At last, after years of digging up those shabby PD copies of Petticoat Junction from the cheapie bins at Walmart, it's here!  The real deal, authorized by the Paul Henning estate, a 26 episode DVD of the best of Petticoat Junction!  26 restored episodes!  OK, I wanted full season releases, but this is great too.

Petticoat Junction VHS
This hit, homespun series ran on CBS from 1963 to 1970 and was set in the laid-back town of Hooterville. Kate (Bea Benaderet) was the widowed owner of the Shady Rest Hotel, aided by her three beautiful daughters, Betty Jo, Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo, and lazy Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan). Also stars Charles Lane and Frank Cady.

Petticoat Junction, Vol. 1 VHS
Featured are the pilot episode "Spur Lane to Shady Rest," in which Homer Bedloe's railroad investigation brings him to Hooterville. Then Uncle Joe gets into the cologne business in "Please Buy My Violets," and Kate tries to get Billie Jo a date in "Kate's Recipe for Hot Rhubarb." 75 min.

Petticoat Junction, Vol. 2 VHS
A brochure about the Shady Rest is sent to a travel columnist in "A Night at the Hooterville Hilton." And in "Herby Gets Drafted," a fellow who likes Billie Jo is drafted into the service. 50 min.

Petticoat Junction, Vol. 3 VHS
Bobbie Jo becomes infatuated with a hipster poet in "Bobbie and the Beatnik," and Uncle Joe tells overweight women that the Shady Rest is a reducing farm in "Last Chance Farm." 50 min.
