Those that voted
for Rory were Lisa and Scout. Those that voted for Lisa were Ami, Eliza, Leann
and Rory. Lisa becomes the 7th person eliminated from Survivor: Vanuatu in a 4-2
decision.

"Earthquakes and Shake Ups!"
[This portion written by: cman]
The show starts off at the Lopevi tribe, the day after the
tribal council. No one is shocked or arguing about the last nights boot like at
Yasur, but are up early arguing about the seats around the camp fire. Sarge and
Chad are complaining that Bubba has the best spot around the campfire. Bubba,
obviously not caring, says they should just "Build a bridge and get over it!"
Bubba later says in the interview "I get tired of living with these men!!". They
bicker for a few more minutes.
Meanwhile, Rory is shown picking up shells along
the beach, when he suddenly sees natives coming at him in a boat. The natives
arrive, and say to the men to gather around them. He starts speaking in another
language, which is said to be Bislama, or another Vanuatu "mother tongue". The
only words the men can decode are "one chief, one chief." They
quickly decide
Sarge
is their chief, and the natives hand him a ruling stick, ruling necklace, and
then leave. Rory is left muttering "What the hell is going on today??"
The natives arrive at Yasur, and as soon as they heard the words "one chief", they
immediately picked Scout. The natives give her the stick and necklace and leave
again. Leann said about the experience "We'll just have to wait and see."
As soon as she says this, the Island of Fire starts to shake in response to an
earthquake cause by a volcano, and the volcano eruption, although looking deadly
to be close to, hurts no one, and Sarge is heard muttering "That was my first
earthquake" before both tribes, a little excited by the eruption, leave to
tribal beach Part
I [5 minutes].
[This portion written by: NawlinsGal43]
Lopevi and Yasur are walking from their camps to the beach, as everyone arrives
on the beach Jeff asks the two teams if they felt the earthquake. Bubba (Travis)
tells Jeff "I have never felt an earthquake before and you could hear it before
you felt it, It was very exciting."
Lisa also joins in and states " It felt like the ground was
getting ready to split."
Jeff
asks the tribes if they are wondering why they had tribal visitors and why they
were asked to pick one chief for each tribe, before anyone can answer Jeff
states "Drop your buffs." We are now going to pick new teams and to be fair
Sarge and Scout will be play rock, paper, scissors to see who will either Choose
or Divide, Sarge wins and chooses to divide which leaves Scout to choose.
Jeff
explains that Scout will pick one guy for each team then one female for each
team until they get to the end and since we have an uneven number that will
leave one player at the and I';; tell you what we are going to do about that
later.
Scouts Picks 1st man Rory 2nd man Chad now Jeff tells Scout to pick the women
1st woman Eliza 2nd woman Julie by time she finishes the teams are (1) Rory,
Eliza, Bubba (Travis), Leann, Ami (2) Chad, Julie, Chris, Twila, JohnK now Sarge
gets to divide which means he may choose which team he will join and that will
leave Scout with the other team. Sarge (Lea) chooses team (2) which will be
Lopevi and Scout gets team (1) which will be Yasur.
Now
Lisa is the only one without a team, Jeff tells her she gets to choose which
team she wants to join, looking back and forth between the two teams Lisa
decides she wants to join Scout and Yasur, which will give them an extra member
over Lopevi.
Now
that we have new teams it is time to play for Reward. Each team will have to
stand on the platforms in the water as one person at a time swims out to a pole
that has markers tied onto it at different depths in the water, you need to
untie the marker and swim back to the platform before the next person may go.
The
reward that will be played for is going to be Unlimited Pringles and Beer. Jeff
lets each team split 1(one) Pringle between all the members of their tribe,
quite the tease I say. Since there is an extra player on Yasur Bubba (Travis) is
going to sit out.
The first one out and back with a marker is Scout and not to far behind her is
Chad. Leann next with an 8ft marker, then Julie has one, next Rory then Sarge we
have Lopevi and Yasur tied with 3 each, Chris goes for the 12ft marker as Eliza
comes up for Yasur pulling them into the lead 4 to 3 as Jeff announces 5 minutes
left Chris drops his marker into the water below, John goes out and gets one for
Lopevi and ties it back up 4 to 4, Ami goes next as John also heads back out
both come back in and tie it at 5 apiece, Julie brings one in and puts Lopevi
back up 6 to 5 then Rory comes in to tie it back up to 6 apiece as Jeff
announces 3 minutes left Chris comes in with number 7 for Lopevi with Ami right
behind him to tie it back up at 7 each, both Rory and John are trying to get
their markers Rory makes it 8-7 John ties it at 8 Jeff announces next marker
will take the lead Chris comes in with number 9 for Lopevi as Ami runs out of
time. Jeff announces Lopevi you win reward!!!!!
Jeff tells Yasur to head back to camp with their new tribe and to some members a
new home then he tells Lopevi to head to the waterfall for Beer and Pringles so
they can have some fun and get to know each other. Part
II [13 minutes]
[This portion written by: NawlinsGal43]
Day 11
Sarge (Lea) is having a good time and states "after eating what we have been
eating and plantains these Pringles taste like gold."
Everyone is laughing, talking and having a really good time, even Twila is
smiling and having fun Twila states " I can relate with these people, I fit in
here so much better, I mean come on this guy is a hwy worker we just click."
Everyone is by the waterfall and Julie states " I am buzzed,
not from the beer buzzed but buzzed in a good way from the change and evolution,
me and Twila are going to have to weasel ourselves in with these guys or they
will start picking us off."
John K states " Now that the groups have been broken up my odds in the game have
gone up and have gotten better, I am so psyched looking at the other team we
really have an advantage."
Day 12
Rory and Bubba are saying they are going to enjoy living with the ladies,
although they are making us feel welcome and this is the best cooking we have
had since we have been here we are definitely out the loop. Bubba (Travis)
states " I guess you could say I'm so nervous I'm sweating like a prostitute in
church."
Ami is happy that the guys seem to be doing things to please them and working
hard.
The girls go to get coconuts and Lisa says she wants to show the guys how to do
the coconuts, Ami asks her why?? Lisa says because it's cool and I just want to
show them. Ami doesn't want to show them anything but tells Lisa go ahead and
show them if you want but we don't want to share all our secrets.
Ami states " As far as I'm concerned I am still with the women and we are 5
women strong, but some of the women are going to have to prove themselves."
The men are definitely feeling like the odd guys out as they head for the
immunity challenge.
Immunity challenge will be building an outrigger and paddle out to your team
flag then back to the beach and all members of your team have to be on the mat
with your team flag at the same time. Scout will sit out since they have an
extra member.
The pieces are out in the jungle and each piece is further and deeper into the
jungle.
Two players will run out and get the Frame and bring it to the mat, then the
next Two players will run out and get the paddles and bring them out to the mat
the last team of Two will run the furthest into the jungle and bring out the
outrigger, when all pieces are on the mat the team will then assemble the canoe
and when it is finished two will paddle out to get the flag.
The teams run in Lopevi has the frame and Yasur is right behind them as they get
to the mat Chad and Julie and Leann and Eliza all head out for the paddles they
get back to the mat and the next groups head out for the final part the
outrigger Lopevi gets back in and starts the assembly as Yasur is falling
behind, Jeff is telling Rory he needs to try to make up some time that they are
still in it Rory is having a hard time with the knots, Lopevi has a big lead and
Yasur is losing lots of time, Rory starts dragging it in and is trying to make
up some ground some how. Lopevi has the canoe together and John and Chad start
paddling out after a nice push off from their team. Yasur gets it together and
in their panic to get going quickly end up with a terrible push off.
Lopevi starts going off course all over the place but manage to get to the flag
first. Lisa and Bubba are paddling like crazy and finally get their flag.
Lopevi is still having problems and going the wrong way, now
it's a race to the finish. Chad ends up using the bottom with is paddles to turn
the canoe, they rush into the shore and the entire team rushes to the mat.
Jeff announces Lopevi wins immunity
Lopevi is so excited and Rory is saying how the knots cost him so much time and
that was some of the worst paddling he has ever seen. Part
III [14 minutes]
[This portion written by: Cappy] Tribal
Council: The new Yasur consisting of Ami, Eliza, Leann, Lisa, Rory and Bubba
walk into the tribal council. If you look closely, Rory and Bubba have red
torches instead of yellow. I wonder when they had time to grab their torch.
The opening topic is obviously the switch. Lisa states that
its as if Rory and Bubba were there the whole time. Then the conversation turns
to Bubba talking to the other tribe. Ami is very very upset about this. Now the
conversation is why Rory over Bubba and vice-versa. Leann is the first to go.
After everybody votes, Jeff goes to tally the votes. I have
no idea why he does this. Is it to make sure they don't cheat or what? Now Jeff
reads the votes. You know the deal of the person being voted out has to leave
the tribal council immediately. The votes are read in this order: Bubba, Rory,
Bubba, Bubba, Bubba. The last two votes remain a mystery. Only Bubba voted for
Rory. Ami, Leann, Lisa, Rory, and Scout voted for Bubba. Bubba becomes the 6th
eliminated from Survivor: Vanuatu in a 6-1 vote.

"Now That's a Reward"
[This portion written by: cman] As the show starts,
Yasur is coming back from from another shocking tribal council, where Lisa
betrayed her young girls alliance by voting with the old girls and taking out
Mia. Eliza is the most shocked of them all, and starts yelling at Lisa for doing
that and not including her (same as last week, with Mia). Lisa tries to defend
herself, saying that she needed to save herself. "I didn't trust you." Lisa
shouts out again and again. Twila, breaking up the argument, states that the
tribe cant break down like this, and the women have to be strong in order to
beat the men. Eliza says in an interview "I am furious" and "If she was voted
out tomorrow, I would be happy!!". They both bicker for a few more seconds, and
everyone hits the sack
Daybreak comes to the Lopevi tribe, and the day starts with recounting Tribal
Council. We see Chad walking on the rocks, the Rory and Chris walking. Rory said
he was a little surprised he took in three of the votes, but states to Chris
he's not worried "Cause I've got the numbers." As he's talking about this, Brady
and John K. walk and talk about the same thing in the jungle. Brady and John are
both equally upset because they believe the best and youngest players are being
voted off, and not only do they not have a chance in heck, but that they won't
win any challenges. As they walk and talk some more, Brady decided to shake a
tree for some coconuts, and in turn got hit in the noggin. The shot goes to the
whole tribe later, and Brady decides to fish with the new equipment. Brady only
gets some little fish, and is sort of mocked by the whole tribe.
After a commercial, both sides get some tree mail. It's revealed its a puzzle,
and the message is much like a child's reveal book, with little opening flaps.
Both teams are sure of a win because "We have better memories" (Oh please these
are the people who spelled "Rorie" and "Mea"). Yasur sees a rainbow, seeing a
sure fire sign of a win that day, and the tribes take the long walk to
competition beach Part
I [14 minutes].
[This portion written by: Cappy] Reward Challenge: The tribes get tree mail. Both Lopevi and Yasur coming in tied 7 to 7. Jeff asks each tribe how their living conditions are. Scout says that they could use a better way to sleep. Lopevi is doing OK on fishing. The challenge is a memory test. Items are placed in what look like mini-teepees. The reward is the help of
Da a native tribesmen. He knows how to catch and cook food. He is also good at building shelters.
The challenge begins with Chad going first for Lopevi. He
doesn't get a match. Lisa gets nothing. Rory gets nothing. Scout gets nothing. Bubba is next and gets nothing. Ami gets the first pair. Its tribal drums. Brady is next and gets nothing. Eliza gets another pair for Yasur with grapefruit. Chris gets nothing.
Julie gets another pair for Yasur with shrimp traps. John K. is next and gets nothing. Leann earns yet another pair for Yasur as she drags in pig jaws. Sarge gets Lopevi on board with the wooden pig. Twila gets nothing. Chad gets another pair for Lopevi. He gets coconuts. Lisa is the last to go as she gets a
nautilus shell. Yasur wins reward.
Da arrives in a canoe
on the Yasur beach. He immediately starts working by getting coconuts. They travel into the jungle and
Da pulls out a root and shows Yasur what types of leaves they can eat. The ladies go crazy for the sugar cane.
Over at Lopevi, morale is very low. Bubba is very homesick.
He's worried the most about how is family is doing. Dah chopped bamboo in half and flatened it. It made all the bumps of the Yasur shelter go away. As a goodbye gift, Dah gives the tribe a very large crab. The ladies are very sad to see Dah go.
Part
II [10 minutes].
[This portion written by: mrspopcornsupriz] Yasur Tribe: Da is busy showing the girls the ways of the land. He showed them how to make there nights more comfortable by taking bamboo, slicing in half, and making it nice and flat. He wanted to show them how to catch crabs that night but there weren’t any there with high tides that night. Anything the girls asked about, he helped them with.
Day 9
Yasur Tribe: Da found some crab this morning. The girls felt very attached to
Da as he left. It was a tearful good-bye as Lisa started singing and the girls joined in as
Da paddled away in his canoe. You could see the girls were getting along better. Leann says it was a real moral booster and she is ready for the next challenge.
Day 10
Lopevi Tribe: Rory decided to try to fish with the Hawaiian sling. He had no idea how to use it. Rory says he has no aim or direction but he is going to try anyways. Brady told Rory to be careful and try not to break the point on the sling. Lea and Brady talked about Rory while he was trying to fish. Lea said Rory is looking for sea shells for his kids. Brady just wanted to try to shake things up. He’d like to strengthen the tribe.
Yasur: Tree Mail: They knew it was a challenge where they’d have to put there minds together. Eliza in feeling very vulnerable.
Challenge: Puzzle, 16 tiles, 4 different colors, 4 different Vanuatu symbols.
The contestants must place the tiles so no two same colors are in the same row and no
two same symbols are in the same row. Eliza is the eyes for Yasur, Rory for Lopevi. Challenge begins. Both teams flips tiles over. (Please note: very hard to do play by play as all team
members crowded into same space) Rory is shouting at the guys, there not working together. Lots of shouting, bickering. Eliza figures out the puzzles, tells the girls to set the tiles up so there is a diagonal of
colors and a diagonal of the symbols. Girls are working well as a team. Chris and John are shouting, total ciaos. Girls think they have it. Jeff pauses game, looks at it. Yasur wins
second challenge in a row. No tribal council tonight. Someone is going home on the Lopevi tribe tonight.
Part
III [8 minutes].
[This portion written by: Cappy] Tribal Council Lopevi enters the tribal council. They talked about the challenge and how nobody listened to Rory. The topic came to playing as individuals even though it
wasn't merge. Once all the tribesmen voted, Jeff goes to tally the votes. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area
immediately. I'll read the votes."
The votes are in this order. Brady, Brady, Rory, Brady. The fifth person voted out of Survivor: Vanuatu is Brady. The last two votes will remain a mystery. Brady brings Jeff his torch. "Brady, the tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs Bradys torch. They appear to be voting out the stronger guys because they are a threat in challenges. The only problem was that it was still early in the game. Those that voted for Brady were Sarge, Rory, Chad, Chris, Bubba and John K. Only Brady voted for Rory. It seems that John K.
swapped alliances and voted out Brady. Brady was voted out in a 6-1 decision. I really didn't care if he left because since episode 1, he was doomed.

IV [10 minutes]. |

Are We There Yet? |
In
the remote waters of the South Pacific near the tumultuous "Ring of Fire," 18
castaways will compete once again for the million-dollar prize. The two tribes
will be divided along gender lines, the boys versus the girls. Who will
outwit, outplay and outlast all others in Vanuatu, the Islands of Fire?
Vanuatu consists of about 70 islands, most of which are volcanic. Several have
active volcanoes. The climate is wet and tropical. The population of 154,000
(1992 estimate) is largely Melanesian; most are Christian. English, French, and
Bislama are the official languages; numerous Melanesian languages are spoken.
First
sighted by the Portuguese in 1606, the islands were named New Hebrides by
British navigator Captain James Cook in 1774. In 1887 the British and French
established joint administration of the islands, and in 1906 the islands became
their shared territory. During World War II (1939-1945), the United States
established a large military base on one of the islands. The islands became
independent as Vanuatu in 1980. |
