POV, the longest-running television showcase featuring the work of America’s best contemporary-issue independent filmmakers returns for it’s 31st season with Bill Nye, the star of the 1990s TV series Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Bill Nye made science accessible and exciting to a generation of young people. This POV documentary looks at Nye’s fascinating life and career.

Bill Nye is on a mission to stop the spread of anti-scientific thinking. The former star of PBS KIDS’s Bill Nye The Science Guy now runs The Planetary Society, where he’s launching a solar propelled spacecraft into the cosmos and advocating for science, research, and discovery.

In addition to taking off his signature “Science Guy” lab coat, Nye has started taking on those who deny the importance of science, from prominent creationist Ken Ham to climate change skeptic, meteorologist, and occasional Fox News commentator Joe Bastardi. Nye goes head-to-head to advocate for the scientific community and its invaluable findings.
