17, 2005 Episode #10: "Eating and Sleeping With the Enemy" |
Previously on Survivor: Gary, Danny and bobby Jon found themselves on the outside of the alliance of six. So the search for the hidden immunity idol intensified. At the award challenge, the survivors competed for a variety of meals. Judd dominated the challenge winning the best meal. The next
day Judd shared the clue with Stephenie. Then he lied to the others about the possible location. And Jamie's paranoia annoyed his closest allies.
But at the challenge, Jamie won immunity and calmed his nerves. Back at camp, the alliance targeted Gary. Knowing he was in trouble, Gary continued to search for the immunity idol and made an interesting discovery. When it came to vote for tribal council -- Gary caught his tribe off-guard when he revealed he found the idol. With Gary safe, Bobby Jon was voted out. Eight are left. Who will be voted out tonight?

Night 24
Back from tribal council, Steph is heard congratulating Gary on the Idol find and everyone wants to know when and where he found it. He says, “At the
Mayan worship Ceiba Tree.” He also tells them he found it today. He
explains to us that everyone had to change their votes to Bobby Jon because he found the idol.
Jamie explains that he thinks Gary is shady. Then we see him taking to Cindy about Gary voting for her. Cindy explains to us that every time they come back from tribal council Jamie picks a fight about something. This time it’s that Gary voted for her to cause waves
in the tribe. Cindy isn’t bothered and tells us that Jamie got mad at her because she didn’t get mad at Gary.

Day 25 - Reward Challenge
The tribe makes its way to the mat and Jeff can explains the challenge. They will be divided into two teams, one pair of men, one pair of women on each team. Each pair will be attached by a rope. Moving one pair at a time, you will race through a deep mud pit as well as a series of obstacles. You will go over the first obstacle, under the second, over the third obstacle, at the end you will find pots filled with corn. Grab a pot and head back over the same obstacle. Once you make it back to your mat, empty your corn into your finish pot, while the other pair heads out. The first tribe to fill their pot to the white line wins a reward. He goes on to explain that they are playing for. “The winning team will leave here via helicopter and be taken to a beautiful private home. Get a shower and wash your clothes. And then
be given pajamas, because
you're spending the night. In the morning, you will awake to the smell of Folgers coffee. Re energize you, rejuvenate you for the last few days.”
The Teams are - Jamie and Rafe. Cindy and Lydia.
Gary and Judd. Stephenie and Danni. 
Jeff gets them underway. Jamie and Rafe set off and have a good lead and are first back with corn to fill their pot followed by Judd and Gary. Lydia and Cindy slow their team down while Steph and Danni catch up. Rafe and Jamie make up the time again and get back first with the next pot of corn. But Lydia and Cindy fall behind while Steph and Danni make up time again. Steph and Danni get back first winning the challenge for their team of four. Jamie is really unimpressed and wants them to finish. Cindy said, “It’s a done deal, they already won Jamie.” Steph, Danni, Judd and Gary set off on the helicopter while the defeated four look on.
Part One [9 minutes]
The lucky four make their way to their reward in the helicopter. Danni tells us, “Just to get away from camp was enough. It's my first time actually in a helicopter. That was an awesome experience in itself.” They all discuss how weird it will be to see a bathroom. After they land, they are greeted by the owner of the house and walk to the pool area where they can wash the mud off. Steph and Danni go first and Danni comments on two hot girls showering together.
Gary goes next followed by Judd. He removes every piece of clothing. (Thank you CBS for blocking out the “Judd parts” none of us wanted to see.)
While Steph and Danni snicker in the pool. Once clean they spend some time
in the pool then move to the table and stuff their faces. Danni is surprised at how much food Stephenie can eat. She eats more than her and that’s a lot of food. Steph talks about the rest of the tribe back at camp. She thinks Lydia is probably feeling really down about the challenge.
At camp, Lydia is apologizing to everyone. Rafe is trying to cheer her up. With a smile, he confesses to her that the helicopter ride is the only thing that really upset him and she laughs. Later, Jamie is paranoid and is asking for Rafe’s word as a man not to vote him out. First he wants Rafe to promise him the final three with Judd then top six. In confessional Rafe tells us, “I had almost given up trying to understand Jamie’s strategy in the game. I think Jamie’s is just kind of losing it almost in terms of paranoia. He just letting the game really, really get to him and he is constantly freaked out.”
Back with the others on their reward, they’re all still eating while sitting around in clean pajamas. Gary decided that it’s time to try and make a deal with Steph and Judd. He feels he has nothing to lose as he will be the next to go. He told both Judd and Stephenie that he wanted the best players at the final four. Stephanie agrees with his logic of being the best, beat the best. But she has a good thing going right now. Judd feels that bonding with Gary and Danni wont affect his game cause he knows what his game plan is. After
 their discussion, they all retire for the night.
Part Two [6 minutes]
Day 26
Waking from their sleep in comfortable beads, the four smell the aroma of coffee. They find six different flavors of Folgers coffee waiting for them with breakfast. Sitting around the small coffee table, Lou makes his way up the stairs with a package. He places the package on the table and leaves the group to investigate
what's inside the package. Judd excitedly says, “It looks like video tapes!” Gary confirms it, while Danni and Steph are in tears. Judd watches first followed by, Danni, Stephenie and Gary. (This part always makes me soppy!)

Day 26
Danni, Steph, Gary and Judd all head back to camp. Steph is carrying a basket with her and she hides it until she sees Cindy. She gives it to her and its full off Folgers coffee bags as Cindy is a HUGE coffee fan. Judd heads straight for Jamie as he knew he would be paranoid about Steph and Judd making alliances with Gary and Danni.
 Immunity Challenge:
As always they make their way in and Jeff explains, “Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. Here is how it works. You will be attached to one long rope, which is threaded through three obstacles and you will have to climb over and under and go around as you race through the obstacles. The first four to the finish move onto the final round. For the final round you will be again attached to one rope. Only this time the obstacle is three level high and that will seriously
complicate things. First person to finish wins immunity. Guarantees them self a one in seven shot at $1 million. We will draw up the position and get started.”
Gary, Steph, Cindy, Rafe and Jamie do well at the first obstacle. Judd gets caught up at the start and Jeff can’t see Danni as she is on the ground trying to maneuver. Lydia is doing better this time. Rafe is the first to make it to stage
two along with Jamie. Stephenie makes it to the next stage while Gary and Cindy fight for the forth spot. Cindy and Gary fight it out but Cindy makes it over the line first. Cindy, Rafe, Jamie and Stephenie start the next round. Cindy and Rafe are head to head, Cindy falls behind and Rafe makes it to the finish first and he wins Immunity.
Part Three [11 minutes]
Back at camp everyone is congratulating Rafe on his win. In confessional he tells us, “It's crazy. Of the three immunities I have competed in, I won two and finished second in one of them. I just made myself a huge threat in the game. I think I am going to have to change the way I’m playing.”
They’re all talking about how hard the challenge was. Gary explains that he was just too big to fit through. Jamie, paranoid again is talking to Judd making sure he is safe for tonight. In confessional Jamie tells us, “I didn't win immunity today, Rafe did. But he is not a serious threat. Gary is. Eventually they will catch on. I’m the serious threat. So I'm trying to work it where they keep it to the six that got here together. I'm working that card a lot.” He asks Cindy if they are still sticking to the plan. She confirms that she is sticking to the final six. She tells us later, “For me personally, Jamie's paranoia is just getting crazy. He just don't know when to get quiet. It's ridiculous and it's getting old.” Jamie approaches Rafe again to make sure. Rafe later tells Lydia that Jamie is driving him insane! They
discuss Jamie with Stephanie and the consider the votes tonight.
Tribal Council:
Jeff brings is Bobby Jon after everyone takes a seat. He gets down to the questions.
Jeff: Steph, the biggest reward we have had so far, and did it give you time to bond with Gary and with Danni and with Judd? Steph: Yeah, it absolutely did. We just enjoyed each other's company and got to know each other. Especially with Gary, because he almost went home the day before. We really kind of bonded so that was cool. Jeff: Gary, mentally where are you at in this game right now? Gary: I think the most important thing out here is a positive attitude in my survival situation and we are in a survival situation. You know. I’m weak. I can't do the things you normally do. So I'm just trying to be upbeat and make it through every day. And what happens has. 
Jeff sends Jamie up to vote first, he votes Gary and says, “I hope we can be friends one day but tonight it's either you or me, buddy.” Gary’s vote it shown, he votes Jamie and Says, “Jamie, you have a big heart and I want you on my team any day of the year.” Judd’s vote is shown and it’s for Gary. He says, “Gary, thanks for sharing this experience with me buddy. We have to let you go. Thanks for everything and god bless you.” After they are finished, Jeff tallies the votes. Jeff counts seven votes. Jamie with five of them is the eleventh person voted out. Jeff snuffs hit torch and Jamie’s parting words to his tribe, “Blind sided -- nice! Now that's how you vote somebody out. Later!” Jeff tells them, “Well, Jamie just gave you the best advice anybody could. Blind sided. Who you share information with and what information you share is critical if you want any shot in this game. Consider that a gift. Grab your torches. Head back to camp. Good night.”
Jamie’s final words: It really hurts that Lydia voted against me, only because I took her so far. As much as I warned Lydia about times she was in trouble, she couldn't tell me I was in trouble so that will be hard for me to forgive her for that. It's hard to see good people go bad but that's how the game is played. Honesty is a huge thing, and I don’t think I ever want to lie no matter what it comes down to.
