Highly Anticipated “Wicked” Special Gets November 6 Air Date on NBC and Peacock Ahead of the November 21 Theatrical Release of “Wicked: For Good”

Academy Award®-nominated stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will lead a one-time-only two-hour “Wicked” special event at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on November 6 @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.

In celebration of Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated film “Wicked: For Good,” Erivo and Grande will be joined by their co-stars and other surprise guests to perform many songs from the first movie – and maybe, just maybe, a little bit from the upcoming film.

“Wicked,” released last November, became a global phenomenon and grossed more than $750 million at the worldwide box office to become the biggest Broadway musical adaptation of all time. The film went on to become Universal’s biggest PVOD title of all time and Peacock’s biggest Pay 1 streaming launch ever.

“Wicked” garnered 10 Academy Award® nominations, securing two wins.
