April 14, 2005  Episode #9: "I Will Not Give Up"
Part 1 [ Written by: Cman ] Night 21 Ulong:  Stephanie comes back to camp alone. She is scared, commenting on her loneliness, only in company of a few embers, a handful of sneaky rats and some cameramen. Probably the smallest number ever seen on one tribe, she has a justifiable reason to be lonely. She thinks its a little funny that she beat Bobby Jon in a fire challenge when he taught her to make fire in the first place. She is afraid to go to sleep for fear of losing her fire, but finally does. The next morning, she carves another tally in her tree and starts hacking up coconuts. "It's a huge shock being here alone, everything on my shoulders"

At the Koror Camp, we visit the not-so-wonderful world of Coby's mouth, where he is engaging in the activity of brushing his teeth. Everyone else, except Janu, is eating oranges. Ian comments that Janu does nothing and Coby is turning into a flamboyant figure of authority. Coby then takes a dip in the water, talking to himself and one of his gal pals (did not catch the name) that he doesn't give a crap about getting supplies anymore.

Back At Ulong, Stephanie goes fishing, fails, and then tries to get coconuts. There she engages in the soon-to-be Olympic event of throwing really big rocks and/or other coconuts at the coconuts in the tree. Apparently aiming isn't her strong suits. She then tries the long pole, and not succeeding in that, takes first place out of one in the tree climbing. Her prize was one coconut which still leaves her in wonder on her food situation.

Tree mail arrives the next morning at the Ulong camp, containing a container, to be opened only by the Koror tribe, a map to Koror, and a letter talking about going to Koror. [That's right folks, its a merge. And to the few of you that thought she was going to go badly chuck rocks and/or coconuts at the Koror Tribe, you are wrong!  Pay attention Man! *cough* moving on.]  Stephanie gets into one of her girly excited fits and sails off to Koror with her tool box and a few other items   imagePart I [8 minutes]

Part 2 [ Written by: Jem ] Koror Day 22   Steph tethers her boat up after paddling her way to the Koror camp. She has a mile walk to the shelter. Meanwhile the Koror tribe is having a relaxing lay around. Jenn is the first to notice Steph walking up the beach. She is greeted by all of Koror with a warm welcome and hugs all round. She says with sincere emotion "Hi! I have friends." She seems so happy to be there and have company again. Ian tells us, "All of a sudden Steph shows up from Ulong. Which was a sight for sore eyes. Having somebody new in town was like a guest. You know?" Steph explains to them how she was all alone last night and almost had a nervous breakdown. She hands them the not from her tree mail.

Ulong has been conquered
So enjoy the spoils of war
The blue buff gets retired
And one more joins Koror.

In honor of your victory
You deserve some help at least
Visitors will be arriving shortly
But you have to work to feast.

In a camera interview Steph tells us, "I was sooooo quick to give up that damn Ulong buff. It's not anything against Ulong, I'm so done with that. This is a new chapter in my life. I'm ready to start winning with Koror."

Katie gives Steph a tour of the Koror camp. To poor Steph, it seems like a palace. They have a toilet and shower, and the shelter has a roof and floor with places to sit. She is in heaven.

Jenn tells us that although it's great seeing Stephanie's joining the Koror tribe, she feels she is a threat and "she needs to go really fast."

Coby tells us later, "Katie shot up Stephanie's butt the second she got here. I can't wait to get her alone."

The visitors arrive. Two native men show up and introduce themselves to the tribe. Joe and Evan (apologize if I got that name wrong.) They are there to teach them how to fish. From catching bait to paddling out to catch the main course. First up, they show them where to catch the bait fish. Joe makes the line up by placing three hooks together. Once they have some bait the Palau natives say they will take two people out and show them how to fish. Coby says that he will stay back with Ian and catch bait. Tom isn't having that and tells Coby that Ian is going fishing and that maybe some of the girls can learn how to catch bait. It ends up with Coby going off in a huff because he feels left out again. Tom, Gregg and Ian go off with Joe and Evan on the fishing excursion.

Ian tells us, "Coby got kinda huffy about the whole fish thing. You know, complained that he was left out of the group again. He was just being a pain in the ass."

Tom is trying to explain to the girls how to catch bait and Coby in a snotty manner tells him to "go fish, I can explain that." In his interview Coby lets rip. "Tom SHUT UP! I'm the bait man and you're the fish man. Get outta here and leave me alone! I can do it myself, So I walked off, stomped off, and tried to do bait. I just don't want to see him again for the rest of the day. I hope he stays out there fishing for the rest of the night. Cause I don't want to see his face again!"

Ian, Gregg, Tom and the visitors head out. As they do Coby says "Good luck guys." Under his breath he calls Tom as ass or something. (Teehee) Once off shore they try their hand at catching fish. As the sun is setting, they get back to camp with 13 fish and a lobster. (YUM). It isn't the only thing that their visitors brought with them. They hand around a bottle of something that taste like rum. So as dinner is cooking they are all drinking and passing the alcohol around. Later in the night over dinner, Tom is trying to have a conversation but all his words are slurred. The evening was a great success and Tom is praising people. (Think he even told someone he loved them) Best part of the night. Tom staggering and falling around the camp (I recommend watching this clip if Morty has it. Gave me a giggle). Steph had to actually put him to bed. Poor Tom, wonder if he will have a hangover.  imagePart II [11 minutes]

Part 3 [ Written by:  Trewa ] Day24: Tom talks about the previous night's party and how his memory of it has a few gaps of it. He's is the first one up and is ready to go, and is trying to catch some bait, Ian joins him in the chore.

They all say good-bye to the Palauins and thank them for their help.

Coby talks about Tom's fake laugh, and how sick he is of everyone acting so sweet and honest, like no one is playing the game. He says "Stephanie is going to add a whole new layer to the game even though no one thought she would" and that he is going "to work Stephanie into the game as hard as I can because I wants her in. She is a true survivor, she lasted the longest in her tribe and she deserves to be in the top." He calls her over to have a talk.

He tells her he has waited two days to get her alone so he could fill her in on some stuff. It cuts to a scene of Jennifer and Katie telling Gregg how Coby just pulls Stephanie away for a talk when they were about to go wash their faces. They talk about how obvious he is. Coby knows they are all going to be mad at him for doing this but doesn't seem to care, in fact he makes a few faces at them while he and Steph are talking. He tells her Ian, Tom, Katie, Jennifer and Gregg are the main alliance and that Caryn, Janu and him are on the outskirts because Willard was in their group but then he was off. He then says, here is the secret part, Jennifer and Gregg really want to turn on Tom and Ian.

Meanwhile, Katie is telling Gregg and Jennifer that she is dying to know what he is telling her. They figure she will definitely tell them when she gets back. Steph is now talking about how Janu will not just give up right now and how she figures that she will be voted off next.

Coby tells her he doesn't know if it is her or Janu and that Jennifer is her main foe right now because she is so jealous of Steph because in all the challenges they were pitted against each other and Steph always kicked Jennifer's ass. He also tells her that the team mentality was to pick off whoever came over, but since she is so well liked he's not sure which way it will go. I could either help or hurt her since Tom and Ian and them like her and Jennifer and them are threatened by her.

The second they get back to camp Katie and Jennifer grab Stephanie and take her to talk. She tells them that Coby told her it was either her or Janu to go next and that "Coby wants to keep me in as long as possible because I deserve to stay in the game but that you guys are all jealous of me." Katie and Jennifer fake laugh at this last comment and assure her it is not true and that they don't want her to go.

Katie: talks about how they are going to try and stick with Steph as much as possible, but that Jenn does feel she is a very big threat, which Coby told Steph, Jenn wants to take her out, which isn't good.

Tom talks to Steph and tells her she isn't a "dead man walking" and assures her that they have still been thinking about her and the old alliance they made and that she does have friends on this tribe.
Stephanie is felling a little paranoid about who to believe and who to trust. She says she needs to figure a few things out.

Immunity challenge: They hand back the Tribal Immunity idol and Jeff tells them that it is no more. All IC are now individual. He says it might be a shock to some who haven't really competed before. He tells them this challenge will be all will power. They will be standing on a perch in the water, if the jump off or sit down on the perch they will be out. The last person left will get immunity.

Immediately after the challenge they will go to Tribal Council and vote someone out. He tells them that the game changes now because the people they are voting off will be on the jury and will eventually have to vote for you to win. Jeff says, "This could go awhile."

After they all get settled up on there perches Jeff addresses Tom and says, "You had to look at Steph's arrival, it's a free vote, Koror can stay intact and you can vote off the new person." Tom answers, "True, you could look at it that way. I guess we Will see tonight." Coby jumps into the conversation and talks about how it's a game and how alliances are already built and how they will all pick each other off.

One Hour:  Jeff brings out donuts Coby jumps in for donuts and so does Janu. They get two each. Jeff asks what it means when two people willingly jump in and give up their chance at immunity. Katie says, " Either they want to go home or they don't think they are in danger of going home."

One Hour & 30 Minutes:  They are starting to look tired and start talking about what they would jump in for.

Two Hours & 23 Minutes:  Jeff comes out with 15 chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk and says they have 15 seconds to decide. Jennifer, Katie, Ian and Gregg jump in. Steph, Tom and Caryn are left.

Three Hours:  Jeff brings out a covered dish and says you will have 5 seconds and 5 seconds only to decide whether or not it is worth it, if you don't these guys will get it. He uncovers it and Steph and Caryn jump in. Tom wins immunity! imagePart III [11 minutes]

Part 4 [ Written by:  Cappy ] Night 24, Tribal Council- The final nine of Survivor: Palau enter for their first tribal council as a merged tribe.

Jeff: "Welcome to tribal council, Steph, we've done this a lot, Koror, we've done this just once. So at today's first individual immunity challenge, 8 out of 9 of you jumped off the perch, giving up individual immunity for doughnuts, chocolate cookies or pizza. For 1 of you, that was a $1,000,000 meal. Steph, I'm sure you were relieved to not be alone, on the flipside, you are walking into a tribe that is very tight and your a free vote.
Steph: "I am and I was thrilled to be with Koror. They welcomed me totally with open arms, but I know its a game and I'm adding another person to their tribe and Id be stupid to think they wouldn't vote for me, they could just get me out and keep the tribe together."

Jeff: "Jenn, you two have squared off in almost every physical challenge we've had. Had to be a little bit of competitive animosity seeing your rival come into your camp."
Jenn: "You know from the very first moment I met her, I knew I liked her. I'm not gonna lie, there's a little bit of that competitiveness, but she just seems so good at everything so she stands out a lot. That does make her a target."

Jeff: "Coby."
Coby: "Steph shows up, Steph's popular, everybody likes her. This is a game about popularity and its a game that changes every day. Steph's a target but there's other targets to be had to.

Jeff: "Janu, 24 days in, you built a pretty good world (IMO they won a pretty good world), you know how to fish, everything's going good. Who's not pulling their weight?"
Janu: "Honestly, Jeff, for the last 2 or 3 days, I have not pulled my weight except for making coconuts. I have just laid around like a dead fish."
Jeff: "So it wouldn't shock you if it was you tonight?"
Janu: "Honest assessment, I think its me going home tonight, but it doesn't worry me."

Jeff: "Steph, on a scale of 1-10, how worried are you that it might be you tonight."
Steph: "8 or 9"
Jeff: "So if your that concerned, you got off the perch only 3 hours in for a few slices of pizza."
Steph: "Well I knew Tom wasn't giving up and I'm not good with temptation. It was a huge chance. Even though its a good chance that I'm going, I still have a positive outlook and continue on in this game."
Jeff: "If it is your time to go tonight, what will you think about that pizza."
Steph: "Ill be so mad at myself. Ill be so mad at myself. It'll probably be on of the greatest regrets of my life."

Voting- Jeff: "Alright, lets get to the vote. Tom you have the immunity necklace, as always you can assign it to someone else."
Tom: "Its mine tonight"
Jeff: "Ok its time to vote, Tom your up.

We see Ian voting for Coby saying, "Its like the mafia. Its just business."
We also see Janu voting for Steph but not saying anything.

Jeff: "Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes."

First vote, Steph. Janu. Coby. One vote Steph, one vote Janu, one vote Coby. Coby. Two votes Coby, one vote Janu, one vote Steph. Coby. Coby. Four votes Coby, one vote Janu, one vote Steph. 10th person voted out of Survivor: Palau is Coby. Coby gets his torch snuffed and leaves.

Jeff: "Well I know tonight was an unusual experience for a lot of you having to vote someone off. Get used to it. You'll come to tribal from here on out. You are no longer a big happy tribe, you are a group of individuals fighting for $1,000,000. Head back to camp, good night."

Coby's Final Words- "God what a group of wonderful smart people who did give me a chance to be a part of team, fish me out. Your very smart to get rid of me. What a total compliment. You didnt get rid of me because I was lazy, you didn't get rid of me because Im good at challenges. Every single one of you said you got rid of me because I was a threat."

Coby is the first of 7 jurors who will decide who will win $1,000,000 at the season finale.

April 7, 2005  Episode #8: "Neanderthal Man"
Part 1 [ By: Tabitha ] [While we get the rundown of the rerun (remember, we HAVE seen these challenges before), I can’t help but again laugh at Caryn’s reaction to winning rations at the RC from the SOS challenge. Gee, tears of joy, Caryn, you haven’t eaten in days! But I digress…]

Ulong –Both of them – Night 18
Bobby Jon is restarting the fire which had gone out while they were gone to tribal council. Steph thanks Bobby Jon for keeping his word. She admits to him she was a little nervous. He tells her what’s done is done and there was no good way to do it. In confessional, Steph tells us she really thought she was going to be the one to go. She says she had doubts whether or not Bobby Jon would keep his word about offing Ibe, but is glad he did. Bobby Jon tells her, “You gotta learn that once I say something it’s over and it’s done. Trust it.” Bobby Jon tells us, “Ibrehem and I had a friendship, we had a bond. But in a competition, you have to rule out feelings and I just thought Stephanie performed better than Ibrehem in challenges. So, I had to do what’s best for the tribe.” [There’s the Bobby Jon I kinda know and love!] Steph says she is happy they’re both still here and thinks they can still bring home a victory. Bobby Jon agrees. She tells us it’s tough but doesn’t feel her time is up yet, and feels she and Bobby Jon are the best two people for the job right now. [I admire Steph’s positive attitude. This chick is right on in my book!] It’s just so astounding how they still have the tribe’s best interest at heart.
Koror – Day 19
The sun rises on a beautiful day and we see what resembles a panel straight out of Super Mario World, of green clumps of trees, mountains and clear blue, ocean. The rats are busy collecting the day’s supply of tidbits left by Kororians and we see Katie on the porch of the shelter yelling at the vermin to “Go! Get out of here!” Wouldn’t you know it? The rats don’t speak English and while slightly startled, continue to come around.

Tom and Gregg discuss to some degree the reasons why these unwanted visitors have made themselves so comfortable at camp. Tom feels it’s mostly that the rats do not fear people. He also speculates that maybe they are cutting their coconuts too close to camp and being sloppy with their food. Cut to Coby’s snarling face. He watches with disgust as rats crawl over the shark head and body parts hanging in a tree. He begins ranting, “The rats have become bolder and bolder and it’s all our tribe’s fault because nobody will listen to me. Of course there are rats. There’s coconut everywhere.”

Janu is eating coconut, flinging pieces off her fingers. “They’re eating our coconut, because no one will clean it up. Every bit of rat that we get all over us, is deserved.” He tells Caryn, “I’m gonna move that shark head. I’m not smelling it anymore. I’ve told people for days.” Cut to shark head, covered in flies and ants. [Were they saving this for supper, later?] Coby continues to rant to us about how he told Tom that it stinks, there’s flies all over it, and it’s not 20 ft. from camp. So he got up this morning and moved it. He says nobody was doing anything, as usual. He’s the one who has to get the fire going, get the firewood, boil water, hunt food…”The girls don’t do anything. Especially Jenn, Katie and Janu. Katie and Jenn don’t do anything all day long. I haven’t seen them touch a piece of wood since they’ve been here. Janu is on her 8th day of ‘Boo hoo, I wanna go home.’ Would you quit already? Get out of the game!” He says he’s too much of a feminist to watch this happen. He expresses disgust about the “alpha males” waiting on the girls hand and foot. He wants to take the 3 girls and chuck them into the fire. [Did anybody time that?]

This is a twenty day old duck fetus removed from it's egg shell.

Off we go to Reward Challenge!
Koror files in. Ulong, the tribe of two, steps up and Koror gets a look at Ulong without Ibe. Jeff says to Ulong, “You’re only two, but you’re still a tribe.”

Jeff explains, “Today’s challenge will require an adventurous spirit, a willingness to try something new and an overall open attitude for life. It’s a food challenge. The food you’ll be eating is a delicacy, and also very nutritious. It’s from this part of the world and it’s called 'Balut.' Balut is a fertilized egg. It contains partially formed duckling. These ducks are about 20 days old. You can see the beak.”

The reactions of the castaways are probably the same as yours by now. Jeff goes on, “Here’s how it’ll work. We’ll go in rounds. Each round we will increase the number of Balut you eat. The first round you will eat one Balut, then two, then three, then finally four Balut. There will be four rounds. Each Balut you eat will earn your tribe one point. After four rounds, whoever gets the most points wins Reward.” The winning tribe wins as the first part of the reward, a 55 gallon tank of fresh water in a tank with a shower head delivered to your camp. Jeff tells them, “And because, trust me, you guys reek!” and unveils a basket of sundries! It contains a loofah sponges, washcloths, shampoo/conditioner, mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap… All things needed to make the tribe squeaky clean and now Gregg and Jenn can tongue wrestle and really get into it. (More fuel for Tom and Ian’s fire!)

We begin the duck fest. Koror, now sitting 6 members out, plays Tom and Ian. Tom and Steph go head to head. Jeff explains, “It’s not a race, you just get it down. You’re finished when you show me an empty mouth, and I say you’re good. If it comes back up, you’re fine. Survivors ready? Eat.” Tom and Steph start to chow.

I expected worse reactions from them, but was disappointed. Katie seemed to have problems watching as did Coby. Tom is clean and good as is Steph. Both tribes, 1 point. Bobby Jon and Ian are up. Tom warns Ian to watch the beak. (lol) Ian makes comment on how his was juicy. Bobby Jon stays focused and just chews trying not to think. (A stretch?) Jeff asks Ian what was going through his head. Ian says, “There was some eggshell.” Jeff responds, “Are you sure that was eggshell.” Steph says it tastes like… eggs.

The comments keep coming and surprisingly, nobody pukes. The four tie it up by chewing down the Balut for all four rounds. Sudden death is called for and one tribe member is chosen to eat five Balut in the shortest period of time. Bobby Jon is chosen for Ulong, Tom for Koror. Bobby Jon just shoves all five Balut in his mouth. Tom goes after the Balut zealously, but uses the “I’ll chew as I go” strategy wherein Bobby Jon went with the “I’ll get them all in and then chew” strategy. Tom’s strategy was slow but sure as Bobby Jon struggled to not regurgitate. He gave it his best effort, but in the end Tom prevailed and was able to get his down in the nick of time. Bobby Jon was holding his mouth closed, jumping helplessly to employ the use of gravity, gagging and only had a mouthful left when defeated. It was a close race. Bobby Jon’s eyes were shooting daggers, it looked as if to Tom. It could have been to the whole Koror tribe. Editing you know. Defeated once again, Ulong headed back to camp. Not soon enough for Bobby Jon. It appeared that Coby noticed this act of contempt.  imagePart I [11 minutes]

Part 2 [By: XandraSkye ] And now a word from our sponsor...  Koror coming back from the reward challenge carrying their goodies. First thing everyone does is take a swig of the Scope. Ian likes the citrus splash and he thinks it tastes "a little like oranges." Janu says, "it just felt so good because it was just tingling...it was wonderful."

Now all the focus is on the 55 gallon drum of fresh water they won. Jen is excited at the thought of a shower and is "looking forward to feeling human for one day." But Tom has other plans. He wants to take the shower head off of the drum and start filling canteens right away. He thought it would be "ridiculous to be used for showers" and he had to assert himself, something he says he was trying not to do. [I don't know who he is trying to fool, but that's what he's been doing since day one. The man is Superman, Spiderman and Aquaman all rolled into one!]  It's sort of obvious that several people don't necessarily agree with him but no one is not willing to speak up in fear of being noticed or labeled a trouble maker. So when Tom asks if everyone is good with that decision they all fold under the pressure and agree.

Ulong Tribe Stephanie and Bobby Jon discuss how close they were, once again, to winning the reward challenge. It's heartbreaking for Bobby Jon and he mentions how he always seems to compete against Tom and he's tired of losing to him. He says it's "getting real, real old."  [And I think it's safe to say that most of us agree with him.] Stephanie thinks that Bobby Jon has been too positive about their losses but she can tell that he's starting to get frustrated and she's happy to finally see him get mad about it.

Back at Koror:  Tom asks Ian for the "state of the union" report. Ian mentions that he is worried about the relationship between Gregg and Jen. Even though they are part of their alliance they could switch over and their two votes are a threat. Ian knows that there is a good chance they will have to take one of them out eventually. He giddily tells us, "We are on the verge of utter ridiculousness, for sure. I can't wait."

Tom then drops a bombshell on us, or at least it was for me, that him, Ian and Katie, on day two, came together and said they wanted to see how far they could go. They want to make up the final four...with the fourth being Stephanie. Turns out Stephanie was in on that alliance too. Tom sees Stephanie as the "wolf in the sheep's clothing that they wouldn't even see coming."

Back at Ulong, Stephanie is telling us that it's tough with it just being her and Bobby Jon. They don't have much in common and Bobby Jon is turning into a caveman. He's always "gross and dirty and will eat anything" (camera shot of BJ's very dirty fingers) and he will blow "snot rockets" (camera shot of BJ blowing snot rockets...ewwww) in the middle of where they sleep. Stephanie says she can't help but think of Koror and how they are "living the life over there" (okay, if you say so) and they are "having the time of their life" (okay, if you say so?) while they are busting their butts just to keep the fire going.

We finally see the strong and non-wavering Stephanie break down. She says, "If I make it through this, I can make it thru anything." After seeing her shred a few tears she says she "won't give up hope" but she feels like they are "at a dead end."
imagePart II [10 minutes]

Part 3 [By: mrspopcornsupriz ] Ulong  Stephanie says they are feeling tired and hungry but we don’t give up. Bobby Jon caught a fish. He felt like he accomplished something. They ate well today. They called it the Breakfast of Champions. There spirits are up.

Tree Mail  Puzzle. Sink or Swim, Think and Swim. Today they mean the same but the tribe that can’t do either, one more will leave the game.

Immunity Challenge  Swim out to a series of pontoons. Underneath you will find a rope, which leads to four bags of puzzle pieces spaced out. First person out unclips the bag, goes up on the pontoon, goes across the balance beam, then swims back, next person goes out, switching back and forth till all four bags are back. Once you have all four bags, start putting the puzzle pieces together. Circle the words on the puzzle. Anytime 2 words intersect, take the intersecting letter and put it on the letter cue. Once you have all the letters for a 3-word phrase. This phrase holds the key to immunity.

Koror picks Coby and Gregg to play.
Ulong has Stephanie and Bobby Jon.

Stephanie and Gregg are the first in the water. Stephanie is the first to the pontoon, Gregg is behind her. Greg and Stephanie are both up, working balance beam. Greg with a bit of a lead. Coby is heading out first. Bobby Jon next. Coby trying to find the puzzle pieces. Coby and Bobby Jon both up with the puzzle pieces. Bobby Jon back. Stephanie out. Coby back, Gregg back out. Stephanie has 3rd bag. Gregg has 3rd bag.

Stephanie is having no problem with the balance beam. Bobby Jon is out looking for the last bag. Coby is out. Coby is catching up. Bobby Jon is struggling to get the last bag. Both are up. They are dead even. Bobby Jon is back. Now Coby is back. They are both working on the puzzle board. Koror is making progress. Koror has the puzzle together and is now solving the word scramble. Ulong has the puzzle together. Stephanie is looking over at Koror answers. Coby covers them. Koror thinks they have it. Victory To Sea. Koror wins again! Immunity going back to camp once again. Ulong has to head back to camp. There will be an individual immunity challenge. Loser goes home.    imagePart III [8 minutes]

Part  4 [By: NawlinsGal ] Well folks, part four started out with me feeling like I was on Survivor, the winds were blowing and howling, the rain was coming down in sheets and the power was a flickering, then there was darkness.  Five minutes later or so, when my power was restored Stephanie and Bobby John are at the camp talking about coming back to the camp tonight and being alone. Bobby John isn't worried about being a one man team and Stephanie is just a bit apprehensive about having to do some of the heavier work that the men have always done, but she knows she can do for herself if she has to.

Stephanie and Bobby John meet Jeff for the first individual immunity challenge. Jeff asks Bobby John and Stephanie what is the most important thing to have for life to be sustained in the camps, both say fire.

Jeff explains that tonight's immunity challenge is all about fire being a main priority. Each of them will receive 25 matches, coconut husks and kindling to try to start and maintain their fires to light the torch. Jeff asks how they feel about their fire making skills Bobby John of course voices that he feels good about his skills and Stephanie states that she isn't very good at making fires.

Bobby John starts with the coconut husks first, Stephanie follows suit. Bobbie John has fire first, but Stephanie is right behind him. Stephanie starts blowing on her flames and the flames get larger and larger, Bobby John is trying to keep up and then all of a sudden just like that Stephanie has her torch lit and wins immunity, which means Bobby John is out of the game. Jeff states that "the tribe definitely has not spoken, but none the less it's time to go, and with that Bobby Johns torch is snuffed and he is on his way. Stephanie is just so excited she states "oh my God, this is just crazy" Stephanie said that at the camp the fire is burning real good and there is plenty of firewood, she says she made her bed earlier and it's there waiting for her. She is off to spend the night all alone at camp Ulong, just Stephanie, fire, bugs and her deep, dark fears (hopefully she will have a restful nights sleep)  imagePart IV [11 minutes]

March 31, 2005  Episode #7: "The Great White Shark Hunter"
Takes three people to open the giant clam.
Tom catches a shark for dinner.

Part 1 [By: nawlinsgal] Ulong Day 16  Stephanie is still ashamed of her tribe for losing every time, she is shocked and embarrassed. She doesn’t regret voting James out & trusts Bobby Jon more than Ibrehem.

Stephanie goes on to say that the odds are not in there favor since they have 3 and Koror has 8, but that it can be turned around and everything happens for a reason.

Ibrehem talks about spending so much time together since it's a small group, and says that emotions start to get involved. Ibrehem goes on to say that it will be difficult if they have to go to tribal council again.
Bobby John is happy with his plan working out so far, he is happy with his decisions. Both Ibrehem and Stephanie feel they can trust Bobby John.

Over at Koror Tom is on the beach doing crunches. When Ian brings to the beach a huge clam, Katie is impressed she says it's the biggest clam she has ever seen. They pulled it open & were able to get like 6 or 7 pounds of meat out of it, there was so much meat everyone was full, no empty bellies tonight. They took the shell out to the edge of the beach in the water, it had some blood still in the shell. Later they see a shark near the beach. Gregg & Ian get spears to try to kill it & when Ian was going over the boat he cut open his foot. So Tom stepped in and all of a sudden he had a shark practically cut in half with a machete. The guys are impressed, they are saying that Tom is a madman, and they can't believe a city boy N.Y. fireman did that. Tom tells them he whacked it, jumped on it and rolled around then pulled the shark out of the water. [Is Tom not a mans man, how much sexier can this guy get, he is the total package.]

Ian is joking around saying that Tom has one upped him again and now he's going to have to bring a hump-back whale in. Ian goes on to say it's getting to be harder and harder for Gregg and him to vote Tom off.

Tom speaks on camera saying that they know I'm a strong player and not just that old guy, then with a big grin he says and there's no going back. imagePart I [5 minutes]

Part  2
[By: Jem ] Koror  Day 17
We come back from break with Jenn and Gregg getting tree mail. There is a wine bottle in the locker with a note. Jenn reads:

Tree Mail:
You’re lost in the wild, there is no one around.
You find yourself thinking, you’ll never be found.
Use all you resources, when push comes to shove.
Build a signal on your beach, to be seen from above.
Then a plane will fly by, and within the hour.
If you signal is the best, he will drop supplies to devour.
So put you brains together, you can use only three.
Creativity will rein victorious, which tribe will it be?

Ulong, all three, decide to pull apart the bathroom, so wonderfully constructed by them from a previous competition. They make a sign with wood using fire that reads Ulong. Steph mentions that the other tribe have three members building and the rest getting food and water. After they are done they then have to go and collect their own. “It’s a lot of work!” she tells us.

We switch to Koror, they have chosen Gregg, Katie and Caryn to build their signal. Katie is creative, Caryn is hard working and Gregg is the brawn. They construct a signal that reads. GOT FOOD? With a big arrow and two fires on either side. Caryn is complaining about the heat and having to work, “It's like 80 or 90 degrees here. This is a hard challenge.”

Meanwhile back at Koror camp, Tom is watching on like a caged lion. He cant stand not being in the middle of it all. Having to sit back and let someone else handle a challenge is something he isn’t used to doing.

We hear a plane and the next shot is of Jeff and Bob (Judge - Cert. Drop Master). Jeff explains to Bob what he will be judging. Ulong is first and they fly over. Bob's comment on Ulong, “Well, if you’re not flying right over the top of it, its very hard to see. It was too far up into the trees. But, it was big, visible and not bad for three people.”

We go to Koror on the beach, they can hear the plane and Gregg is trying to get the two fires lit. They keep going out. Tom isn’t impressed, neither is Coby, as neither one can see any smoke. Coby makes some smart remark that I didn’t catch but his facial expression say a thousand words.

Back in the plane, Bob tells Jeff, “Koror was bigger, but the big thing was its set down off the beach.” Jeff asks if Bob has enough information to judge. Bob says, “Yes I do.”

We go back to the beach at Koror, The plane looks like its heading their way, anticipation!.... The package is dropped. Koror wins Reward! Inside the locker, three bottles of wine and military rations. MHO, they don’t need anymore food. They have the Great White Shark Hunter!! They also have, some fishing line. They make their way to the camp table. Tom pops one of the bottles of wine and they toast. “To a great tribe!”  imagePart II [10 minutes]
Part 3 [By:  Tabitha ] Day 17 - Gregg and Jenn are snuggled up together while Ian, Caryn and Coby look on. Coby says to us, Gregg and Jenn joke about Gregg being the make-out bandit and they kiss. [looking more and more like Hatch to me...] He guesses they're dating, but doesn't care as long as they're on his side!

A big production is made when Gregg and Jenn go get water because Gregg feels paranoid about talking to Jenn about strategy. He tells us, "What if the others think we're talking about strategy? they're going to be suspicious, they're not going to trust us!" [LOL at Gregg! It's OK to date Jennifer but not to talk strategy? Oh, no. No trust? Ya kiddin' me?] Jenn and Gregg have a discussion at the waterhole so full of... tension. He asks Jennifer, "Do you think our relationship is impacting the game, or people's thoughts on it? We're just like a pair." Jennifer replies, "I think it's kind of a non-issue and I think you're still a little stand-off-ish." [I thought, THAT kinda came out of nowhere! LOL] There was silence. Gregg stammered with, "Think so?" Jennifer said, "Sometimes." Gregg presses her for an example. She refuses. He tells us that it's hard to keep their relationship separate since it is a game. It seems he may have stated the same thing to her as she says, "I understand.", and then she tells us that Gregg is too focused on this game. She didn't know if they were just going to be an alliance or if they would stay being romantic. [Did they step out of Elimidate line, or what?]

Tom expresses his concern about Gregg and Jenn. He doesn't want to bring in a "whole volatile emotion" or have a monkey-wrench come into the game. [I love ya, Tom, but it's a little late for that.]

Day 18 - Bobby Jon "catches", as Ibe says, at huge clam. Bobby Jon felt so good about it. He also caught a small fish and Ulong were able to eat and get some protein. They were in high spirits. It was nice to see.

Tree Mail:
The way to lose this one is to be just plain lazy
Don't think you need to practice, then your just crazy
To keep your tribe together, slide the pieces into place
Fail to heed this warning, you could be out of the race

The parchment is accompanied by a sliding-tile puzzle with a sea star symbol on it. Ulong keeps a positive attitude, (props to that!) sits down and practices straightaway!

Immunity Challenge -
The scene is an overhead view of lifesize (about 3' x 3' squares) images mirroring the puzzle pieces given to the two tribes in the tree mail, except they are floating in the ocean. The tribes arrive and Koror gets a look at Ulong, minus James. Comments are made from Koror: Ian says, "James!" Others: "You ain't lyin'!" "Come Oin!" Katie giggles. Jeff questions Ulong about the fishing. Bobby Jon talks about his catch of the day and admits his fear of sharks. When the question is toggled to Koror, the laughter and fish-tales broke out quite thunderously.

"Tom the Beastmaster machete'd the shark in half!!" Ulong was shocked to hear. Of course, Jeff rubbed it in to Ulong in his subtle way. Finally the IC begins. Jeff announces that one person will be the caller and two people will move the puzzle pieces floating within the frame, around to complete the puzzle and win Immunity. Bobby Jon is the caller for Ulong and Coby the caller for Koror, while Janu and Jen move the pieces around. Coby calmly starts directing. Bobby Jon is confused. Steph tries to help, but Jeff not sure of the progress. Coby doing well with his direction, while Bobby Jon keeps getting confused. Janu seems to be having a hard time moving the pieces. Jeff makes a comment on how she seems to have a hard time holding her breath. Jeff tells Bobby Jon he doesn't think he's made any progress at all. Steph takes over for Bobby Jon. Steph starts to make some headway. Coby has a good handle on directing the layout of the puzzle. Janu really looks rough! It's getting pretty close, but Ulong has a piece that has to come around pretty far. Coby is very close for Koror. Ulong's is getting out of hand, somewhat! Koror is one move away from their 6th straight Immunity! Once again, Koror wins Immunity for the 6th straight time. Ulong, started making progress at the end, but it just wasn't to be.  imagePart III [11 minutes]

Part 4 [By: Cappy ] Night 18 Tribal Council- Ulong walks into tribal council for the seventh consecutive time. Jeff: "I want to apologize for my voice. Know its hard to hear. Bobby Jon, who decided that you should be the caller?"

Bobby Jon: "We all did and obviously it wasn't a good idea because I made more of a mess that I did create something that was supposed to happen."

Jeff: "You agree with that Steph? Did Bobby Jon screw it up?

Steph: "We just assumed ir agreed that he would be best to get it and he didn't so we switched and I wasn't able to get it either."

Jeff: "How frustrating was it for you today Steph?"

Steph: "Its so frustrating, losing this many times... its so frustrating." Jeff: "How much do you scratch your heads at this. Its not like your taking on the same people. You've taken on different combinations of Koror and every single time they whipped you. When you go back to camp and your scratching your heads, what's running through them?"

Bobby Jon: "Its not like after challenges, we jump around giving each other high fives on losing. This isn't fun to come here. I've been looking at myself all day thinking I'm the hex. I might be a curse. You don't know with this tribe." Jeff: "So what do you do tonight. You have to be tight to some degree. Your all each other has. Are you surprised at how quickly you can become so close?"

Bobby Jon: "I don't go drink unless she goes to the well. I don't get coconuts unless he goes to the tree and gets them. You depend on each other. At camp, its like we know what each others thinking. Our camp life in phenomenal. Its just we haven't rose to the occasion."

Jeff: "So when it comes down to writing down names, Bobby Jon, what are you gonna base it on?"

Bobby Jon: "I don't know until I write it on that piece of paper."

Jeff: "So if its Steph, why? Why would you vote out Steph tonight?"

Bobby Jon: "For a threat. I think she could go all the way."

Jeff: "Ibrehem, if you knew it was you tonight, anything you wanna say to convince these guys otherwise?"

Ibrehem: "I'm really loyal. If I say something, I'm gonna go it. I'm not a dishonest person."

Jeff: "So which is it Steph are you voting? Are you voting based on friendships and loyalty or are you voting on I'm gonna stay in this game and vote out the toughest guy?"

Steph: "I'm gonna vote on what would help me out as a strategy."

Jeff: "Truth be told, are you worried or are you feeling ok?"

Steph: "90% worried. It's just three of us. Two guys who get along real well and I get along with both of them, I respect both of them. We all work really hard but I feel very sad. I'm not ready to go.

Jeff: "Bobby Jon, worried or are you in the drivers seat?"

Bobby Jon: "Its like me putting that puzzle together. Its tough. I think I'm just as vulnerable too. Why should I stay over them? Anything can happen."

Voting- "Its time to vote. Steph your up. Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes. First vote, Ibrehem. Steph. One vote Ibrehem, one vote Steph. 8th person voted out of Survivor: Palau, Ibrehem. Well the good news is in spite the fact that this tribe has been decimated, you two still believe in yourselves as a tribe. Don't lose that spirit. Head back to camp. Bobby Jon and Steph vote for Ibrehem and Ibrehem voted for Steph."

Ibrehem's Final Words- "What can I say, I totally didn't expect to be voted off tonight. It was a big surprise. I thought me and Bobby Jon had something. I guess I was wrong. I played the game the best way I felt I know how without compromising my character.

March 23, 2005  Episode #6: "Jellyfish 'N Chips"
Part 1 [By: XandraSkye] Ulong Night 12: Coming back from Tribal Council Ibrehem says, "that may of been the craziest tribal council" (Ain't that the truth!) and then summarizes what happened. We then see Stephanie and James giving advice about how at the next challenge everyone needs to have "great listening skills." And then James keeps lecturing Ibrehem about how his mistake cost them the loss.  Stephanie then states the obvious by saying that Ulong can't afford to lose anyone else. [Really? Glad you enlightened your tribe on that fact. Don't think they could of figured THAT out on their own.]

Koror Day 13: Ian tells us that the stew they ate the night before gave them all the rush of energy they needed. They woke up feeling renewed and refreshed. The stew most of really gone straight to his brain because he said, "It's just another day in Paradise" and it sounds like he really means it.

Coby sarcastically informs us that they are having "craft day" at Koror. Or, at least, Katie is. She's making necklaces while everyone else is working. Caryn lets us know that she's not sure what Katie's role is at Koror. [I don't see anything wrong with being the Tribe Arts & Crafts Coordinator. I mean, they have eight people still, someone has to do the fun stuff.]

Katie and Janu come back with a clue from tree mail. It says, "Ready, aim, fire. You'll each get a shot. Make sure it's a good one, you'll be bummed if it's not. No strength required, a steady hand to compete. See the wonders of these Islands and give your taste buds a treat."

When both tribes get to the beach Jeff gives them the details of the reward challenge. "There are 16 tribe colored tiles, 8 for Koror and 8 for Ulong. Using a replica of a 50 caliber small class cannon, attempt to knock out your tribe tiles. First tribe to knock out all 8 of their tribe tiles wins reward."

The winning tribe will board a Japanese boat where they will eat Pringles and drink Mai-Tai's. They will cruise out to Jellyfish Lake and snorkel with thousands of jellyfish who have lost their ability to sting.

Since Koror is up 4 members they sit out Katie, Janu, Jen and Ian.

Ulong is up first and their order is Bobby Jon, James, Ibrehem and Stephanie. Koror's order is Gregg, Coby, Tom and Caryn. After Bobby Jon, Gregg, James, Coby and Ibrehem all miss, Tom has the first hit. (What a shocker.) The score is Koror 1 - Ulong 0. Stephanie gets the first hit for Ulong. Score is now 1-1. Caryn misses. Bobby Jon gets the next hit, 1-2 Ulong. Everyone eventually gets a hit, except for James (heehee).

The score is 7-7 and Stephanie is up. If she gets the next hit the score will be 8-7 Ulong and Koror will have one more chance to tie it up since they went last. Stephanie aims and hits! The pressure is now on Caryn to tie things up for Koror or Ulong wins. After a dramatic pause, Caryn shoots and.......misses! ULONG WINS REWARD!!!  imagePart I  [14 minutes]

Part 2 - [By: NawlinsGal] Is Our Sponsor Pringles? Stephanie is appreciating the win, she says we needed this so bad, this will give us new spirit and begin a new chapter for our team. Everyone is so excited about the Pringles with trivia questions on them and the best thing is they are all about previous Survivors seasons. They all start asking questions from the Pringles 1. Which 3 All-Stars won cars? they all answer Rob, Amber, and Shii Ann, next question 2. Who has won more Survivor games women or men? there is a few different answers, the answer is Women. Now they decide to have a toast, they have their MaiTais and Pringles raised "From here on out we win"

Next they walk to the top of the mountain to go to Jelly Fish Lake, when reaching the water you can see the bottom, it is beautiful. Ibrehem is saying that he has an euphoric feeling and that he is going to take it all in because this is something he will never go to again. Stephanie says this is just a huge boost in morale and it's breathtaking. As they are swimming among the Jelly fish at first there is a few here and there and then they just appear to be everywhere, the jelly fish have no stingers and can cause no injury. I have to say that I would love to go and swim with the Jelly fish it looked so serene and peaceful, I would love it.

Night 13 It's a very windy, rainy night. Tom estimates that the winds are blowing at 40 mph with stronger gusts. Ian is confident that the shelter will hold. It does but as daylight approaches on day 14 Janu isn't in that great of shape she is saying she feels so vulnerable. Toms says it's a bad day as well being so far away from his family. Janu continues on saying she doesn't have the strength to finish and she feels so alone, Tom encourages her to allow her strength to come back from inside because she does have strength he says. Katie starts saying that Janu is losing it, she goes on to say " I thought I was the drama queen, well apparently not that goes to Janu." imagePart II  [5 minutes]

Part 3 [By: Jem ] Ulong Day 14 We see Ibrehem carrying a footlocker, the rest of the group (what’s left of them) met him. It’s the tree mail for today. Inside the box, is rope and Koror’s flag and a message. It reads,

This flag and box belong to your enemy.
STOP
Your enemy has you flag and a box also.
STOP
You must secure the flag inside the box with only the rope provided. STOP
Make this box impenetrable.
STOP
Bring the secured box with you to the challenge.
STOP

James brags to the others that he was in the Navy, he can make a knot that when pulled will just tighten. In his interview he tells us, "Tree mail was a big ol' chest, a flag and a big ol' bunch of rope, and we had to make it impenetrable. Well I know a thing about knots."

We see them start tying up the footlocker.

Bobby Jon tells us, "James said he was in the Navy, so we spent a lot of time tying this one knot, that he says, when you pull on it, it's just gonna get tighter. He took the lead and acted like he knew what he was doing, you know I just followed."

They make their way to the challenge. We didn’t see Koror working on their box. My assumption is that theirs is probably better. Stephanie tells us, "I'm pretty sure this is ours for the taking, We’re gonna win!"

We see both tribes making their way to the beach. Jeff gets down to business. He says, "Today’s challenge began this morning, you each received a footlocker and some rope. In the locker was the other tribe’s flag. You had to tie the rope and make the footlocker as impenetrable as you could. Now you have 20 minutes to swim out, get three bundles of lumber and build a fortress around the footlocker to make it even harder for the other tribe to get their flag. Once the 20 minutes are up, you will swap and try and undo what the other tribe has done. Retrieve your flag, take it to the pole and raise it. First team to raise their flag wins immunity."

Jen, Katie, Janu and Ian play for Koror as they sat out for the reward challenge. Jeff starts them off and Katie and Janu stay onshore and keep tying up knots on the fortress. Meanwhile, James tried to keep his toga on. Coby says, "Look at James tying his skirt instead of knots." Jeff also comments about him keeping trying to keep the Toga on. (Oh please don’t show me anything!)

Ulong is back first with the lumber and get busy making the fortress. Stephanie is even using her teeth. With 10 minutes to go, Ulong really made some ground. At least it looked that way. Koror is still knotting and pushing lumber wherever they can. Ulong uses every piece of wood they have, while Koror still has 1/3 or their lumber left. When time is up, Ulong's fortress looks more impressive, but when I got a look at the Koror knot on the footlocker, I was impressed.

They swap sides, after the 20 minutes. Stephanie gets frustrated with all the knots. Koror did a good job with their fortress. Ian, Katie, Janu and Jenn seem to be making good progress on their lumber. Both teams make it to the footlocker at about the same time. Ulong is having more trouble with the knots than Koror. Maybe Tom tied it (swoon - teehee). Koror gets their flag out before Ulong even has half the knots on their locker undone. Translation, Koror win immunity again. Jeff hands over the idol, Ulong look again deflated. Both tribes head back to camp. imagePart III  [5 minutes]

Part 4 [By: CeCiMom] Tribal Council: Ulong returns for 6th consecutive time. Jeff states to James… You have not won one single IC!?! James says, when we hear the word “immunity,” I think we sabotage ourselves. Jeff asks him if he thinks he gave 100% this last IC? I mean, Steph and Bobby Jon swim out to get the wood, Ibe strolls out doing I don’t know what, and you (James) set back there playing with your skirt for 2, 3, 4 minutes. (Steph rolls her eyes.) That is when you lost the challenge. James disagrees with Jeff.

Jeff tells Ibe:  "Last TC you were close to being gone. Do you ever think, 'Am I cut out for this game?'"  Ibe says, I’ve never thought like that. It’s opened my eyes to what I can do not what I can’t handle.

Jeff asks James, if you hold the same criteria for Ibe from last tribal council. Is it fair to judge only by your performance in a challenge? James says, no, I base my vote on camp life, personality, do I get along with this person.

"Steph, your fighting for your life, this tribe is almost done, out of numbers..."  Steph says, fact is I want to win at least one IC. I don’t want to be that tribe that’s never won immunity. That is like a disgrace.

Bobby Jon? Do you trust your fellow tribe mates? Bobby Jon says that he doesn’t feel he should be with a tribe that he doesn’t trust. Steph, do you trust these three guys? She says, yes she does. Go to the bank with it? Absolutely and when I give my word I hope they can take it too. (Cleverly worded, you think?)

Jeff asks Steph, do you worry that there could be a way to divide this tribe being three guys come from basically the same part of the country (Alabama?) Steph says that paranoia sets in because of that at every TC. But, I hope they know I’ve worked my butt off to be here. I’ve done well and I don’t think it’s my time and I hope they see that too.

Time to vote. Bobby Jon (not seen) James (votes for Ibe) says, you and I just don’t get along. Ibe (votes for James) says, sorry brother. Steph (not seen)

Votes counted  And there is a 2 -2 tie. Jeff tells them how the re-vote will work. Ibe, James… you will not vote. Bobby Jon, Stephanie, you will vote for either James or Ibe. “This is your last opportunity to change your vote. Votes re-counted… they come out James, James. (Stephanie whispers to James… “sorry, I had to) James is voted off the island.  imagePart IV  [5 minutes]

March 16, 2005  Episode #5: "The Best and Worst Reward Ever"

Note:  Because of the odd format of tonight's show, we ended up with three people writing the same segments.  Oh they didn't leave anything out, they just kept writing into other segments. I didn't know where to edit, so some of their duplicated efforts are included.  -Morty

Part 1 [By: Trewa]  Koror Nigth11: We see Jen and Gregg cuddling and giggling in the dark. Coby talks about how certain people have "teamed off" in the shelter at night. Says it's "very obvious." Willard is outside laying in the hammock, since he is closest to the fire they put him in charge of it. 4

Ulong Night 11: When they get back from tribal it looks like it's going to start to rain and James and Bobby Jon decide they should all go to the cave. Bobby Jon is leading the way and winds up lost. They start to get upset about not knowing where they are and Angie says she wants to go back and stay at their camp, she doesn't want to get even more lost in the jungle, Stephanie starts to side with her and they all end up going back to camp. They get rained on all night. James gives a little pep talk about not quitting. In the morning they are all wet, freezing and tired from the long wet night. The dark skies don't give them any hope for a better day.

Koror Day 12: Tom is tired and grumpy because he ended up watching the fire all night, not Willard, who he had to crawl over every time he went to put a log on it. They think he could have helped out by watching it, that it was something he is capable of doing for the tribe since he can't/doesn't do much else. They seem to be getting fed up with him not doing things around camp to help out. Gregg talks about how with them winning all of these Immunity Challenges they haven't really had to play the voting side of the game. He says that Willard has been getting a "free ride" and has been able to play in the game longer than he should have been able to.

Reward Challenge: For the Reward Challenge they have to pull a tribe member out to a shipwreck on a skiff using a pulley system, once they get to the buoy, the tribe member must dive down and retrieve one of 14 Sake bottles, get back on the skiff and then the tribe must pull them back to the platform.

First tribe to 6 bottles wins reward. The reward is supper, stew and root beer, the bad news is that they will be eating it at Tribal Council because win or lose both tribes will be going to Tribal council tonight to vote someone off. The winners will be voting first, then they will sit down for supper on the jury side while they watch the other team at their Tribal Council. They can use this time to gather information about how the other tirbe is doing that may be useful to them later on in the game. Willard, Katie, Janu and Caryn sit out for Koror. Ulong gets off to an early lead but they fall behind when Ibrehem can't get a bottle after 3 tries and ends up going back empty handed. When Ian has problems finding a bottle for Koror the race gets tight again. Ian and Steph both go back out a second time. Ian gets his second bottle first and Koror wins Reward! imagePart I  [14 minutes]

Part 2 [By:  Jem] KOROR Day 12
They are all congratulating each other on a job well done for the Reward Challenge. I can hear Tom telling them it was a job well done. They’re excited about being able to eat.

Ian tells us. " Today was one we had to win as a team, and unfortunately both tribes have to go to Tribal Council to vote someone out. Poor Ulong are just getting decimate. I mean there is only gonna be four of them left and there will be eight of us. Its going to be good to watch Ulong interact, and I'm gonna be having a party in my mouth!"

Koror is talking about Ibrehem, and how he performed badly today in the challenge. Ian breaks out in song. (YIKES! Another Wanda.)

ULONG
Stephanie isn’t impressed about losing yet another challenge, she is sick of it. She never had to put up with losing so much in her life, being that she is very athletic and competitive. She stomps off to get water. Dork....errrr I mean James tells us. (Please read in James-speak)  "At the challenge, we had it in the BAG!?! Ibrehem! We lost because of him. He gave up. His heart wasn’t in it. If his heart was in it, he would have told us, look I couldn’t do it. That would have been the manly thang to do! I mean BEEF STEW!"

Ibrehem acknowledges that he lost it for the tribe.. He tried to talk to James who is ignoring him. It seems that he is the target for being voted off.

Back at Koror, Willard suspects that its his time to go. He is sitting alone while all the others are out in the water talking about how he doesn’t pull his weight. Later he is talking to Coby, and offers him his clothes if they will fit. He seems to be resolved to the fact he is going tonight. Coby would rather see Katie go, she does nothing. In his camera interview Coby tells us. "It’s a popularity contest, if I act like a bitch I'm gone. If I'm gone before Katie, I will PUKE PUKE PUKE!" He has also named Gregg and Jen, Ken and Barbie!

Later we see Gregg approach Coby about a secret alliance, him, Jen, Janu and Coby. Telling us about it, Coby is open mouthed and like WHAT!! Then back to Tom touching base with Gregg, making sure that Willard is out tonight.   imagePart II  [14 minutes]

Part 3 [By: NawlinsGal]  Koro Tribal Council  Koror arrives for the first time to Tribal Council. Jeff Probst says they have a lot to cover! Who is leading the tribe now? Katie says at challenges, it’s definitely Tom. At camp, as far as providing food, it’s Ian.

Jeff asks Tom if he came to be the leader. Tom had planned to be the dad and fade into the background, but he came into a tribe that was initially physically weaker than the other tribe and everybody had to turn it on 110% to win immunity – and we’ve seen the results.

Jeff asks Coby if he is the social one in the tribe, yes says Coby "Very Social" Jeff asks if that might be a problem down the line and Coby replies " I'm just being myself, and if that costs me the game then so be it."

Gregg is asked what friendships and bonding he’s noticed. Tom and Ian spend a lot of time together, like a father/son relationship (Ian chimes in jokingly that he’s the father). Greg says that he has formed a strong bond with Jen, I think it's a bit more than that, but we will leave it at that for this week. LOLl

Jeff then asks Willard how he thinks he is perceived, he admits to being the weaker member of the team.

Jeff announces " It's time to vote." Willard votes for Katie, then Katie votes for Willard stating "You're crabby and you're bitter." although she does appear to be slightly smiling.

Jeff tallies the votes and reads off: Katie, Willard, Willard, Willard, Willard, Willard and with that the 5th person voted out is Willard. Upon exiting Willard turns to his tribe mates and says "Stay Strong, Stick to the Plan, Finish them off."

In his final words to us, Willard says he surprised himself by not being quite as strong as he expected to be. He knows he can get crabby, but it’s been years since he’s been in a situation where he is deprives of water and sleep. He thinks the tribe as a whole are good people, by and large.

Koror now crosses over to the “jury” side. Ulong is brought in and Jeff announces to Koror to pull off the cover of their reward, they have Beef Stew, Bread, and Root Beer. Koror is trying very hard not to make Ulong feel bad, but Angie buries her face in her hands, Jeff asks Angie if she is upset or just can't stand to look at the food. Angie replies she can't stand to look at the food. She goes on to say that they were so close today and it would of been wonderful to win since they really need the food so badly. James says that the desire was there, they just didn't get it done. Ibrehem says that he hopes everyone looks at the whole picture not just his performance tonight, he knows that the blame has been layed at his feet, he also says that they need more than Beef Stew to make there team stronger.

After talking Jeff says he has one more thing to say and that is that Koror is there to eat, listen and not ask any questions, but what they hear could be used to their advantage at some point.

Next Jeff asks why Ulong has brought most of their camp with them. Bobby Jon answers saying that they were thinking it could be a merge, and they wanted everything with them. I think that was kind of a waste of energy carrying all that extra stuff, but look what team we are dealing with, case closed. Jeff tells them that no they aren't merging.

It is time for the vote and Jeff pipes up with a BUT, a BIG BUT, there is one more part to the reward, Koror will vote to give one player on Ulong immunity, Sure got quiet real quick at Tribal Council, the Survivors look a bit stunned, they are to write down the name of the player they want to receive immunity.

Katie votes for Ibrehem, Stephanie gets a vote, Gregg votes for Angie. Jeff goes to get the votes and begins to read the results, in order first vote Angie, then Ibrehem, Stephanie, Bobby Jon, Stephanie, Bobby Jon, Ibrehem, Ibrehem! Ibrehem has immunity, now you know his guardian angel was sitting on his shoulder today. Stephanie and Angie don't look very pleased with the results, but I guess why would they be. Jeff gives Ibrehem the immunity necklace. imagePart III  [5 minutes]

Part 4 [By: Cappy] Night 12- Koror's Tribal Council
Jeff: "We have a lot to cover. Lets talk about relationships, leadership, friendship. Katie, who is leading this tribe?" Katie: "Depends on how you want to define leader. At challenges, its Tom. If your looking at a leader as someone who provides food, that's Ian."

Jeff: "Tom, did you come in here to be the leader?" Tom: "My intention was come in here as the 40 year old dad, fading into the background but I ended up on a tribe initially physically weaker than the other tribe and everyone of us had to turn it on 110% to win those immunities and see those results."
Jeff: "Coby, are you social with this tribe?" Coby: "I'm very social which could bite me in the end. I get along with everybody. You know when your too friendly and too busy to be, people start to watch you too much." Jeff: "How do you counter it?" Coby: "I don't care, I'm just being me. I do like to fly. I do want to talk to everybody and if it costs me the game, so be it."

Jeff: "Gregg, what relationships have you seen develop? Are you starting to notice a natural bond between people?" Gregg: "I definitely see that. Tom and Ian are spending a lot of time together. Its like a father-son relationship. But at the same time, you appreciate it, its nothing secretive. Coby and Janu have been getting along great and Willard and Caryn have been getting along great. Katies been spreading the love. She's loving everybody and everybody's been appreciating it. That leaves myself and Jen alone. Jeff: "A different kind of friendship there?" Gregg: "You know, we have a special bond and its nothing super intense.

Jeff: "Willard how do you think you are perceived?" Willard: "Uh... probably one of the weaker players on the team. I'm not as strong as I thought Id be and I think people understand it and its not a good situation to be in.

Jeff: "Its time to vote, Willard your up."

We see Willard voting for Katie. We see Katie voting for Willard saying, "Your crabby and your very bitter. Bye"

"Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes. Katie. Willard. One vote Willard, one vote Katie. Willard. Two votes Willard, one vote Katie. Willard. Three votes Willard, one vote Katie. Willard. Four votes Willard, one vote Katie. Fifth person voted out of Survivor: Palau. Willard. You need to bring me your torch. Willard, the tribe has spoken. Its time for you to go."

Willard: "Stay strong, stick with the plan and finish them off."

Jeff: "Ok Koror, you are a tribe of 8, Willard is gone. Your work is done for your voting. We'll bring in the Ulong tribe and partake in your reward. Move on over to the Jury Side."

Ulongs Tribal Council

Jeff: "Koror, go ahead and pull off the cover. Soup, bread and root beer. Just so were all clear, part of Koror's reward was to be here at tribal council to listen and gather vital information which could benefit them later on in the game. Ok Ulong, the first question I have is why have you brought your camp with you? You have brought shovels, and your home depot kit. Bobby Jon?"
Bobby Jon: "We don't know what's gonna happen. We don't know if were gonna merge. We decided to bring everything if we have to, we'll take it back.

Jeff: "Angie, are you hiding your face because you cant stand to look at the food? Angie: "Yea..." Jeff: "Your genuinely upset. Is it frustration or are you sad?" Angie: "I'm frustrated. It was really close. We need this. Its not like today was a lose of food. This would've been a big boost of team morale. Its not all about the food. After consistently losing, it would've been nice to win.
Jeff: "Steph, how is it for you?" Steph: "It makes me sick. Makes me sick to know we would've been eating a nice meal. We almost had it in the palm of our hand. We had a great lead and we blew it all away. Its hard. I cant even look over there. I don't even know who got voted out."
Jeff: "James, you guys have hung in there. You tried to keep a good attitude but today it looks like it put a knife in this tribes back." James: "We all wanted it. Our desire was there. We was pulling as hard as we could, as fast as we could just so we could get the reward. We all wanted it."
Jeff: "Ibrehem." Ibrehem: "You know, everyone's emotional and all they're thinking about is man, we could've been eating beef stew. I can go back to other challenges where others haven't done so well but that's not the way I do business. I wish people would look collectively at how I've done in challenges then put it together rather than put your fate in one challenge and if you made one mistake, too bad."

"Ulong its time to vote but before you vote, Koror is going to be voting for somebody to have immunity. Janu, your up." We see Katie vote for Ibe, Jenn vote for Steph, and Gregg vote for Angie. The votes are Angie, Ibe, Steph, Bobby Jon, Steph, Bobby Jon, Ibe and Ibe. Ibe has immunity. James is called to vote. We see James vote for Angie saying, "Angie, sorry." We see Ibe write down James's name. An we see Steph vote for Bobby Jon saying, "I just think its your time to go. Sorry" "Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes. Angie. Bobby Jon. One vote Angie, one vote Bobby Jon. James. One vote Angie, one vote Bobby Jon, one vote James. Bobby Jon. Two votes Bobby Jon, one vote Angie, one vote James. Angie. We have a tie. We will re-vote with just James, Ibe and Steph. James your up. Ibe and Steph vote. Ill go tally the votes. Angie. Sixth person voted out of Survivor: Palau, Angie. You need to bring me your torch. Angie, your tribe has spoken." "Well, you had a rough first 12 days. You are down to four tribe-mates. Your still a tribe and you seem to still believe it. Grab your torch, head back to camp.

Final Words
Willard- I surprised myself out her by not being as quite as strong as I expect to be. There are times I get crabby and it annoys people. Its been a long time since Ive been deprived of water and sleep. I think the group as a whole is a good group by in large.

Angie- I'm very proud of my accomplishments. I did a lot better than I thought I would. I'm happy I came out here and did something Ive never done. It was a different experience. I definitely appreciate those little things. It was really refreshing. imagePart IV  [5 minutes]

March 10, 2005  Episode #4: "Sumo at Sea"

Part 1 [By Cman] Night 9 Ulong:  As the tribe comes back from Tribal council, to be mad at two things. One is that Jeff, one of their strongest players is gone by request, and two is that they can't seem to win a immunity challenge. Bobby Jon expresses what seems to be a team feeling when he says that he believes the group is not united, which seems to be true on a count of a small discussion/argument over James "stomping" Koror.

Koror wakes up to day 10, when Jennifer and Katie pick up tree-mail. The girls are excited to show the team that they get to pick a representative to represent them in a challenge, with the nominees being Ian and Gregg, apparently not to Coby's liking. To his account, he, Janu and Jennifer volunteered to be the leader, with no one even being nominated, by a group of five deciding over the other four, Janu, Coby, Jennifer and Willard.

At Ulong, apparently nominations are not a concern. They first think to draw straws, then think again and decide that they don't need to pick right now, and head out on a fishing trip

At Koror beach, Jeff arrives in his Washingtonessque pose on the Home Depot boat (no product placement there) with a tool chest labeled Home Depot (not there either). He asks Ian, who was chosen by the team, to come upon the ship and learn about his challenge

Reward Challenge: Each team, with 6 tools from the home depot chest (and 6 for other things) to build a bathroom, to be judged later. On Koror, they decide to sit out Jennifer, Janu and Coby (familiar names?) to not help at all.

When Jeff arrives at Ulong, there is no representative for him to choose. The team quickly pulls James out of the boat (who has a background in building houses) to build the bathroom. He's psyched up, and they start to build imagePart I  [14 minutes]

Ian is construction foreman at Koror

The foremen get to select three tools.

James is the foreman at Ulong  "It's an axe and a hammer"

One of those home center stores sponsored the challenge, I'm not sure they mentioned the name.

Jesse, the Production Designer tries Ian's privy.

Jesse, the Production Designer tries Ian's privy.

Koror wins

The funniest line of the night was James, sitting in the dark of the night, "I guess we didn't win."

Part 2 [By Jem2405] KOROR Day 10
Jeff brings Jesse, the Production Designer by boat to the tribe. They are there to judge the bathroom amenities. Tom leads the group up the garden path. First is that toilet, Jesse inspects it and takes a seat to see how comfy it seems. He spots the "toilet paper" and with a chuckle asks if its safe to use. Tom assures him it is.

Next up it’s the shower. One the way Tom points out the path and Jesse agrees it looks great. Ian is the one that demonstrates the shower. Seeing he is the self proclaimed "dirtiest" of the tribe. The shower height is adjustable. Ian asks Jeff to hand him the soap. (Me too Jeff!)

As Jeff and Jesse are making their way back Jeff explains how it will work. If you’re the winning tribe, our construction crew will come back and build you a shelter. You will be judged on creativity and functionality. If yours is the best. We will be back before sunset.

Katie tells us, "The tour was terrific, it was taking them through our thought process and how we came up with it. I’m very confident. I’ll be surprised if we don’t win this. We need this SO badly, we have rats of the USA!"

ULONG:  As Jeff and Jesse arrive, the tribe are still hard at work and Jeff comments. James takes them on a tour. There is far to go as the whole shelter is in one place. There is a basin, toilet and a shower stall. Jesse walks around the back and shakes the whole structure and doesn’t look impressed. On the toilet seat it has "For a good time call Jeff Probst." Jeff asks if they have to correct number.

In her interview Stephanie tells us. "Our bathroom looks really really good. It’s a lot nicer than we thought it would ever be."

Jeff and Jesse make their way back to the boat. James says " I think we won, NO DOUBT! Look at it, its perfect. They’ll be back in about 2 hours maybe 3." (Errrrr, I don’t think so!)

KOROR:  They whole tribe are sitting on the beach listening to any sound. They are all congratulating each other on a job well done. Even if they don’t win they have a shower and a loo. Ian comments, "Everyone did a really great job. But you never know what rabbit Ulong will pull out of the their hat."

We see the construction crew heading out in the Home Depot barge somewhere. Then the camera slowly shows us what tribe has won. Its KOROR, Tom yells "Do you guys hear that?" Then we see the barge come around a rock. All of KOROR jump up and down. Tom says, "We see the Home Depot barge and there was a lot of joy in the camp!"

Things are rocking, the crew has the shelter built and are putting the finishing touches on for the tribe. A hammock, deck, grass mats to sleep on and a picnic table. There is one last thing for them. They hand them a crate, inside are two ice cold bottles of champagne. It’s a house warming gift. Wasting no time in opening them, we see Karen in fits of laughter, Coby is asking her if she is ok. She is just a little drunk. Tom and Ian dancing, we hear tom say to Ian as he gets dipped, " I’m not that lit yet!" (LOL)

Back at ULONG, they are still waiting. They have pretty much lost hope but the sun is still just up and James and Ibrehem are looking out at the water, waiting. Once the sun is down, we hear James tells us how annoyed they are that Koror won, and that it’s just made his tribe mad and want to push to win the Immunity Challenge. imagePart II  [9 minutes]
Part 3 [By Jem2405] ULONG Day 11

We hear James yelling, "YO! We got tree mail." He hands the paper to Stephanie and she reads.

"Square off in a circle, against your opponents. Balance and Strength. The two crucial components. David Beat Goliath, using brains over brawn. Be the one to lose this one, and you could be the next to be gone."

Stephanie practices with the pillow with handles! (I don’t know what it is!) She tells us. "I hate for things to come down to the wire. But it seems like it has with us. This next Immunity will make or break us. If we don’t get it, we’re down to five, and they have nine. We CAN'T lose another tribe member."

Immunity Challenge:
We see a platform in the water and all the tribe members heading to the beach. Jeff takes the Idol back from Koror and tells them, "For today’s challenge, Survivors will engage in a one on one sumo style battle. Using the large padded bags. You will attempt to knock your opponent off the platform. Two rules, you gotta keep both hands on the bag at all time and you can not use you feet as a weapon. First tribe to six, wins immunity." Koror will have to sit out two men and one woman as the battle is men versus men and women versus women. Koror sits out Ian, Katie and Willard.

Round 1, Tom and Bobby Jon. Tom wins. (Tom gets cut, but Oh! What a man!)
Round 2, Stephanie and Jen. Stephanie wins. (She is a little spitfire!)
Round 3, Greg and Ibrehem. Greg wins. (That was a little bit of a shocker to me.)
Round 4, Angie and Caryn. Angie wins.
Round 5, James and Coby. Coby wins. (GO Coby!)
Round 6, Kim and Janu. Janu wins. (Oh, didn’t see that coming!)
Round 7, Tom and Bobby Jon. Tom wins again! (YAY Tom!) Koror leads 5 - 2.
Round 8. Stephanie and Jen. Stephanie wins.
Round 9, Greg and Ibrehem. Ibrehem wins. (Yells "Get you’re a$$ up off here!")
Round 10, Angie and Caryn. Angie wins. Tied now 5 - 5
Round 11, James and Coby. Coby wins! (This challenge was fun to watch. I was on the edge of my seat yelling! My hubby actually thought I’d lost my mind!)

Immunity won by Koror. Their forth straight win! Jeff Probst actually looked excited! He hands off the Idol and congratulates them. Then tells Ulong the he will see them at Tribal Council. They all look very deflated!  imagePart III  [11 minutes]

Part  4 [By CeCiMom] James: "Feels terrible having my butt whipped by a homosexual, ya know? But, a lot of gay folks is strong, ya know? But, they be workin out at the gym and all, ya know? [Well ya, I know you're a moron.]

Bobby Jon: "We got our butt's kicked today. Imagine that. That's what's been happening here lately."

Angie/Stephanie walking together in the bush. Stephanie says, "I'm so sick of losing, I don't know what to do. I've never lost this much in my entire life. I'm about to flip out. I'm just so mad, upset, embarrassed... pissed! Cause James lost for all of us." Angie says, "At least we know we're doing our part. WE didn't fall off."

Back at camp James tells Kim that they're not going to talk about who to vote for at tribal council. They're just going to go and vote. (Then James says on one on one interview that Kim does nothing but drink some coconut juice. So, she's gone.)

Kim and Stephanie voice their concerns in their 1 on 1's. That if they vote another girl off it will give the guys a 3 - 2 advantage. Angie sees their dilemma as being one more girl down a disadvantage but, if they keep Kim around and then lose the next IC. They have to vote another person off anyways.

Tribal Counsel: As they sit Jeff says, "I've saved your seats for you from last time."  "Let's talk about some of the facts."

"Last 7 challenges you've (Ulong) have lost 5 of them."

"Stephanie, how does it feel to continue to get beat?" Steph says, "I feel like we're giving it our best and it's not enough... well, at least I know I am."

Angie says, "I was really, really, really upset we didn't win the RC (James squirms in his seat.) And, then on top of it to lose the next IC, it's devastating."

Jeff to Bobby Jon: "Bobby Jon, I don't think we've ever had a tribe lose this many in a row!?" Bobby Jon says, "Yea, things aren't good, we're bad, we're down right now." "You know what? I'm not doing something right, I consider my head being on the chopping block... if you want to know the truth because I have let our tribe down in challenges. And, I know I have and there's no excuse for that."

Jeff addresses the tribe. "Tonight we're going to talk about accountability. Time to get to the bottom of what is wrong with this tribe."
(Addressing Kim.) "Is there one person that goes fishing or 2 people or does everyone go?"

Kim: "We all go out but it seems that Bobby Jon and James take the Hawiian sling the most and go."
Jeff: "When's the last time you went fishing?"
Kim: "We all go out together we don't we don't go in the water and fish."
Jeff: "So, what do you do?"
Kim: "We sit on the boat."
Jeff: "How useful is that?"
Kim: (Inhales)"I mean steph and I couldn't just row out there in the deep blue and go fish and turn around and row back in. I mean you might have to send the search team out."

Jeff says to Stephanie: "Stephanie, if you had NO men in this tribe, could you guys survive? Are you sufficient as women or are you relying on these men?" Stephanie says, "I think we're relying on them but, I think we could be self sufficient if we had to be."

Angie points out that the guys think the girls are a little more delicate than they are. For example, the men tried to help her use the hammer and nails during the RC. She comments that she uses a hammer and nails at home all the time. Jeff asks Bobby Jon if that's a fair statement. Bobby Jon responds that he's been out here 11 days and that these women are just as strong if not stronger than the men. Bobby Jon says, "If Kim can use that sling and go kill us a bear... I want her to."

Jeff asks. "James, frustrating to lose to Colby?" James says, "no doubt, I'm thinking he's a hairdresser. He doesn't have any muscle tone. I owtta be able to whoop him. I tell you that boy right there got some ass behind him.

Jeff: "Well, of course you're going to say that."
James: " He whooped my ass, yeah."

Jeff points out of the 6 points it took to win the IC. 5 of Koror's points came from beating the Ulong men. "The women carried this tribe, again!"

Kim says, "If we have stronger men with passion and control of that passion we wouldn't be here right now."

Time to vote.

Ibe votes first. (not seen)
James votes for Kim. Says, "you're a good girl, you're just not putting much effort into the tribe, lately. Sorry."
Stephanie votes. (not seen)
Kim votes for James. Says, " Just be aware of dictating a little too much."
Bobby Jon votes. (not seen)
Angie votes. (not seen)

Jeff comes back from tallying the votes.

1st name... Kim.
2nd name... James.
3rd name... Kim.
4th name... Kim.
5th name... Kim.
Kim is voted off the island.

Jeff ends with... "After a demoralizing first 11 days, the question is... what are you going to do to change the outcome?"   imagePart IV  [14 minutes]

March 3, 2005  Episode #3: "Dangerous Creatures and Horrible Setbacks"

The tribe's hardest worker.

Part I [By: XandraSkye] Ulong Night 6:  Stephanie, Jeff and Kim are discussing the Tribal Council they just got back from. Stephanie says, "We can not lose anymore people. We can't." Kim is complaining about how Jeff P. put her on the spot about her snuggling relationship with Jeff. Kim told Jeff, "It pisses me off, it really does. I don't like questions like that." [HELLOOOO...have you not watched the show before? Jeff ALWAYS points out the one thing you don't want him to point out at Tribal Council. It amazes me that this show is in season 10 and people are still surprised by the questions that are asked at tribal council.] Jeff tells us that he told Mr. Probst that they are "just keeping each other warm", but James let it be known that they aren't fooling anyone and that Kim has got to go.

Koror tribe Day 7 It is raining and people look cold and miserable. It's obvious it's because of a lack of shelter. Tom, the hunky one, says, "It's raining a couple times a day, we have kind of a lame shelter with limited supplies. We are getting wet at night and we need a better shelter." Coby agrees and mentions that they have been working for three days and they still don't have a shelter.

Coby then brings up the fact that they are still "9 strong" and that has it's advantages and disadvantages because people are starting to get on each other's nerves. We see evidence in this with Caryn and Katie. They are starting to clash so Caryn decides to confront Katie. On my end it seems like Caryn has more of the problem with Katie than the other way around. When Caryn confronts Katie she basically just laughs her off and finds it funny. Which got a chuckle out of me.

A life preserver is released. A person from each team goes after the ring, they can do whatever they need to to take the ring from the other player.
Once they get the ring, they place it on their team's peg.
Get three rings on your team's peg...
...and you win a sewing kit and fabric.
After you win, hug your team mates.

The Reward Challenge:  Jeff explains that he will release a life ring from the bottom of the ocean. The goal is to swim out, retrieve the ring, and bring it back to their tribe colored pontoon. First tribe member to place a hand on the pontoon while having a hand on the life ring scores a point for their tribe. But, of course, there is a catch [it wouldn't be Survivor if there wasn't a catch]. Jeff tells them, "Besides from punching or intentionally trying to hurt someone you can push, pull, drunk or splash to get the life ring." Sounds like fun to me!

First round will be one man against one man. Second round will be one woman against one woman. First tribe to score three points wins reward. Reward is a full sewing kit, with items that can be used around camp.

Since Koror is up two people they sit out Caryn and Willard.

First up are Jeff for Ulong and Tom, the hunky one, for Koror. Tom gets the ring and puts it around his waist. What seems like a smart move turns out working against him because Jeff just starts dragging Tom with the life ring. Tom loses the ring, Jeff now has it, they start a tug-of-war but Jeff gets to his pontoon and scores in the first round.

Next round is Stephanie from Ulong and Jen from Koror. Stephanie is a strong swimmer and gets to the life ring first. She starts to swim back to her pontoon when Jen grabs the life ring and starts a cute little splashing fight with Stephanie and even tries to drunk her. It's obvious from where I'm sitting that Stephanie finds this amusing, judging from the smirk on her face. So she turns around, dunks Jen, swims to her pontoon and scores another point for Ulong.

Third round is Bobby Jon and Angie from Ulong against Gregg and Janu from Koror. Bobby Jon gets to the life ring first and in a defensive move, to keep Janu from getting anywhere near the life ring, Angie dunks her. And then she dunks Greg!  Greg starts a tug-of-war with Bobby Jon but Angie dunks him AGAIN and Bobby Jon gets to the pontoon and wins reward for Ulong tribe. [Side note: Anyone notice Janu's adorable attempt to splash Angie?].

Jeff P. ends it by saying, "Koror, not much to say. Tough physical challenge. Ulong earned it, they won it and I got nothing for ya. Ulong nice job. Good strategy. You guys worked well together. Here's your reward, be inventive. Head back to camp." imagePart I  [14 minutes]

Part II [By: mrspopcornsupriz]  Day 7 Ulong
Bobby Jon starts talking about how they kicked tail today. He would like to use some of the line and metal to make a fishing hook. He thinks others wasting a lot of time sleeping instead of getting done what needs to get done. He started doing everything the first few days and not they just let him to everything. Bobby Jon thinks Kim doesn’t understand there is lots of work to do.

Kim thinks Bobby Jon works his bootie off and needs to chill out.

Day 7 Koror
Tom found a Sea Snake, which is venomous. Gregg says it can kill you with one bite and can cause cardiac arrest or put you in a coma. They chopped the snake’s head off. Ian felt bad for the snake being an animal lover. The guys found a few more snakes. Pinned one down and chopped it’s head off too. They let the carcass hang on a tree branch over the water and noticed a shard came swimming around it. Tom thought maybe they could trade some of the snake for a shark. Tom and Ian tried to catch a shark with pieces of the snake and sharpened sticks. The shark came close but saw them and swam away. Tom wants to eat a shark so much they he isn’t really scared of the shark. Tom hopes to catch a shark eventually.  imagePart II  [14 minutes]

Part III [By: NawlinsGal43] Ulongs Day 8  Jeff is talking about he didn't get much sleep because he injured his ankle during the night....so he needs to relax and conserve his energy for the challenge.

Tree mail is picked up and it states "Weight of the weak on shoulders of the Strong."  This concerns Jeff since he feels that he needs to do anything to carry his tribe to the end, he worries that he is lacking in the strength with his ankle injury.

I was shopping at Pier 1 and thought you might like this...

Both teams arrive at the beach. Jeff takes the immunity necklace from Willard and announces that it is back up for grabs. Jeff notices that Jeff hobbled slightly into the area and asked what happened....Jeff replied " I rolled it during the night....I stepped onto a coconut in the dark and messed my ankle up."

Jeff explains that for the immunity challenge all the survivors will wear a belt that is clipped to a rope and all the Survivors on each team will be clipped together.  To make matters worse they will have a twenty pound bag of sand to carry, and while attached and weighted down the teams will try to catch each other.  It sounds a lot easier than it was.  Each member who decides they can no longer continue on will have to opt out and give their 20 pound sand bag to another member to carry.  So you can get out but you will load someone else down when you do..

The teams get in the water and as soon as they begin Jeff hands off his sand bag and opts out; he figures he will be a weak link for the team and slow them down...

Caryn is the first on down on Koror and passes her sand bag to Tom who now has 40 pounds. Next Willard hands off to Gregg. Next Kim on Ulong passes off to Bobby Jon who now has three packs = 60 pounds.  Next Angie passes to James, and then Katie on Koror passes off and each team now has four players left each.  Stephanie being the only woman left in the challenge. You can see the teams wearing down as the walking in water tires them out and the sun beating down isn't helping.

Tom is leading his team to walk faster and encouraging them along...Coby, Ian and Tom all with 60 pounds are doing great as they break into a sprint.

Stephanie is still going strong as James passes off to Bobby-Jon who now has 80 pounds [what a man...woo hoo!].

Ulong is starting to slow....we are down to Tom/Gregg/Ian vs. Ibrehem/BobbyJon/Stephenie. Bobby Jon jumps up to lead his group, but as he is encouraging them Koror is nipping at there heels....within a few minutes Gregg jumps up to tag Ibrehem and Koror wins the challenge.

Jeff tells everyone to head back to the camp and will see Ulong at tribal council tonight..  imagePart III [14 minutes]
Part IV [By: Cappy] Night 9 Tribal Council: Ulong made its third consecutive trip to tribal council and they are not happy about it. Jeff's opening statement: "You guys gotta be tired of seeing me here." Pretty much everybody is agreeing.

"Ibrehem, three immunity challenges, three loses, and after tonight, three tribe members gone. Koror is still standing at nine. A little frustrating? Ibrehem says that it us very frustrating but if they had Jeff in the immunity challenge, they might have won.

Probst: "Bobby Jon, was Jeff really the difference in these challenges?"  Bobby Jon says that the difference was Tom on Koror because he was a man among men and he single handedly beat them.

Probst: "Ibe, your shaking your head. Ibe says that he doesn't think it was Tom that won." They worked together as a team. Probst then asks Stephanie how long it took before the finger pointing began after the challenge. Stephanie says that Jeff sat them down and told them that because of his injury, he's hurting and he doesn't know how much he's able to contribute. Probst asks why Jeff is smiling. Jeff says that he was a team player all his life and he thinks if he didn't hurt his ankle, they might have won if he was there. Probst asks Ibe a few questions and then turns to Kim asking her why she seems frustrating. Kim replies saying that because there are so many strong men with a lot of stamina, she cant compare to them. Because of the tribe manifesting itself into a position where the strong stay and the weak go, Kim is frustrated. Probst: "James, was there a dilemma, do we give him his wish or do we keep him? James: "Jeff, there was a dilemma. We have been debating all day and we probably still are. Its just running through our heads until we do it.

"Its time to vote. James, your up."

James votes for Kim saying "Kim, you are lazy. You don't do anything. You get out of the challenge early. You are not a helper." A few more people vote. Kim votes for Jeff saying "You became one of my greatest friends on this island. Im happy I got to know you. This is what you want so this is what I'm gonna do." A few more people vote. Bobby Jon votes for Kim saying "Everything's fine. Kim, I'm not going to play your silly ass little games." Probst says "Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes. First vote, Jeff. Jeff. Two votes Jeff. James. Kim. Two votes Jeff, one vote James, one vote Kim. Kim. Two votes Jeff, two votes Kim, one vote James. Jeff. Three votes Jeff, two votes Kim, one vote James. Third person voted out of Survivor: Palau, Jeff. You need to bring me your torch." "Kill Koror." Jeff says before his torch is snuffed. "Jeff, you tribe has spoken, its time for you to go." "You had a tough first eight days. So the question is, how do you make tonight's vote into something positive. Grab your torches, head back to camp good night.

Jeff's Final Comments: There's huge parts of me that wishes that I had not injured myself to the point of being unable to help my team advance in the game and it was my choice. My choice will make my team advance in the game.  imagePart IV  [14 minutes]

February 24, 2005  Episode #2: "Love Is in the Air, Rats Are Everywhere"
Part 1 [By: Cman]  It's night "three" at the Koror camp, where everyone enjoys a nice night with the jumping rats. For the castaways, they seem to be everywhere, eating their coconuts, jumping across logs, scaring the girls like ghosts. But the only thing that seems to be more annoying for the castaways is Caryn. She's jumping to conclusions, saying they shouldn't have gone to another camp, shouldn't have Tom as a leader, and back and forth. She talks to Tom, she still complains, and the castaways are getting sick of it. In the words of one castaway "We're here, get over it"

The sun comes up across the beach at Ulong, where everyone wakes up and is happy Jolanda is gone. Everyone is enthusiastic about making their own decisions, until they can't decide on anything. After a bit, the councils go to the tree mail spot, and get their treasure chest. Barrels of fun  imagePart I [14 minutes]

Part 2 [By XandraSkye]  After the break we see Ulong paddling back to their beach feeling motivated after their Reward Challenge win. Everyone is talking about how "awesome" their win was and how they are going to "catch some fish" for dinner tonight.

Jeff says, "After winning the flint and a sling and the snorkel and mask and fins...now we can eat. Now we can actually have some protein."

Another person feeling rejuvenated after their win is Angie. She says, "Oh my God, I needed this sooo badly. This is exactly what I needed. I was like...I was ready to cry because I was so relieved."

Bobby Jon was also proud of Angie (and for good reason, she ROCKED). He said, "I definitely judged Angie way too quickly. She went into a challenge and dominated...I mean completely dominated. I don't know what got into her but it was good and it totally changed the moral of our whole tribe." (That will teach you to misjudge chicks with [cool] tattoos, pretty boy!)

Then Ulong tribe has fire. Woohoo! Some vocalize their joy by saying, "I love fire."

Jeff wants to go out and catch some fish and explore the area around them. Unfortunately he doesn't catch those big, huge fish he was hoping for but only some "pinches of protein". But that doesn't put a damper on the victory of the day for Jeff. He shows us his sportsmanship by saying, "I'm happy they don't have the flint and I hope they don't find it."

Back at the Koror beach Ian and Tom want to go out and search for the box that fell to the bottom of the ocean when their boat was capsized. Tom said that they went out at a time when "the current was ripping". He said, "it was like being in a fast moving river."

They locate the box but it takes several tries and a lot of energy from Ian to get the box. They are finally victorious when Ian loops the anchor around a handle and hauls the box up to their boat.

Ian says, "It was like running a marathon and winning 1st place." (Cue "Chariots of Fire" music here). And to make it more of a cheesy movie moment he says, "Even though we lost the challenge it really felt like we won the day."

Then we see the Koror tribe cheering because they finally have fire. Tom (the sexy, older firefighter) says, "A good day...we can be proud." Someone pass me a tissue <snif, snif>. imagePart II [7 minutes]

Part 3 [By jem2405] Night 4 ULONG
We come back to the tribe feasting on fish (if you can call them that, about the size of a pea!) and clams. We hear Stephanie telling us, “Tonight is the first time we have had food in four days. We’re all famished and ready to chow down." Ashlee didn’t want anything to eat.  Jeff:  "It’s the only way we’re going to advance ourselves as a team in the game, and we have someone slowing us down. I just hope that doesn’t bring down the team."

Ashlee has crashed out in the shelter while everyone back at the camp is eating and enjoying the fire. Bobby Joe says, "Ashlee just went into the shelter and slept. It was a big BIG thing that we had fire. She should have come outside, you know? Sometimes we do things we don’t want to do. But we’re a tribe here and people will get voted out of the tribe."

Later, we go back to the camp, Kim and Jeff tell everyone that they are tired and head back to the shelter. Angie tells us, “Kim and Jeff have been snuggling a lot! I’m not sure if she is playing him or not. Couple alliances are very strong alliances. I’m not sure if they are buddying up for an alliance, so I am going to wait and see how it plays out.”

Day 5 The next morning, Kim and Angie go and get tree mail. They open it and see a mess kit containing a sheet with Morse code. They decipher the message at the bottom; it translates to ‘Learn Morse Code’. They yell back at the others and head towards camp with the code sheet. They decide to split the sheet up with everyone in their tribe and give everyone four letters to remember. They don’t know if it’s a good strategy or not but it’s worth a try. They head out for the challenge.

Challenge - Morse Code  Jeff Probst explains the challenge:  "You received tree mail today. It said learn Morse code. On my go, you will swim out to a platform. You’ll dive down to find a rope that is strung out and has a footlocker attached 50 feet away. Pull on the rope and as you do, it will bring the locker closer and closer. As it does it will release a buoy that will tell you how far you have to go. Once you’ve released all the buoys, the last one will say GO. Dive down and open the locker. In there, you will find mess kits. Unclip the kits and bring them back to shore. They have codes painted on them. Bring them back with you and place them here (shows a table) and uncover the secret word. The first team to spell out the word, with the codes given, wins immunity."

Koror sit out Katie. They all take places on the beach waiting for Jeff to say "GO!"   They all hit the water at the same time. Poor Willard gets left in the wake.

Ulong is the first tribe to make it to the platform, but can’t seem to get the whole tribe to work together. Kim does nothing. (Guess she didn’t want to get her hair wet!) Ulong has a 10 foot lead.

Koror still waiting on Willard, he finally makes it and Tom and Ian start to dive down and pull the locker closer. Tom makes up some lost time and catches Ulong. They work out a system and two at a time go down and pull the rope. They end up in front of Ulong, and seem to really pull it together. Back to Ulong. They are really far behind, Kim still isn’t going under water.

Koror are the first ones to have the footlocker in front of them and Ian goes down to open it and start removing all the mess kits. Once they all have them the head back to shore. Poor Willard is behind again, but seeing as Ulong are still trying to get their locker it doesn’t really affect the competition. The get to the table and take off the cover to reveal the word IMMUNITY, and get busy on placing the Morse code kits in the correct position. Once they do it, Jeff congratulates them and hand over the Immunity Idol.

Ulong are still in the water, we see Stephanie punch the water. They really thought they had this won I guess. Jeff hands Koror the idol. He tells Ulong that he will see them at Tribal council. They board their outriggers and head back to camp.  imagePart III [10 minutes]
Part 4 - [By Trewa]  Ashlee: "When we lost today everyone was so disappointed and to make it worse it was raining so our main priority was, oh crap, I hope our fire didn't go out. Luckily we were able to scoop up any hot coals that we could and rushed to a cave."
Angie, Stephanie and James talk alliance in the cave. Angie says she told Ashlee that she is up for whatever the alliance wants because they really came through for her at the last tribal council. James and Stephanie want Kim out.

James: "At the IC Kim didn't want to help, the team, pull that chest. So I'll tell you how it's going to happen, Kim is gone! Oh ya, for sure!"
James then goes to talk to Jeff and tells him that he sees Kim as a threat because he sees the two of them together. Jeff says Ashlee because she is breaking down.

Jeff: "James is definitely rubbing me the wrong way. he doesn't have the right to come up to me and say "It's Kim over Ashlee." Well not to me it's not. Ashlee has changed her frame of mind, I can see her slowing down. I mean, at this point, lets just vote off our weakest link."

Bobby Jon comes to Stephanie and says that he has been thinking and that he honestly thinks Ashlee should go.

Bobby Jon: "Honestly Kim and Ashlee are both right here. One's up, one's down, one's up, one's down. So you gotta go with your gut instinct."
Stephanie tells him that she really thinks they have to break Kim and Jeff up.

BJ says he doesn't see what wrong with that really. Stephanie points out how she thinks Jeff and Kim are planning on going to the end together and how Kim didn't even try at the IC. Stephanie thinks they are going to be going into the tribal council with a tie because of how she see the votes going down.

Stephanie tells Kim that it is between her and Ashlee when Kim questions her. Says it's a consensus, everybody. Kim wants to know who is voting her off. Says she will respect them more if they just tell her. Also says she doesn't want to go home to James and asks him to tell her if he is voting for her. He winks and says ok. Stephanie tells Ashlee, and Angie who is with her, that Bobby Jon wasn't sure but that he thinks it's going to be Ashlee. She thinks maybe they are trying to form and alliance, and that if Ashlee goes they will be picked off one by one. Angie also thinks it will end up in a tie, but says but then you can never assume anything.

Tribal Council
Probst: "Very subdued faces." He then congratulates Angie for her amazing turnaround. Says she dominated in the reward challenge and asks her if they recognized that? She says that she thinks they did recognize it, that when someone mentioned that she would be a physical weak link it got into the others heads and that it wasn't necessarily true. We see heads nodding in the background as she says this. He then asks Kim what the reaction was as they came back to camp after losing, knowing they were coming to tribal council. Kim says the reaction to losing was "total devastation" and that she didn't realize how much you come to bond and rely on each other after only 6 days. As she says this we see Angie rolling her eyes. Then he asks Jeff if he has seen any friendships, flirting, adversaries. Give me something. Jeff says "Honestly, Kim and I have gotten to know each other a little bit more than I have gotten to know some of the other girls"

Probst then asks Kim when she felt the first initial seeds of any attraction? Day 1? Kim says "Yes day 1, because I couldn't sleep and he was staying up." He then asks Stephanie if she noticed the attraction between the two of them. She says "yes they hang out a lot" James says they've all noticed. Jeff says "Honestly, it's nice to have someone to cuddle up to when you are cold." Probst points out the way it looks to other people, how it may potentially make them think that they may have an alliance. Jeff "I think everyone understands that there are no alliances being built here." We see James' look of disbelief. Probst then says "Kim obviously you must feel the same way" She says that it has never crossed her mind that it might change anything or influence anything. Then he asks James what he is basing his vote on and he replies that he has got his mind made up, that the person he is voting out is lagging and is ready to go home.

"Time to vote. Steph you are up"

Steph (Ashlee), Ashlee (Jeff), Ibrehem who votes for Kim with these words "Ashlee was the one who picked me to be on this tribe, so I just feel I should be somewhat loyal to her now.", Angie (Ashlee), Kim (Ashlee), Jeff votes for Ashlee saying "I am a man of my word. Plus you just bug the hell out of me", James (Ashlee), then Bobby Jon (Ashlee) all take their turns voting. Probst says "I'll go tally the votes." "Once the votes are read the decision is final. That person will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes." First vote Kim, second vote Ashlee, third vote Jeff, fourth vote Ashlee, fifth vote Ashlee, sixth vote Ashlee. "Four is enough. You need to bring me your torch." " Ashlee your tribe has spoken. It is time for you to go." "Well I sense that tonight was tough. I do believe you guys are a tight tribe with a lot of good energy, but my take get a clear goal first, then harness that energy. Grab your torches and head back to camp. Good night."

Ashlee's final comments:  I'm just so incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity. I was not surprised at all by tonight's vote. I think they all sensed I was ready to go home. The only regret I have is that I did not use the excuse that I cold to cuddle with Ibrehem, because he sure is a cutie.  imagePart IV [10 minutes]

February 17, 2005  Episode #1:  "This Has Never Happened Before"

Part 1: [By: cman]
Welcome to Survivor: Palau, where the blue water is practically clear, where the islands are as numerous as starts in the sky, and the World War 2 Memorabilia sticks around like die hard fans after a concert. And now these 20 survivors will live like some World War 2 Soldiers, with only the canteens and the clothes on their back to keep them going. Welcome to Survivor.

As the tribes sail to their new home, they are encountered by Jeff, who has some news for them.

1) Machete and map at your spot (points to the beach)
2) First guy and girl on the island get immunity.
Oh, and the island is a mile away.

As soon as he says this, the boat tears off. With people moving all over, going back forward, side to side, all around, and apparently into some musical fantasies. Suddenly,

Wanda stands up and starts singing.....and singing......and singing......and still singing. Apparently this seasons (or episodes) lunatic has already been decided. Leave your Jerri's and Omarossa's at the door, we've got one.

Soon after, Stephanie and Jonathan hit the water, with about half a mile still to go. And for every one stroke they swam, the boat takes 2 to 3 to eventually a lot more. They regretted their decision immediately and were left in the dust. Everyone else paddled on, until about twenty to thirty feet from the shore, where everyone jumps out, and while Ian gets their first with no competition, Jolanda battles a few girls to get the necklace. Soon after, everyone starts talking and wondering what they are doing, and more importantly, what is going to happen next

On a side note, Stephanie and Jonathan just lost two pounds from a swim they are still doing! imagePart I [10 minutes]

Part 2: [By: jem2405] Day 1
Everyone is trying to organize who is doing what. Jolanda seems to be the bossy one and is telling everyone what to do. They finally decide who is going for the water and who is gathering things they will need to build their shelter.

Coby tells us "When we got on the beach it was just a blur, with all the immunities and the craziness of being dropped off. But I think we got everything really quickly. We found the map to the water source. We got shelter and food. People grouped together. It was quick."

We see Wanda in the jungle singing her song again! People asking if she is "OK."

In his interview Tom tells us. "You know it’s funny, everyone walking off in different directions. Lets get water, lets get shelter. I had a few people try and wrangle me into making fire and I was like, that’s a looser job man!"

We see then younger guys back at camp trying to get a fire going. Not doing a very good job of it either, I might add! We then join some of the girls making fashion statements with their jeans and skirts. Cutting things to make them work better.

Ian explains it to us, "Oh Gosh. They’re chopping things off left and right. Pants are coming off, skirts are getting higher, shirts are being tied."

Back to the water fetchers. We watch Coby walking in the water looking up toward the beach where the others have found water and a duffel bag. They all jump up and down.

Angie tells us, "We were so excited to get to the water source. We also found everyone shoes. It’s really nice to be able to take it back to camp and say, look no more stilettos. We have real shoes!"

On the way back Angie and Coby are talking. They both agree that they are kindred spirits as they are different from all the others. Coby tells Angie that he was glad when he saw her, as it meant he wasn’t the weirdest person here. Later Coby tells us. "You can tell Angie and I are cut from the same cloth, we’re both different and we are the outcasts and I think we are both going to have to watch it when it comes to the conjecture of the game. Being outcasts, its going to make us targets."

Back at the beach they are making shelter. They have placed two bamboo pole ends high in the top of a coconut tree. But now they need someone to climb up there and tie them together. Janu offers to do it. She climbs up and not meaning to give the men a nice flash on the way. She later tells us, "I figured my rock climbing experience would help me so I climbed that puppy like a monkey and did what I could."

We go back to Tom and he is making alliances already with a few people, but they discuss the fact that they may end up being shuffled around at any time. Meanwhile Coby is going around trying to find out whom everyone is going to vote for and telling them that he would like to see Jonathan go. Coby tells us in a camera interview. Everyone is assuming right now that they’re all screwed. Like we have Tribal Council right now. So we all thought that we have three days of getting to know everyone. We don’t know if we have that, so everyone is just freaking out. But I’ve gone to all the groups and said who are you voting out, and told them, Oh that’s interesting what about Jonathan.

Night fall and they are all sleeping under the shelter and all seems quiet.

Day 2
Jeff makes his way to camp. He is greeted by everyone and he gets down to what’s going to happen.

He tells them Ian and Jolanda are the ones that have immunity, for the next ten minutes. They will be picking their tribes. Ian will go first as he made it to the beach to get his necklace first. Ian you will pick a girl, Jolanda, you will go second and you will pick a guy, then the people you pick will pick the next ones for your tribe. Girls picking guys and the guys picking girls. You will be picking 8 people, so you will have a 9 person tribe. Two of you will be going home right now. Whoever are the last two people left will board that boat waiting out there and you will be taken home right now. Ian and Jolanda come and take your place on the beach and start picking people.

Ian’s tribe - Katie, Tom, Janu, Greg, Jen., Coby, Karen and Willard.

Jolanda Tribe - Bobby Jon, Steff, Jeff, Kim, James, Ashlee, Ibrehem and Angie.

Wanda and Jonathan, the ones left, are the first to go home. They board the boat and as they wave to everyone they are off . Wanda sings her Survivor song. Survivors we are, We’ve got the energy and heros we will be . . .

Yolanda tells us. "I was really sad, but that’s ok. Wipe away your tears and move on. It’s in the past now."

The tribes are call Ulong and Koror. Jeff tells them they will be sharing the same beach and that they can head back to camp. imagePart II
[14 minutes]

Part 3: [By: mrspopcornsupriz] Angie from Ulong felt horrible about being picked last. She was 100% sure Coby would pick her. She feels she is the odd man out and is on the wrong tribe.

Ian from Koror says his tribe is the wiser tribe with more of the old folk against the young ones.

Ibrehem from Ulong says his tribe is more athletic and that will play a part in the game.

Challenge – Reward / Immunity
Jungle Obstacle Course. First you must make your way through the net mazes, through the tires, then you will find covered supplies. There you will find paddles you must take, fire, water, and food in crates that are weighted down to be heavy. You must untie the items and bring the items you want to keep. Go up and over a wall and then through a jungle swamp. Once you reach the canoe you can drop the items, paddle out to retrieve a flag, race back to shore. First tribe back to the mat wins immunity and all items that made it to the finish line.

Immunity Necklaces off, Immunity Idle up for grabs.
Race starts. Tom of Koror first to start, Gregg next. Jeff from Ulong next. Then Ian from Koror, then Janu. Up and over, teams are neck and neck. Ulong starts untying first. They must decide what they are going to grab. Koror leaves taking with them only fire. Ulong arguing. Koror first to the wall, Wilard has trouble getting over. Ulong on their tail. Ulong takes food and water with them. Koror going through the swamp while Ulong is finally up and over the wall. Koror in the canoe. Ulong is trying to catch up but Koror has a big lead. Ulong rowing wrong way. Jeff asks if they are looking for another island. Koror working together while Ulong is getting frustrated. Koror wins immunity and fire. Jeff congratulates them and tells them “Nice strategy.” Now Koror is given a choice. They can head back to the same camp or they can have a map to a new camp so the tribes can be at separate beaches. Koror chooses to give up what they know and start a new adventure by going to the new beach. Ulong must go back to camp and vote someone out tonight. Jeff tell them they will get some much need practice rowing when going to tribal council tonight. imagePart III [10 minutes]

Part 4: [By: cappy] Night 3 Tribal Council:
The Ulong tribe walks into tribal council. Jeff's usual statement for each first tribal council. "Behind each of you guys is a torch, grab one and approach a flame. As you know, fire in this game represents life. And so when your flame is gone, so are you."

"So, Ulong, first tribal council, I know its a place that you don't want to be. Stephanie, what's been the biggest surprise for the first three days."

"First 3 days, uh starving, cant get a first, still thirsty. We were one, now were separated, we formed a bond, now its gone. We don't know what's next."

Jeff points out that they made a bad decision by not taking just the fire as Koror did. Fire is the key to boiling water which prevents dehydrated and to cook food which provides energy. Then, he really stirs the pot with a leader conversation.

Jolanda wants to be the leader but doesn't want others to think, oh she's got a strong personality, she's too bossy, you know she's a witch. Of course, the last topic of discussion, Angie being picked last. She feels like the biggest target because she has the freak factor working on her thus making her an outcast and being picked last heavily overwhelmed her.

"Its time to vote, Jolanda your up." Jolanda is voting for Angie saying that for Ulong to be a strong team, they need to lose all those that lag behind. We also see Angie vote for Jolanda saying, "Its either you or I and I definitely do not wanting it to be me."

Jeff: "Ill go tally the votes. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, the person being voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. Ill read the votes.

First vote: Angie. Jolanda. One vote Angie, one vote Jolanda. Angie. Two votes Angie, one vote Jolanda. Angie. Three votes Angie, one vote Jolanda. Jolanda. Three votes Angie, two votes Jolanda. Jolanda. Were tied, three votes Angie, three votes Jolanda. Jolanda. That's four votes Jolanda, three votes Angie. 1st person voted out of Survivor: Palau, Jolanda. Need to bring me your torch." Jolanda grabs her torch, passing by her old tribe-mates, she says "Good luck guys, I want you to win." Jolanda puts her torch in place. Jeff: "Jolanda, your tribe has spoken." Jeff snuffs the torch. "Its time for you to go. Well if its going to be one thing your going to take away from tribal council is this: you need to stop with the excuses and get a plan or else your going to be back here very soon. Your not going to go back to camp with fire, your going to earn it." A little hint here that maybe Ulong cant build fire and that they're going to get supplies in the next reward challenge. Jolanda's final words: "I would give anything for a million dollars. I mean I am the oldest and I think differently than my tribe. They are a lot more happy-go-lucky than I am but that's find because this was a great adventure. I think its an experience I think everyone should try."imagePart IV [10 minutes]

February 12, 2005  Survivor 10
Hi, Welcome to our Survivor 10 Recap page. This page is the result of a small group of fans.   This is our second time doing a Survivor page.  Each week we get four people to write about a segment of the show.  After the show, they send their summaries to me, Morty, and I paste them together and add pictures and video clips.  We do have a problem; we're short of people to write.  We're looking for volunteers to write a portion of a Survivor synopsis. It's not hard to do, even if you've never written more than emails.  Click Here for details.

The web sites listed to the left, are far better resources of in depth coverage, we're just here for fun, and to fill you in on what you might have missed. Our message board, however has become a a repository of of information, gossip and spoilers, Check it out.  I'm hoping this page becomes a unique little Survivor outpost, that you'll enjoy visiting once or twice a week.
