Here's
another annoying obstacle, on October 3rd
Gimme a Break
Season Two
will be released, but it won't be for sale in the US, only in Canada, but
we can buy it from amazon.ca, and have it shipped to the US. The
regular price is $34.95, but they're taking 30% off so it's $24.95, but
the shipping to the US is $10 so the price is about $34.95. Is it me
or is this just maddening? It contains all 22 episodes, Nell Goes to
Jail, Grandpa's Visit, Porko's, The Chief's Gay Evening, Grandpa Robs a
Bank and 17 others.
My
Name Is Earl: Season One came out September 19th.
All 24 first-season episodes--including "Pilot," "Stole Beer from a
Golfer," "Monkeys in Space," "Boogeyman," and "Number One"--are collected
in this set. I deliberately avoided the reruns on TV so all these
great episode would still be fresh when my DVD got here.
It's
getting near Halloween, are you ready with classic TV on DVD? First,
you'll need
The Addams Family, Vol. 1
I am so exited about this. You get the first 22 episodes from season
one--including "The Addams Family Goes to School," "Gomez the Politician,"
"Morticia Joins the Ladies League," "The New Neighbors Meet the Addams
Family," and "Amnesia in the Addams Family" in a three-disc set. 9 1/2
hrs. total. Audio commentary; featurettes; theme song karaoke. The
last time I saw these on marathon on TV they were edited to shreds,
see them the way they were meant to be seen!
Want
some more laughs? Then you need the Spooky and side-splitting
compilation features seven Halloween-themed episodes from "Roseanne" from
the Roseanne: Halloween Edition DVD.
It includes "Boo!," "Trick or Treat,"
"Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down," "Halloween IV," "Halloween V," "Skeleton in
the Closet," and "Halloween: The Final Chapter." 186 min. total. With an

And
lastly, here's a treat for TV fans, An Evening With Paul Lynde
You loved him in "Bye Bye Birdie" and on "Bewitched"
and "Hollywood Squares," and now Paul Lynde lives again in this
captivating one-man show starring Michael Airington as the sardonic
"center square." Through his astonishing impersonation of Lynde, Airington
offers a hilarious--and surprisingly poignant--overview of the late
funnyman's life and career. 72 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby
Digital 5.1; deleted scene; interview.
