Live in the house, BB invites Tim, Tahan and Jade to head to the BY to enjoy the
finale. This is your show, BB says. The BY is decorated with white
lanterns, a white couch and a huge wall TV to watch the show live along with the
rest of Australia. Sonya comes on the screen from inside the DR.
This will be a massive show, Sonya says, and you three are the stars!
Australia 2013 finale opens with a quick video recap of the season, culminating
in the Final 3's final thoughts ahead of the finale. Then
outside on the main stage, all the evicted housemates return, each carrying a
lantern as they dance before the audience and then assemble on stage in a
choreographed number. Australia welcomes Sharon, Rohan, Xavier, Jasmin,
Caleb, Matt, Tully, Katie & Lucy, Nathan, Ben, Mikkayla, Madeline, Ed and Boog
to the finale!
Tim, Jade and Tahan have outlasted all their fellow housemates but which one
has done enough to win? Lines are still open for Australia to decide the
winner, and the lead over the last 24hrs has changed many times, with 1.4%
separating the top two housemates (please note polls are closed, the winner has
already been decided). In the BY, the housemates decide to pop
the chilled champagne. They get a pep talk from last year's winner and
runner up, Ben and Layla, hosting a VIP Super Fan finale party. Get your
Votes A La Layla on, Layla says.
It's time to relive the housemates and their evictions as the Final 3 watch
and laugh along with the video highlights package. First went Sharon, then
Rohan, then Xavier. The first three evictees return to the main stage to
talk with Sonya. Sharon said she thinks she left because she was the most
boring. Rohan and Ben have caught up since Ben was evicted, and Xavier is
still obsessed with the show, offering up his opinions of the Final 3
housemates. He thinks Tahan should win.
Big hair, big arms, and a big mouth, BB highlights the evictions of motor
mouth Jasmin, fireman Caleb and feisty Heidi. After the three evictees
take the stage, Jasmin says she has her bright red lipstick on for Tim.
Caleb has returned to his job as a fireman and using his celebrity to raise
money for kids charities, and has been spending a lot of time with Matt having
fun. Heidi got a promotion with her media company and moved to a new job
across the country and in with her boyfriend.
The lines are now closed and the votes are being verified. But it
should be no surprised Tim was playing the game up until the final moment, as we
take a look at the housemates preparing for bed on their final night in the BB
House. Tim adds to a wall display with items from all the evicted
housemates that they call the Wall of Fame. Tim calls it the Wall of
Shame. They fall silent as they think of all the items and the housemates
they represent. Later in the Hot Tub, Tim drunkenly tells Jade that he
thinks Jade wouldn't have made it to the finale had Ed not gone first and he
went first because Tim made the moves on Jade to knock Ed off his game.
The housemate crawl into bed for the last time as BB wishes them a good night
and dream well, because tomorrow, for one of them, their dreams will come true.
The next highlights package recaps the tasks, challenges and competitions
during the season.
There was a time when the BB House was populated by a soldier, a social media
expert and sugar in human form. Please welcome Matt, Tully and the Sugar
Sisters Katie & Lucy. Watching along, Tim, Tahan and Jade learn for the
first time of the controversy in Australia caused by Tully and Drew's
relationship. Since leaving the BB House, Matt got to meet his niece
for the first time, Tully and Drew caught up with Drew and his family, and Katie
& Lucy thanked everyone for being so sweet to them. They want Jade to win.
Tim, Jade and Tahan are convinced that Drew and Tully are BF and GF now.
The next group of evicted housemates include a cat, the housemate who wore
pajamas, a lawyer and for the first time in world-wide BB history, a housemate
who sacrificed himself to save another. BB rolls the highlights for
Mikkayla, Ben, Nathan and Madeline, who then join Sonya on the main stage.
Nathan explains his altruism but the biggest applause goes to Ben, a standing
ovation that pushes him to tears of gratitude. BB has Ben doing more odd
jobs backstage, he reveals. Mikkayla misses Mr. Clooney and is so happy he
has been placed with a wonderful family. Madeline's favorite task was the
Freeze challenge and the children's choir.
In the BY, the Final 3 housemates count down to the final 3 evicted
housemates, rationalizing that is how much time they have left until they find
out who won the game. But first, BB has another highlight video of the
hijinks in the
house, followed by highlights from the Final 6 and the fairytale of Jade and Ed
and his cards. But Ed didn't play his strong suit and his house of cards
collapsed. Next we look at Boog shaking the house upside down but couldn't
change the fate of the BB Intruder. Drew entered the BB House on a lie but
quickly became the most trusted housemate until Australia's trust ran out.
Ed, Boog and Drew return to the main stage where Ed says an honest, genuine
person like Jade deserves to win. He says he has been waiting for Jade to
get out of the house but he's going to wait until she's out of the house to
deliver any messages. Boogs says she has been overwhelmed but loving it
since leaving the house on Monday. Drew didn't win BB but was pretty happy
catching up with Tully after leaving the house. In the BY, Tim and Tahan
are excited but Jade says you've lost me as her emotions at seeing Ed again
begin to take control.
Back to the VIP Party, BB9's Ben has the Final 3's number one fan, a woman
describing herself as the blonde Tahan. Jade's number one fan says Jade
and Ed are like Snow White and Prince Charming. And BB9's Layla has Tim's
number one fan is wearing a skeleton onsie, naturally. We go
back to the highlight packages with a look back at the tensions caused by this
year's big twist, the Halfway House and the Save House. Only
Ed never tasked life on the other side until the house was united. BB has
one more twist to play as the Green Room has been turned into a Safe Greenroom
and a Halfway Greenroom with the evicted housemates watching the party from the
wrong side of the fence.
Next we have a highlight package of some of the best BBisms: Please
refrain from drowning the intruders. BB doesn't like it when you touch his
nuts. I'm coming to get you, Tully! Mr. Clooney, does that salad
belong to you? This is followed by video clips of fans across saying who
they want to win. The fate of the three final housemates have been decided
by Australia and before we can crown the winner, we have to evict the second
runner up. The girls are very emotional but Tim just wants popcorn.
Jade just wants Sonya to lay off on Ed. Tahan says her nerves are at a 9
out of 10.
Prepare to turn it up, because the time has come for one of you to leave.
The votes are insanely close with only the slimmest of margins separating the
final 3. After receiving the least number of votes to win,
it's time to go... It's time to go... It's time to go...
Tahan takes a final swig of champagne, gets a huge hug and words of
encouragement from Tim. She gives Tim and Jade congratulations, gives a
quick freak-out shake, then the BY door opens and she is gone from the house.
How did we do this, Tim asks Jade? Jade cries in Tim's arms. You did
it, Tim says. You did exactly what you wanted, Jade tells him.
I'm not going to lie, Tahan sits down with Sonya to view her highlights
package. Honesty is the best policy, she says, but I've learned to pick
your battles, adapt to different people and sometimes sugar coat your words.
For coming in 3rd place, Sonya reveals, she has won $5000. Shut the front
gate, she exclaims! Honest and uncensored right up to the end, Tahan says
she wants Tim to win because Jade hasn't been completely herself because she's
trying to get a career out of the show. Tahan is reunited with her mom,
sister and most importantly, her boyfriend.
There are only 2 possible outcomes remaining, either Tim or Jade will
win Big Brother Australia 2013. The Final 2 are back on the couch in the
BY watching the big screen TV. Tim says he's either a genius or a crazy
idiot. Jade thinks Tim will be a great role model for kids Uh oh,
Sonya says. After Tahan is welcomed into the Green Room by her fellow
evicted housemates, the 8 members of the evicted housemate jury vote for who
they want to win. The score comes out to Tahan and Tim on 3, 2 for Jade.
A lot of good that does me, Tahan jokes.
Big Brother's Personal Assistant Ben reports for work bright and early,
providing a behind the scenes look at the BB House. Tim and Jade watch with rapt
attention as they realize what's been going on around them all this time.
Back to the housemate jury, the remaining housemate vote Tim and Tahan are still
tied and Jasmine has the deciding vote for... Tahan! Unfortunately
you don't win, Mike says, unless this was BB Canada. (Oh, Slam!)
Tim and Jade's parents are both on the main stage. Jade's mom says Jade
gets her anxiety from her. Tim's mom says Tim doesn't get his
rebelliousness from her. But before they find whether their son or
daughter has won, BB has some reeducating to do as he presents the News of
the World from the last 101 days. They are thrilled with news of the
Australian Presidential Election and horrified to hear about the massive fires
in New South Whales, especially word that the flames came within 1KM of his
sister's home. Both are shocked at the US Government shutdown.
America went crazy, Jade says.
The next highlights package to fill the three hour finale celebration is a
look at the emotional rollercoaster ride that is Big Brother, humorously
showcasing some of the most oft repeated phrases from the season. Then
it's time to get the wait over with. We are already winners, Tim tells
Jade when they think no one is watching. You are, says Sonya, as she kicks
off a final highlight reel for the season. No other show compares, BB
says, BB changes lives. But without housemates, there is no Big Brother.
In a matter of seconds, one of you will win Big Brother. Here we go.
The winner of Big Brother 2013 is...
Jade hugs Tim, telling him she's so proud of him. Tim seems finally at
a loss for words. BB announces Jade has been evicted from the BB House and
Tim walks her to the exit door, telling he that she's strong and he's proud of
her. And then Tim is alone in the house with his thoughts and his tears.
BB tells Tim he has outlasted 18 housemates to be the last man standing. I
did it, Tim says. From the moment you walked through the doors, BB says,
you've been playing the game and ruthlessly honest about wanting to win.
However, on more than one occasion were exceedingly thoughtful to others.
You have lived your BB experience to the fullest, never wavering, and you have
carried Australia with you to this, your final moment. As sparklers go off
round the BY, BB announces:
Tim, you are the winner of Big Brother 2014!
This is my house, Tim says, this is my dream world. I don't want to go!
He paces around the pool and to the island of lost pea pods, taking deep breaths
and soaking up the reality of his Big Brother experience.
Big Brother Australia 2013 runner up Jade hits the main stage, seeing other
people for the first time in 3 months She is clearly overwhelmed at the
reception. Sonya reveals that Tim won by 2% of the vote and that as the
runner up, Jade wins $10k and the 64" 4K TV they were just watching in the BY.
I don't even have a house, Jade says. We take a look back at Jade's
highlights from the season, from marriage to divorce to romance to despair and
then finally, survival and victory.
BB calls Tim to the DR for his final visit for one very important reason, to
deliver a card: Dear Tim, congratulations on winning Big Brother 2013. Two
words - well played. Consider this your IOU. Big Brother owes you
$250,000. Enjoy the celebration. -- Big Brother
Thank you, Tim says. You are very welcome, Big Brother says, and rest
assured, BB is good for the money. You better be, Tim says, otherwise I
want the house. Or at least the pool. Tim, it's time to go.
You have not been evicted. You must now leave through the Showdown doors.
That is all.
Tim says goodbye to the DR and walking through the lounge says you are going
to miss me, BB. He goes room to room saying goodbye before heading to the
BY. I don't want to go home, he says. He walks slowly through the
BY, tears coming to his eyes as he walks though the blinding lights of the open
The final highlights package presents Tim's journey living on the edge (and
putting the rest of his housemates on edge) in the Big Brother house. And
then, after 101 days, it is time for Tim to meet his fans, basking in the glory
and the attention he claims to not need but so desperately seems to seek.
All of this, Sonya tells him, gesturing at the audience, is for you, you just
won a quarter of a million dollars!. I'm going to need a bigger wallet,
Tim jokes. We did it, Tim tells his fans.
Tim's family and friends and former housemates come out to congratulate him,
but Tim finds his way into his father's embrace.
