Tonight's Show
on CBS & Global TV at 8:00PM
Remember, you can watch Big Brother as it airs HERE.
"Tonight the epic battle for a half million dollars begins. We've got a
new house, all new HGs, and a brand new twist that is sure to keep
everyone on their toes and scrambling all summer long. For the next
three months, the HGs of
Big Brother will be cut off from the
outside world while more cameras and more microphones than ever before
will capture every single dramatic moment. Get ready because it's time
for another summer of
Big Brother," greets Julie Chen.
"Good evening, I'm Julie Chen and welcome to the
Big Brother two
night premiere event! If you thought last summer was twisted, you
haven't seen anything yet. Tonight we'll unleash three twists into the
game. One is a fan favorite, one is a secret that only you'll know
about, America. The other twist will shake up the game each and every
week like never before. It's called the
Big Brother Takeover and
you'll learn more about that later in the show. But first, we can't
start anything until we meet the first eight HGs."
First up we meet James, who is from SC. He stands out in the south,
everyone has to take a double look at him. He wears camouflage. He was
adopted as a baby, he doesn't know his true ethnicity. It's all about
country. Hiking, fishing, riding trucks with the boys, getting stuck in
mudholes, anything outdoors he loves. He's tough and competitive and is
going to win the dang money.
Meg is up next. She loves living in NY City, so many things to do and
people to see; she's always on the move. She lives with her gay best
friend - her gusband - her gay husband. They're like a married couple.
She likes to be manipulative but her bubbly personality will be an
asset, they won't see the manipulative side coming. Why wouldn't they
trust her?
Jace is introduced next from Venice Beach, CA. He grew up inspired by
Indiana Jones and is a born explorers. He's not afraid of anything; if
there is adrenaline involved, he's in. He's broken so many bones he
doesn't count anymore. He thinks his no fear attitude will take him to
the top of BB because he's not afraid to do what it takes to win.
Audrey is up next. She's 25 years old and a digital media consultant
from the charming town VillaRica, GA. She's not a small town girl. She's
a girly girl to the extreme. She loves expressing her femininity,
eyelashes, make up. She's not only a girls girl but she is extremely
competitive and athletic. She brings a lot to the table and she looks
forward to surprising people.
Austin the wrestler is up next. His nickname is Judas. That's his darker
alter ego. He's going to use that to lie his way to the top. People
usually judge him based on his size of 6'5" and his appearance with
tattoos all over his body. The HGs won't know that he has a degree in
Romance Medieval Literature. To be a professional wrestler, you have to
be athletic and be able to manipulate a crowd. Austin and Judas are
going to love
Big Brother.
Da'Vonne lives in Englewood, CA, city of champions. Growing up she had
to have a thick, tough exterior. She is a freelance poker dealer, has
dealt in many casinos in LA. She will use that in the game and it will
take her to the end. Her strategy is to have her ride or die and her
main apple scrapple. She wants to be covered in all angles in the house.
She doesn't mind being covered in blood up to her neck if that will get
her to the end. She is a single mom and her baby is about to be seven
months. Getting the money is her foundation set for her baby.
Clay lives on a farm. Farm life is nice, you can get away and relax. He
loves his family and loves helping his mom with the animals. He's
athletic and plays football. You have to be able to adapt and change
with football which will help with the game.
Shelli is 33 years old and lives in Atlanta, GA and she is a home stager
and decorator. A lot of people see blond hair and makeup and think she's
a girly girl. She's a girly girl who is not afraid to take things into
her own hands. When she owned her first house, she ripped out counters
herself.
Shelli is divorced and newly single. Clay is not opposed to a
showmance. Blond hair doesn't hurt.
James says 90% of people will underestimate him. Da'Vonne wants people
to think she's someone from the hood who doesn't know much about BB.
She's studied since season one. Meg is afraid of super fans.
Austin says Judas never goes anywhere without his top hat. As soon as it
goes on, lie, Judas lie. Audrey wants to be like a Dexter Morgan,
carefully collecting blood slides of every fallen HGs she's had a hand
dismantling.
The eight HGs we met are gathered on stage and Julie welcomes them.
Julie says for a history making 98 days, they will endure the most
grueling social experiment that exists. They have to be the last HGs
standing to win. How far will they go? Julie tells them they'll enter in
two groups; once through the door the game is on. The first four to
enter are: Da'Vonne, Shelli, Clay and Austin.
Shelli and Da'Vonne screech, hug each other and introduce each other.
Austin and Clay meet next, and Clay tells us Austin looks like a giant
magician. Da'Vonne tells us Clay is hot to trot! Shelli fans herself in
the DR; Clay is tall and pretty. Hey, Clay!
Audrey, Meg, Jace and James are let in next.
James can't find the bedrooms initially. The group introduces themselves
to each other.
Audrey tells us it is difficult for her to process everything that is
going on. It's the first time she's going to publically share her truth
with complete and total strangers.
James comments there is no beer after checking out the fridge. They then
discuss the fact that there is only eight of them while they
investigate. They can't agree if it will be All-Stars or more newbies
coming.
Jace comments that the girls don't want to wear dresses on the bridge;
you can see right down below. They locate the champagne and open it. Meg
pops the cork and teases that she knows how to party. They begin to
introduce each other. Jace jokes he's a pedi cab driver. Meg tells us
her high energy with Jace could connect well. Clay tells us he decided
not to tell the group that he plays football; he wants to avoid the
target on day one. Shelli tells us Clay is going to get her into trouble
this summer. She's 10 years old; she doesn't know that she cares. Age is
just a number.
Shelli tells the group about her twin brother Wes. Clay tells us there
are a lot of good looking women in the house, but Shelli takes the cake.
Shelli has a heart murmur, so does Clay. Shelli tells us their hearts
will be murmuring this summer. Da'Vonne teaches second grade, she tells
them. Da'Vonne tells us a great poker dealer is also a poker player.
She's a good bluffer. Austin tells us he plays up all his injuries but
he's perfectly healed.
James tells us he thinks Meg is really hot and looks like Taylor Swift.
Da'Vonne tells us when she hears James' accent even though he's Asian,
she's stunned. James has a three year old daughter Bailey. Audrey tells
the group that she's the first transgender person to be on Big
Brother.
The group is stunned and tell her she looks amazing. She transitioned
three years ago. Austin is impressed. James tells us it's his first time
meeting a transgender and it is new for him but he feels a connection to
her; they're both different. Audrey tells us everyone seemed super cool.
That's great, but this is Big Brother and there's only one winner and
it's game time.
They go back to discussing what could happen next for more people coming
to the house. They toast each other.
Da'Vonne, Shelli and Audrey are in the bedroom talking. Audrey wants the
girls to do well this time. She's nervous about the guys running the
show. Austin, Clay and Jace are in a different bedroom discussing
working out.
Audrey says she senses really strong energy. Da'Vonne tells us they're
tiptoeing around the word to have an alliance but it seemed like the
perfect opportunity to take a leap. She suggests an alliance and all
three agree. Shelli tells us this might be a really smart move. Da'Vonne
says they have to keep it quiet; they can pick a name later. Audrey
suggests they be calculating. Watch out boys! she says in the DR.
Later, Clay, Shelli, Da'Vonne, Audrey and James are in the third bedroom
chit chatting about their families. Clay asks how Audrey's family dealt
with her transition. Audrey says her family got very bad advice from
counselors.
Clay tells us he's never met a transgender person. He thought he had
adversity, but listening to her and what she's been through put a lot in
perspective.
All HGs are affected by Audrey. Da'Vonne tells us she feels bad to her,
but she feels Audrey may have added salt and pepper to the story and
she's thrilled when everyone appears to eat out of Audrey's hand. It's
perfect for their alliance.
Later, Julie calls everyone into the living room . The HGs tell her to
bring on the twist and the other HGs. Julie says tonight she'll reveal
two twists to them; one is a fan favourite and one is completely new.
The fan favorite - one of the biggest and best game changers from last
summer.
The HGs guess Battle of the Block and Julie confirms they are correct.
You could go from being HoH to being evicted in the same week. James
tells us no one is safe until after the BotB is played.
Two HGs will be selected each week and will each nominate two HGs for
eviction. The nominees will battle each other and the winners will come
off the block and send the HoH that nominated them back into the pool of
who can be nominated that week.
It's time for the first HoH competition! One of the eight is about to
become HoH number one. Before they head outside, they have a decision to
make. One of them have to sit the competition out. Julie will see them
in the backyard shortly with their answer.
Da'Vonne volunteers to sit out if they promise not to nominate her.
Da'Vonne tells us this could be a positive in the game or it could be a
trip back home for her. They all agree it's fair.
We head down to Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Fraser on the Red
Carpet for tonight's HoH competition. We are here for the premiere of
BB's UFOh No! It was horrible but Kevin says let's keep it positive and
hope things go well tonight. Getting down to business...
The HGs are led out. Jace is excited to be part of a Hollywood premiere.
Austin tells us all that is going through is mind is how beautiful Kevin
is. He got giddy like a school girl.
Kevin calls Jace over and asks who would play the lead role in a movie
about his life? Clay says Johnny Depp. Meg tells us Scarlett Johansen
will play her role too. Get real, Jace! Shelli wants to date Ryan
Reynolds one day when she's famous. She tells us she looks over to Clay
who looks like Ryan Reynolds and blushes. James tells us he thinks Kevin
Fraser hasn't seen a hillbilly Asian before.
Kevin turns things back to Julie. "This film, UFOh No, has received
horrible reviews which is why we're calling this competition Flying
Tomatoes." On Julie's go, critics will begin weighing in and the
tomatoes will fly. The first HGs to catch 10 tomatoes and put them in
their container will be the first HoH. Fall of their platform and they
are out of the game. This competition begins now.
Meg tells us that everyone knows the first HoH of the season is a big
deal. Even with the BotB and the new twist, HoH is the most powerful
position in the house. Clay tells us he is pretty confident with his
football playing; this competition is up his alley. Meg, Austin and Clay
all fall off their platform.
James is in the lead with three; the rest have none. James tells us now
that his biggest competition have fallen off, he thinks this hillbilly
Asian has it in the bag.
Da'Vonne tells us she sees everyone getting hit with the tomatoes and
she thinks sitting on the sidelines might have been a good idea. Jace
keeps almost slipping off the edge and saves himself twice. He catches a
tomato, then Audrey catches on.
Next count there is a three-way tie - Audrey, Jace and James with five
tomatoes apiece and Shelli with three.
James gets to eight tomatoes and the girls tease him that he's a
baseball coach. Austin tells us James is a tough physical threat; there
might be more to him than a country boy. Audrey tells us while everyone
seems accepting of her, she doesn't know where she stands and she wants
to win.
All four slip off together at the same time. Julie says they'll have to
check the replay.
Julie comes back to announce the winner. After checking the tape,
James was the last person to touch the red carpet and he's now the first
HoH of the summer! James tells us he is a competitor, that's what he
came here to do. He's not going back to Texas.
Shelli tells us she's bummed she didn't win but the other twist may be a
good thing. Audrey tells us she doesn't know what's going through James'
roly poly head. She'll have to kiss up to him and hope he doesn't
nominate her.
Julie calls the HGs to the living room as they come back into the house.
"When we look like this?" Jace comments as they head in there.
Julie announces the second twist. From Team America, to Coaches to the
MVP, twists have always been a staple of Big Brother and have
always changed up the game but no HGs has ever had to endure a new twist
each and every week until now. Welcome to the Big Bother
Takeover. They wonder aloud what that means.
The Big Bother Takeover will unleash a new game into the house
throughout the summer. Every time they hear a specific song about a
takeover, get to the living room because that means a takeover is in
effect. You never know who or what it will be. What you can be sure of
is that you'll need to expect the unexpected every single week.
They begin to discuss what this means. Da'Vonne suggests there being a
saboteur, and Austin tells us everyone will be on edge from day one.
Everyone's true colors will quickly become prominent.
It's now time to reveal a twist to America that will be a secret from
the HGs. It's called the Twin Twist, and here's how it works. One of the
HGs has an identical twin. The other HGs have no idea, but both twins
will be taking turns living in the house and competing as one person.
These two will be constantly switching places, playing as one HG. The
big question is, can these twins fool the other HGs? If they can survive
the first five HGs, they both earn the right to enter the game and play
as individual HGs.
A sneak peek at the HGs entering tomorrow night. Liz is a Capricorn and
is very feisty. She doesn't have a filter but she knows how to control
it. Jason works in a grocery store; it's not his dream job. Working for
other people for minimum wage is not a good look. Vanessa is known for
being one of the best poker players in the world. The skills it takes to
play Big Brother are the same skills it takes to play poker.
She's all in. John is a huge nerd, a geek and is proud of it. If you
like a socially awkward engineer who has a hard time holding a
conversation, he's your guy.
Becky says it's Big Brother time, kiss her goodbye!
Tune in tomorrow night as the remaining HGs move in, plus the Big
Brother Takeover twist begins as our first surprise guest delivers a
game changer. Then Sunday at 8PM the first nomination ceremony, the
first BotB and the Big Brother Takeover all continue to shake up
the game. See you tomorrow night!
Tonight's play-by-play of the
premiere of Big Brother 17 was written by BBLuver. BBLuver
has been writing up the show descriptions for many seasons and always
does a first-rate job, Thank You!
From me personally to anyone watching, I just want to say I hope you watch with compassion and an open mind, to learn something about a community you may not be familiar with. This is Audrey's story to tell, and I'm looking forward to hearing it next Wednesday when we premiere."
