Netflix has announced that the psychological thriller Innato, starring Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) and Imanol Arias (Cuéntame cómo pasó), will premiere on Netflix in Spain on December 23.
The cast is rounded out by Emma Suárez (Intimacy), Roberto Álamo (Bank Under Siege), Aura Garrido (The Innocent), Ane Gabarain (Patria), Fernando Guallar (Love, Divided), Clara Sans (Celeste), Juan Blanco, Natalia Huarte, Joana Vilapuig, Ignacio Mateos, Tito Asorey, and Teo Soler, among others.
Innato tells the story of Sara (Elena Anaya), a psychologist who has left behind a traumatic past as the daughter of Félix Garay (Imanol Arias), a serial killer once dubbed by the press as “the diesel killer.” Today, the idyllic life Sara has built with her husband Aitor (Roberto Álamo) and their teenage son Sebas (Teo Soler) begins to crumble when Félix is released from prison, coinciding with a new wave of crimes that seem to replicate the murders committed 25 years earlier. After hiding her past from her family for years, Sara must now work with the police to solve the new cases.
Innato (8×45′) is a Plano a Plano Bilbao production created by Innato La Serie AIE, in association with Dynamic Television. César Benítez, Emilio Amaré, Álvaro Benítez, Fran Carballal, Dan March, and Carrie Stein serve as executive producers of the series, which is directed by Lino Escalera (Hamburg, Can’t Say Goodbye, Elite) and Inma Torrente (Valeria, Desaparecidos).
The writing team, coordinated by Fran Carballal, is composed of Enrique Lojo, Pablo Roa, Verónica Marza, Fernando Sancristóbal, and Pablo Manchado.
